"A laptop is this black thing on my desk... and the internet would be a bit difficult to explain. Or at least long and confusing." She said smiling. She opened the black laptop that had a silver Q on the front, opening to a wide black screen and the black keyboard with the white letters and numbers and pictures on the buttons. She closed it again and listened as Erik said that the Eriks were a different story.
Roselin nodded vigorously with a wide smile on her face when Erik said that he probably didn't have to ask her to see his lair. He even said that it was here in exact detail! She was practically jumping with joy. How many people..well....phangirls like herself ever had such opportunities as she had withing the whole day here? And then he slightly blackmailed her by saying that he only would if she showed him the laptop. She smiled and quickly pulled out the plushy, black, wheel chair and opened her laptop back open and clicked the power button.
The computer whirred to life and the black screen suddenly turned blue and showed a picture of a bronze metal tree with a golden background on it above a little space that required her password. For a moment, she wasn't sure if her password would work since no one would know her password to her real computer. However, when she typed in the password and pressed enter, it accepted it and the screen turned into a different picture. The background was of a golden sunset with little icons on the border of the pictures. Roselin put the rainbow mouse pointer on the IE icon. "This is Internet Explorer, one version of the internet." She said smiling, and double clicked it, reveling the internet, the screen had turned into a white screen with the word "Google" on the front.
"Google is one of the many search engines on the internet. There is also Yahoo, Bing, and I am sure a whole lot of other ones that I don't know of. And for the other versions of the internet other than Internet Explorer, there is also Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera, and a few others I can't remember the names of. There are waaay to many places one can go on the internet. If you'd like, I can show you some of the places like Youtube and Smackjeeves, and other stuff. Though I think that all could wait till another date I think." She said smiling. She then exited out of the internet and shut down her computer and closed the top. She then stood and walked out the door when he held the door open for her. "Yes, thank you." She said happily. When they got into the elevator, a light-bulb turned on above her head as she realized something. "What did you mean by Eriks...." She then stopped and her jaw dropped when she realized the list of names by the buttons. So....many.....other....Eriks!!

Roselin headed into her confusing explanation of what the computer was and simply brushed off what the internet was by saying it was too difficult to explain. Erik raised an eyebrow. The girl was young, true, but he wondered to himself if, in addition to music lessons, he should be giving her English lessons to improve her skills in explaining things. A smile pulled at the visible end of his strange looking lips.
He would figure those things out later, with or without Roselin's help. He mentioned it again, saying he would show her his quarters if she would show him the strange modern contraptions. So she sat down and opened the little machine and pressed something. Now that he had a chance to observe it, the flat contraption opened annd there was something that looked like a set of flat typewriter keys. Erik bent over Roselin's shoulder as the other piece, now vertical lit up, making some odd squeaks. Of a sudden, there was a picture, in colour on the vertical piece. Roselin typed someting in and the picture changed.
Then Roselin explaiined something about the internet which didn't explain it for Erik at all. She gave him some more odd expressions and then upon the screen was an English word he hadn't heard before...at least in this sense...google "Roselin, is there a book which explains all of this?"
Agein Roselin launched into one of her odd explanations calling Google a search engine. Whatever that could be...more and more strange words and expressions. Erik would find out what this was if there was an instruction to all of this. As of noww, he was thoroughly confused. Although, he did not wish to admit this to Roselin. He was a genius and certainly he should be able to understand anything instantly...unless Roselin was the one explaining. He sighed.
Then they left Roselin's room. He led the way to the elevator with the names of all the Eriiks and the floors their lairs were on. She questioned him on what did he mean by "Eriks" and then she must have seen the myriad of names, each with its own button. He pressed the button next to E. Lenoir and the machine started to move.

Roselin frowned ever so slightly when Erik asked if there was a book that explained all of it. "Hmm... I am not really sure. But if there is, its probably long and complicated. Most computer talk is... Though there might be something out there that would be helpful and understandable." She said with a slight nod. If there was such a book that explained all of it and wasn't so completely boring and understandable, she might just read it herself!
Roselin watched as the button lit up next to the name, E. Lenoir. Lenoir? She didn't know that they all had separate last names, though suppose that would make it easier if there were so many Eriks here. As the elevator moved, she read some of the names off of the list of names and buttons. There was only one last name she recognized out of the few she read, that one being Carriere. Most phangirls knew of the Charles Dance one, but she never thought to give that Erik the same last name as his father. Erik Carriere.
Oh she was so excited! She rocked on her heals a little bit, smiling like mad. She was going to get to see Erik's lair, one looking exactly like it! She was so ferociously excited to see it, and that there were so may other Eriks here! She wanted to meet more of them, she had only thought that it would be this Erik but it seemed that the elevator would say otherwise. And if Erik Carriere was here, she definitely wanted to meet him! Him and all the rest of the Eriks like the Claude Rains phantom, the Lon Chaney phantom, and others! "My... How may more Eriks are there here?" She wondered aloud. But then, the doors opened and Roselin was easily distracted from her question as her reaction to seeing the new world was quite similar to that of seeing the opera house.

"Apparently there are as many Eriks as there are names in the lift, Roselin. I have met Carriére, Érik who is the one without a last name and Lavalais. And I must not forget Destler. I would stay away from that fellow if I were you, Roselin. I believe th0se are the only ones I know. More people appear every day and I see names added in the lift daily. I have visited Carriére's home and Lavalais' home, both very different from mine, but both excellent."
Erik led the way down a little hallway to a set of large wooden, carved double doors. They were carved with things that related to music, staves, notes, clefs, time signatures and rests. There were roses carved between and on the staves which flowed gracefully over the wood as if the notes were being sung.
Erik pulled open the doors. It was completely dark inside. He reached down and picked up a lantern which he lit with a match from his waistcoat pocket. The soft yellow flame lit up a few feet ahead of them, showing a hanging bridge which continued into the darkness. "If you're afraid of the darkness or the bridges, take my hand, Roselin. It may be a bit cold...." Erik led the way over the bridge, which continued gently down to another one and finally to the edge of a dark, glassy lake. A beautiful carved gondola sat near the shore.
Erik placed the lit lantern in the carved prow of the small boat and stepped into the gondola. He invited Roselin to sit in the prow of the boat, just behind the lantern and facing forward. He untied the boat, and still standing, picked up the long oar and began to move the boat across the glassy, dark, silent surface of the water.

Roselin's eyes and mouth widened slightly. "You have met Carriere? Erik Carriere?! He is one of my favorite versions of Phantom. Hes really once of the nicest phantom versions." She said smiling. She then thought for a moment. "I don't think I know of a Erik version named Lavalais, I think the Erik without the last name might be the original novel Erik and Erik Destler... it sounds familiar." She mumbled a bit to herself.
Roselin looked on with wonder and delight at her surroundings. Oh if only she could have her house like this... well, not quite. But she absolutely loved the double doors with music carvings in them. Most unique and beautiful doors indeed! Roselin smiled and glanced at Erik when he said that she could take his hand if she was afraid. But really, she wasn't at all afraid. If anything, a bit curious and in complete awe. And despite her not being afraid, she took his hand anyways, just because she could.
Roselin sat on the prow where he invited her to be, she smiled widely. She almost felt like she should have been singing, just as Christine did on her first gondola ride to Erik's home. "Its like a dream..." She said quietly wile grinning greatly. The black water, though slightly spooky, was almost kind of calming because it was so quiet. Well, not that Roselin ever really enjoyed the quite, sometimes she did find it kind of peaceful and nicely relaxing. As she stared at the ripples of the water that the gondola created, her mind started to wander and soon her mind was filled with past memories and her feelings. She closed her eyes for a moment.
Roselin's father never hurt her, not physically. He never attempted to hit her or harm her in any way. Really, one of the only things that he caused to make her feel in great pain, was his lack of physical affections. He never kissed her on the cheek anymore, or hugged her before she went to school. He even stopped saying 'I love you' when shes leaving or 'Goodnight' when shes going to bed. He had also become an alcoholic, so he always smelt like bars when he came home. And when he came home, he was always asleep, sometimes in a hangover. Most of the time, she doesn't even see him anymore. The only way he had ever taken care of her anymore is by leaving money on the table for her to go out and get something to eat. She wasn't even sure if he ever payed his bills.
But Erik... Erik Lenoir... from the moment they crossed paths, he had been a gentlemen to her. He had given her food to eat, he showed her to places in the manor, he offered her music and acting lessons and complimented her on her voice, he showed her to her room- a place to stay, he is showing her his home- something private for sure, and he even offered his hand to her to take if she was afraid. Really, she didn't mind at all if Erik was to adopt her. Her father would never even know that she was gone, he might only observe that the money that he would usually give to her got higher, but by then, he would probably just spend it on some drinks or something. Her dad was a good father, before the deaths, but now it was like he was nonexistent. And Roselin really needed someone to help her out in life, and if her father wasn't going to be there for her, then who would? Already she had befriended Erik, and there were more people here! Perhaps some of them would listen to her.
Roselin reopened her eyes and blinked, she hadn't missed a thing. However, she did sigh ever so softly. Perhaps she could ask Erik if he could be her kind of adopted dad. However, that most likely would just weird him out or something. If she remembered correctly from the play, he didn't exactly have the best of childhoods. He probably wouldn't know much about taking care of a kid like herself. And even if he did adopt her, she wasn't sure if he would even ever actually hug her or kiss her on the cheek as her father did, but holding hands was just fine enough for her. She just needed somebody who would care, and Erik was the first person in a long time to actually care about her. Oh how crazy she must sound, really. As much as she wanted to, she would not ask, if he wanted to kind of adopt her, let him do it himself. Roselin wasn't afraid... she just didn't want to sound dumb and get all embarrassed as she did so may occasions before. Roselin looked at Erik and smiled a bit. "Thank you... for everything." She said smiling. And for a moment, she completely felt like she truly was talking to a father figure.

"Phantom versions? Carrière is a favourite version? The nicest?" It sounded so strange. As far as Erik was concerned, he was the only Phantom of the Opera. The others were just deformed, masked men. But perhaps she was correct...maybe all of the other masked fellows considered themselves Phantoms, too. Erik shrugged. She was undoubtedly correct. She knewmuch more about him and his story than a little girl should know. She didn't know of Lavalais, though. "Perhaps you just don't recognize his name. And Carrière is a congenial fellow. We get along quite well." Erik paused. "I myself took the name of Lenoir after I had left home. It is not my mother's name. And promise me you shall stay away from Destler. He is unpredictable and quite dangerous."
Roselin sat quietly and happily as they traversed the black, mirror-like water. She seemed to be enrapt in her own thoughts, rather unlike her usual talkative self. The only sound to be head was the regular sound of the water as Erik moved the oar. The quiet was beautiful. That's what Erik liked best about his home. The quiet, only broken by the lovely strains of his music. It could only be made better by the presence of Christine and her beautiful voice. But lately his thoughts had been turning from Christine. Since he had met Teressa Lavalais, he had thought more and more about her. She seemed to like him and had no qualms about him as Christine did. Teressa was a dancer, not necessarily a singer. However, he would find out if he could train her voice. One never knew.
The gondola arrived at the bend in the lake and Erik rowed around it. The many candles that Erik had placed on the shore and all along the cavelike floor of his home shone with a gentle, flickering glow, each with a different colour. Then the large candlabras came into view, large ebony structures in the form of strange looking women. They lent light to the higher areas of the lair.
"You are quite welcome, dear," Erik said when Roselin thanked him for everything." He smiled. He quite liked her. She was charming, if talkative. It was difficult not to like her. She made him happy by her sweetness. And she wasn't afraid of Erik and she seemed to have no airs about her. She was just being herself.
Erik stepped out of the boat and pulled it up on the shore. He offered a hand to Roselin and took the lantern from the prow of the boat. From the shore, one could see his beautiful organ and a strange structure covered with a white silken cloth. Further away were some of the caves that made up Erik's home and divided it into rooms. "Welcome to my home, Roselin." He turned and led the way into the large labyrinthian room.

"It's possible I don't recognize Lavalais's name. I definitely didn't recognized your last name so I would have had no idea it was you if I had seen it," Roselin said in agreement. "And alright, I shall surely stay away from Destler as much as I can. However... it would probably be helpful if you told me what he looked like, or if he wears a mask or something. Perhaps I've seen his version too." She said. It still sounded familiar but she couldn't really place it.
Roselin smiled as she usually did and nodded a bit when he responded back to her thanks. She stood and took his hand willingly and thankfully as she stepped off the gondola. His home. She thought happily. She looked around. She had to admit, it was so strange and yet so wonderful to be able to see the place in real. She thought it looked cool on stage and in the movie... just look at the place here from her own eyes! And because she was a bit on the shorter side, everything was a bit more big and the grandness of it all just seemed to fly off the scale!
Roselin nodded a bit happily as he welcomed her to his home. She walked a bit quietly as he led her through the maze of a place. I amazed her and put her through such awe. Not only because of it's beauty but just because it was real. It was almost like walking into a dream, being there in person and yet almost not completely there. It was so very odd indeed. But as they walked, her own silence was too deafening for her. Not that she liked to hear herself talk, she was just use to talking. Plus, she always did enjoy conversation. It was in her nature. "I could see why you were able to stay in this spookey place... well... it's really more spookey on the outside of course. Its beautiful, though dusty, on the inside." She paused and tried to get back on track.
"You have your own place within such a big place. AND you have the opera house! I am so happy that I get to live here. I mean... as you said that there were some more of the other masked men, though I am not quite sure they would like me so much. I am sure a few of them like their quietness quite a bit. Really, I always dreamed what would happen if I were to meet one of the Phantom versions, but a lot of them ended up making me think they would not like me because I talk way to much and I could imagine a lot of them could- or rather- would get quite annoyed with me. You know? I wonder which ones really would like me.... but anyways, that's one of the reasons why I was so happy that you liked me. Truthfully, not many do- even my own age here- like me. So.." She then shrugged. And there went her rambling off again.

"You want to know what Destler looks like. He has blotches of open wounded skin all over himself and especially on his face. He doesn't wear a mask, but I have seen him with some type of covering on his face which hides the oozing scars. His hair is brown and rather wild. He is several inches shorter than I am ...He often wears a duster over his clothing. Make sure you keep away from him. Hide if you must, if you see him coming."
"Thank you for the compliments on my home, but really it's not dusty. That's just the mist from the lake. I keep everything very clean, including my organ. I had its metal parts specially made so they would not rust in the somewhat misty environment. But I find it pleasant. Some find the mist lends an other-worldly atmosphere... "
Erik walked over to a round table with a lacy tablecloth and two very Victorian looking chairs. "Please dear, have a seat. May I bring you something to drink, milk or ice water or a tea of your choosing?"
"By the way, the table and lace table cloth, I had procured for Christine when I expected her to be my wife. I had prepared a bridal suite for her too." Erik looked a bit sad at these words about Christine. He expected Roselin knew what had happened. He looked down at her and as if he needed to give an explanation of what had happened, he said, "Roselin, I loved Christine with all my heart. I never expected that she would not feel the same and that we would not spend our lives together in this place, with music surrounding us..."
Erik seemed lost in his dream for a moment, then snapped out of it and came back to reality. He smiled at Roselin. I have discovered, since coming here, that there is a special woman that I believe has feelings for me as I do for her. So perhaps coming here is not a bad thing at all. Then Erik felt a warmth come to his face, a bit of a blush at revealing something so private to this girl. But she seemed to know more about him than most of the others...so why wouldn't he reveal something so private to her?
"You speak of talking too much." Erik laughed. "I have been accused of this many a time since arriving here. I used to be such a quiet fellow. Of course I had rather no one with whom to talk for quite a long time, so perhaps that explains it."

Roselin's eyes widened slightly after Erik had told her what the Destler version of Erik looked like. Without a mask but open wounded.... if her memory served her correctly, it was the Robert England version he spoke of. She hadn't seen his movie all the way through but enough to know that she never wanted to meet him, one of the few Eriks she would never like to run into. A shiver ran down her spine, he was here and she was going to be living here. "If you are talking about who I think you are talking about, I would not wish to meet him anyways."
Roselin nodded when he spoke about his home being not being dusty. Now that she looked more closely, she did realize that everything was fairly clean. And a wide smile spread across her face, even she didn't keep her room this clean. Though now that she was in her room that was kind of... not her room.... but was for her and looked like it but was in a different place.... she was going to make sure to keep it nearly as clean as Erik kept his own home. Because even with her efforts, she doubted that she would be able to keep it so clean... especially without knowing where the washing machines where and where a vacuum and such would be. Perhaps she could ask later.
"Thank you." She said sitting down in the chair. She opened her mouth to speak but then closed it right back up when he continued, talking about the table and lace table cloth. Her eyes dimmed in sadness when he spoke about it, spoke of Christine. He said that he loved her, this she knew well.... oh why couldn't Christine just see that Erik was the better guy! Sure, hes got a bit of a strange temperament and kind of stalkerish but he was the musician, architect, protective, and all he asked for was her love back. No, Christine just had to realize that she loved him all along when it was to late and it was where the whole plot for Love Never Dies is. Roselin didn't like the play all that much, but it was still Phantom. She could only dream that she could have a guy love her as much as Erik did Christine... except a bit less stalkerish and was able to be a bit more happy.
Roselin then blinked when Erik had smiled and that there was a lady.... that wasn't... Christine? For some odd reason, her mind couldn't completely compute what she had just heard. But once it did roll around in her head some, she smiled. Suppose it wasn't... all that bad... right? Happiness with another.... actually, that was probably the best thing that could happen to him. She then laughed a little when he said that he had been accused of speaking to much and what possibly could have led to that. "It happens." She giggled a bit. She then showed a little more seriousness in her face, but still a very happy and delighted expression. "I am glad you might have found someone else... maybe that's what all the Eriks really need to do... is find someone who is not Christine. That sound so strange though... for the Phantom, Christine, and Raoul to be in that love triangle.... it would definitely make the story happier though. If you don't mind me asking, could you tell me a little bit more on this nameless lady friend?" Roselin asked, giggling a little.

" I would not care for you to fall into the hands of Destler. He is not a kind fellow." But then he frowned. "You are familiar with Destler? Amazing. Then you will know what a danger he could be. Unfortunately, there is no way to make him go away..."
Erik wondered if it had been a good idea to tell Roselin that he might have another lady that wasn't Christine. He hoped she wasn't a gossip, but she did seem to run off at the mouth a bit. "Roselin, I hope that you will not spread the rumour that I may be looking at another lady instead of Christine...In fact, I have not really approached the lady with my thoughts or feelings, so I really had no business saying that as I did. Please, let it be out secret."
Then he smiled. "It appears that we have something in common, Roselin. We both tend to speak a bit too much. Some of the other Eriks have become a bit irritated wiith me. ..." He laughed. "But that's all right. Some of them are rather irritating themselves.."
Then Roselin asked if she could have a few more details about this mysterious lady friend. Erik didn't really want to go into detail, in case word might go back to her and he knew how rumours can be changed and end up nothing like they started. "Roselin, I don't wish for you to repeat this to anyone, but the lady I am interestted in is tall and blonde. That is all I shall tell you. If it works out, you shall know more later." He winked at her. "Is that all right?" He didn't think she would figure it out from those two clues.

Roselin nodded when Erik talked about Destler. Yes, she believed she knew who he was talking about. "I wouldn't care to fall into his hands either. I am almost sure I know who your talking about.... I know hes kind of scary. I couldn't even watch his version all the way through. Just basically the beginning and the end, though I saw when he killed his Carlotta on Youtube." Roselin shivered at the image.
"Of course I won't tell anyone, Erik. Your secret is safe with me. I may be a bit talkative," Ha! That was an understatement. "but I know when to keep my mouth shut... most of the time." She laughed a bit. But it was true, she could talk and talk and never let a secret she knew out. In fact, though she was so talkative, her friend had given Roselin many many secrets to keep and keep them she did. The only thing Roselin wouldn't do was tell a lie... which she sometimes does involuntarily.
Roselin laughed a bit when Erik said that some think that he speaks a little too much. How could that be, he was the Phantom! Or at least looked like the phantom... though if this couldn't convince her that he was the real deal, she didn't know what would! She then listened intently as Erik gave her a few clues on to what the mysterious lady friend looked like, then said he would tell her more later if everything worked out alright. She laughed and nodded when he asked if that was alright. "Yep, good enough for me!" She said giggling a bit. Somehow she had a feeling that it wasn't any Meg though as some of the Megs did look as he described. "Oh, would you tell me more about the other Eriks that you have met?" She asked with a large smile on her face as her eyes continued to sparkle with curiousness. Plus, it was one of the only things she could think of that would change the subject and yet keep the short description in her pleasant mind.

Roselin was doing it again...saying things that made no sense to Erik. "You couldn't watch Destler's version all the way through? What exactly does that mean? Is there a moving picture concerning him? I can't imagine anyone would wish to see anything about that demon..." Here Erik remembered the play from the village, the play that spread out his own life for everyone to see. It had been horrifying to see it from a third person point of view. And yet the people in the theatre had applauded and seemed to see Erik as somehow likeable. He couldn't understand it. He had been badly upset by the experience. It was almost worse than actually having lived through it not long before he had seen the play.
Then Roselin said she saw the verion on You Tube. Erik frowned and said, You Tube? What is that?" The name meant nothing and was rather cryptic in addition. "And Destler killed his Carlotta? I didn't know that...he seemed to be reliving it then...when he kidnapped the little blonde Christine...or perhaps he hadn't lived it yet in his own life..." Erik mused about that. Then he looked at Roselin. If she had seen the story of his own life, she surely would know that he too, was a murderer. Two people were mentioned in the play as having been killed by the Phantom, Joseph Buquet and Ubaldo Piangi. It was true. Erik had killed them. And they hadn't been the first of his victims. He had really felt at the time, it was necessary to kill them, for in his Phantom persona, it had seemed the perfect thing to do to bring more fear of the Phantom, in Buquet's case and of course Piangi was killed so that Erik could take his place with Christine in Erik's opera. In some ways, Erik was no better than Destler. He didn't like that thought though...he focused on Roselin again.
"Of course, Roselin, I know you would not voluntarily give up any secrets Ihad told you, but it's not the correct time to make public , or even to my friends, the identity of my special lady friend. As I said, I have not even said anything to her. It is very early in our friendship, and I do not wish to hurt my chances with her."
"The other Eriks?" asked Erik when Roselin enquired about which ones he had met."Destler, of course, I mentioned him. Érik, the one without a last name. ... very arrogant. I spoke to him about helping me with the opera house refurbishing and he insisted on being the one who made all the decisions, but did none of the work. I did not like him one bit. Then there is Lavalais. A rather genial fellow, he showed me his suite, which is amazing. He has excellent architectural skills probably second only to mine. I did like him in general. I met Carrière of course and visited his suite also. Quite a different and lovely place he has. And a very congenial fellow. Perhaps the only Erik I would actually call a good friend. Then there is the mysterious Mr Y. I have met him briefly and don't quite know what to think of him. He wears a half mask as I do, and in some ways, reminds me a bit of myself, although he is taller, wears a dark hairpiece and his eyes are both brown. But still there is something...and he said a very odd thing...that he used to be called Erik Lenoir...I am at al loss to explain him..."

Roselin nodded when Erik questioned Destler's movie. "He had some good lines that were clever but I couldn't handle the gore. And I didn't really like his Christine all that much. Exactly why, I am not all together sure. Maybe it was something about her acting or something or because it was a 80's movie so it was very... different then good movies these days." She said, shivering slightly at the thought of the movie.
Roselin then listened as Erik questions youtube and so forth. "Youtube is a site that people put videos on that anyone can view. And yes, Destler killed his Carlotta... I think he chopped off her head or something and put it in a pot at some party or something. And he kidnapped a little blonde Christine? There is only a few versions that actually have that version... does she have a middle name or a different last name?" She asked thoughtfully. She wondered if she could recognize the Christine he was talking about by the differences in name... though she probably wouldn't yet know the differences in middle names.
"Yeah, I understand. I've had crushes to guys who hardly knew me and accidentally tell someone who I thought was my friend and stuff and then.... yeah, bad things happened. But its alright, if any of them were meant to be, I would be with them already. Anyways, go on." She said, waving her hand slightly as if to try and wave off her rambling. Roselin then listened excitedly as he began talking about the other Eriks. He mentioned Destler first which made her recoil slightly but then she listened again with a wide smile. He spoke of an Erik without a last name... which would that be? She figured it could have been the Leroux book Erik or perhaps Susan Kay Erik or possibly a few others. She wasn't quite sure.
Roselin then listened him mention the Lavalais fellow again and how he was like, he too could have been the Leroux or Susan Kay Erik. Erik Lenoir then mentioned Carriere, automatically remembering that his father's name was Gerard Carriere, and nearly squealed with happiness at the mention of one of her favorite phantoms. He spoke of Carriere's home being different and lovely. And considered a good friend. Roselin smiled a mile wide, he was one of the nicest Eriks and had a very beautiful home, or at least from what she saw on the dvd. Erik then spoke of Mr Y, she wondered if he knew that it was him in the future, had he not been 'taken to this world'. Actually, she wasn't sure if he actually did mention how exactly he was here. But she for some reason was still lead to believe that he really could have been some real version of Andrew Loyd Webber's 86 Phantom. She smirked a bit again when he said that Mr Y reminded him of himself.
"I could explain him a bit." Roselin piped up happily. "Mr Y is sort of... you. Except he is you in about ten years or something. Well... he would have been, had you stayed in your story and it continue on to the end to continue to his story. And if he was taller, had both eyes brown, and wore a darker hair piece... I am pretty sure that would mean that he could be from the Australian version. Though I could still be wrong. The Australian version of Love Never Dies is the only one on dvd. Well, other than the 25th of your story.. anyways, Love Never Dies is the name to the continuation of your story." She paused to breath a bit, having been running on for a bit on one breath there, then continued again. "I can tell you quite a bit about each Erik. Well, most of them anyways. Like Destler, I wouldn't know, because I couldn't watch his movie all the way and only in parts. But then there are some like... Erik Carriere's movie that I practically know like the back of my hand." She said slightly proudly. Then with another wide smile, she asked him another question. "Is there anything you want to know about any of them? I'll try to tell the best I can."

After Roselin explained what "YouTube" meant, Erik still didn't really understand. "Perhaps someday you can show me what YouTube is. It sounds...eh...interesting." Erik wasn't really sure if it would be interesting or not. Roselin seemed to be quite negative toward the thought of Destler's "movie." Since Erik hadn't as yet seen a movie, he had no idea really what it was. She said she didn't really like Destler's Christine either. Erik frowned. "Destler had a Chrsistine also?"
"No the little blonde Christine doesn't seem to have a middle name. Niether does her Raoul for that matter. And Érik, the arrogant fellow? Perhaps that's her Phantom." Erik had gotten used to the idea that there were three people rather bound together, always a Phantom, a Christine and a Raoul. differering in various ways, but having much in common also. But still, he was surprised at the fact that Destler had a Christine. That poor woman...
Erik mentined the other Eriks and got a squeal of happiness when he mentioned Carriére, apparently a fellow she liked very much. Welll, it was true, he was quite likeable. Even Erik liked him. Then Roselin said some very cryptic things about Mr Y. "He is me in ten years? I think not. I should like to know how he has grown four inches or so and changed his eye colour. He did say he had the same name, but I put that to a strange coincidence." Roselin went on and on about something called "Love Never Dies." Again it meant nothing to Erik. Such odd things. This modern world had produced such oddities and Erik, although he knew he probably would never be able to leave the mansion in his lifetime, he was glad he didn't have to live in the modern world. It was interesting to see it and experience it for a short while. But he was always glad to get back to his lair.

Roselin nodded. "Youtube is fun... except when they block or delete people's videos, it annoys me so much when they do that." She said as if he would know. She then nodded again when Erik mentioned Destler's Christine. "Yeah. I am mean shes alright and everything but I kind of find her a bit annoying for some reason. But man, I would not want to be her with having that Erik." She laughed a bit. She would run so far to escape Destler, she would end up in Rio.
Roselin nodded again. "Well.. I suppose that means that their the original. From the book I mean. Everything good and phantomy started with that book in 1911. The first adaption of the book was the silent film in 1925. Then there were more and more movies of course and several other book adaptions... but I could go on forever talking about it." She laughed again. Roselin then listened as Erik denied that the Love Never Dies version of him was not him. "Well... the guy that played you couldn't have done Love Never Dies anyways since it started up in 2010 I think and he played as you in 1986."
"So it is you in ten years... but not exactly you... do get what I mean? Another guy plays him and from the sounds of it, the Australian version may have come here... I think his name was Ben Lewis or something of the sort. It would be sort of difficult to see him as being you in then years of course but.... that's just how the casting went. Of course none of them could really compare to the original, well you, version of your play. And the sequel isn't all that great either... especially the Meg, she and her mother some how went off their rockers. If you met one of them you would understand. Meg would probably be practically bowing down to you. Anyways, I could go on and on about Love Never Dies. Roselin laughed a bit. "It has its pros and cons, the music definitely not the same as the original. The music in the newest is more kind of punk rock and stuff. But still alright I guess. Though I would have to say 'Devil Take the Hindmost' is my favorite..." She said, looking off slightly as she thought of the song, looking sort of absent for a moment.
