After Roselin finished her ice cream, and Erik realized that he was mesmerizing her, he tried to bring her back to reality by calling her name. It took a few moments. It made him a little nervous, for it rather got out of hand. But she seemed fine in a few moments. He smiled again, relieved.
Erik took the dishes and placed them on the counter beside the sink. "Someone will take care of this for us. I'd like to show you those strange moving pictures now." Erik led the way out of the utilitarian kitchen, through the lovely dining room and out the wooden double doors again. Once in the hall, he led the way down the hall, made several turns, took a stairway down one flight and arrived at another small room, with only one wooden door. He opened it, and there were many strange moving pictures in the darkened room. He had seen them on his first day at the mansion and had wondered greatly about them. He had no idea that they were security cameras, focused on various parts of the house. He had recognized some of the rooms earlier but really hadn't known what they were.
The tv monitors were mostly quiet, showing one lonely scene after another, but on occasion, a persosn would walk by. On the outside ones, there was a camera trained on the door coming from the garden into the house. He saw someone walking there and pointed it out to Roselin. "That looks like Christine," he said excitedly, having recognized Christine Emilie entering the house. "It looks as if she just walked into the house, from the garden!"
Erik sat down on one of the rolling office chairs and pulled it close to the monitor Christine had walked into just a moment ago. But his attention was pulled to another monitor when a bit of movement caught his eye. This was the same place he had seen what he thought was a ghost on one of the monitors. He wonderred if he would see it again.
"Roselin, do you understand this?" he asked of the young girl, who seemed so technologically well versed.

Roselin nodded silently when he said that someone would take care of the dishes and that he would now show her to the 'moving pictures'. She wondered who it was that took care of the dishes. She also wondered if there was any more people in this residence and if so... who were they? Well, suppose that there had to be others here because then who possibly would be the 'someone' that will be taking care of the dishes?
Roselin couldn't help but admire the halls, stairway, and all that they walked through, even though all of them were quite dusty and dirty. Perhaps the next time she was over here... she could help clean up the place a little bit. If the people here didn't mind her wanting to clean the place up a bit. After all, it was once a quite clean and grand structure. Her father use to tell her brother stories, who would of course tell Roselin at bed time, about how beautiful the grand structure once was. Though, she also heard that although beautiful, it always had something off about it...
Roselin's eyes widened as she walked into the tech filled room. Wow... just wow.... this sort of confirmed that the last owner had been adding things to the house. Though she wondered... just how long ago did they install these? Had the last owner of the manor watched when her and Kimberly had been there? Creepy. Her attention was pulled to Erik as he pointed out to one of the screens. "Christine..? Roselin mumbled quietly. Actually, now come to think of it, it really did look like Christine! Except... looked more like the Christine from Love Never Dies... How cool! Roselin watched as Erik sat down in one of the chairs and was watching the monitors. She wondered if the real Erik was here, would he act the same way as this Erik did? Not that there was a real Erik, but if Erik was real and all.
Roselin smiled when he had asked if she understood any of it. "Well, these arn't exactly 'moving pictures'. Its security cameras..." She paused for a moment, trying to think of a better way to explain some of this. "Security cameras are basically.... well their like the movie cameras that I told you about except they only show whats happening currently, or what most call, live. They can record but these ones arn't. Or at least from what I could tell. Oh and when cameras record, it means that they can capture a certain scene that it's viewing and be able to play it over again and again as many times as you want." Roselin said with a smile. She realized that she really needed to learn how to explain things better. She could tell that the last few explanations about the electronics of the time were quite sucky and each time she was able to see that he had been still pretty confused by them. Oh well, she tried.

"You say they are called security cameras?" asked Erik after trying to understand Roselin's strange muddled explanation of what they were. He thought he understood what she was saying though. "So the cameras are trained on various parts of the house to watch and see that no one comes in without permission, perhaps? So we are seeing what the cameras see? "
Erik pointed to the recorder boxes under each monitor. Each had a red light labeled REC on the front of the box. "What are these boxes?" He noticed that the back of the boxes had many cords coming from them and going through the walls.
"Well, there is not much going on here. I can't see how any of this would do any good..." Erik arose from the chair and asked, "Roselin would you care to see the Opera House now?"
Without waiting for her, and because he was getting bored looking at the pictures on the monitors, Erik walked to the door and held it for her. He commented that he would like to see the halls scrubbed and the walls washed. "It is entirely too dirty about this place..."

Roselin nodded. She then listened as he confirmed what she was trying to say... in a much simpler form. Why was it so difficult for her to explain things? Oh well, at least he got the right idea. "Exactly so!" She said happily. She then listened to his question and looked at what he had pointed out. "Ah, so I stand corrected. They can record. They just control when and such of the recording. REC is just the abbreviation for record/recording." She said with a smile. She nodded when Erik had said that there wasn't much going on the screens. There wasn't, but it still kinda cool.
Roselin then stared at Erik for a moment and her jaw dropped slightly when he had asked if she would like to see the Opera House. There...there was an opera house here? Here?! And she was going to see it? An ACTUAL Opera House?! All she could do was nod her head vigorously in excited acceptance. He then held the door open for her and she walked through. There was a great, big, radiant, smile on Roselin's face. He then talking about wanting the walls to be washed, the place was dirty. She had to agree, it was extremely filthy. But truthfully, she didn't mind at all. She was just enjoying being in here and seeing all of the beauty of the place... even though it was certainly dirty. "Perhaps sometime, I could help clean up the place or something." She said with a smile.
Surely her father wouldn't notice, he hardly acknowledges that she is there. So why would he think anything of her absence? Plus, he is hardly at home anyways. And the only other person that she would talk to would be Kimberly and that was through text. But her family was going on a three week vacation and her parents won't let her bring her phone. So really, she would have nothing to do all day except computer and listen to her Ipod. So helping clean sounded kinda fun compared to doing nothing. Plus, even though she didn't really enjoy cleaning. At least she got to be in this place. And to be there and see the progress of it going from dirty to beautifully clean would be epic! When they got to some doors, Roselin thought that her heart was going to burst. She was so completely excited and anxious, her eyes were wide and her smile large on her face and great curiosity sparkling in her eyes. And when the doors swung open, her eyes widened further and her mouth turned into a large oval shape as her jaw had dropped to its fullest extent.

When Roselin explained that the strange looking boxes were recorders as well as players, Erik nodded. "Well, it makes sense if there is a reason to see who was at your door some time in the past. " Erik went on to another subject. "When I say that I would like to see the corridors scrubbed, I was not expecting you to do volunteer for the j0b, Roselin. I am sorry if it sounded like that." Erik sighed audibly. "No, I'm waiting for some of the men here to volunteer to clean it up. I suppose I may be waiting quite a long time. I shall probably have to ask them personally."
Roselin looked excited when Erik mentioned the Opera House. They walked down the halls until they reached it and when he opened the door she seemed to be in heaven.
"Roselin, it is not even refurbished yet. It will be much lovelier when that has been done. It will be a lot of work, but we shall be producing operas, ballets, plays and other works of art when it is finished. So far we have done a bit of cleaning. There were cobwebs all over when we started. We need to do quite a bit of carpentry work, fix the lighting, make new stage curtains, curtains for the boxes and recover the chairs next. " He paused and smiled at her. "You want to help clean here too?" Erik laughed. "You are quite the ambitious little lady, are you not?"
He changed the subject. "I understand this was built as part of the mansion. The mansion seems more of a castle. It seems though that you know more about the last owner of the place than I do. I have not even explored all of it." Then he looked her in the eye, to see what her reaction would be when he spoke his next words: "Do you sing? Would you care to sing or dance upon the stage? For a lark?" He thought the girl would enjoy making believe. Also, he might have need of a child in one of his productions, and he wondered if she had any talent that he could use. Certainly she was outgoing...
"But I must also ask you, when are you expected back home? Do your parents allow you out alone like this all the time or are you eluding them for some reason?" Erik didn't want the little girl's parents to come here and accuse him or another of the mansion residents of abducting their daughter.

Roselin listened to Erik speak. She was still slightly mesmerized by him... and not because of earlier when he had accidentally hypnotized her. It was just because.... he was so much like how Erik would be in real life. Well... the Erik from the Andrew Loyd Webber stage version. Roseline rose an eyebrow when he spoke about the walls being cleaned up. It actually didn't sound like that at all, she was just trying to be nice. She shrugged. "No need to apologize, it didn't sound like that at all. I actually enjoy helping people out so my offer still stands for whenever." She said smiling.
When Roselin stepped into the auditorium and was so very much tempted to swirl around and spin and spin. She was filled with glee and excitement. Erik went on to speak about the Opera House, needing to fix it and such. Oh but even in such a disaster, she thought it was just marvelous! She had never been in an Opera House and though it was in great need of repair, she thought it one of the most beautiful things she had seen in her life. And it went way to the top of her list, along with the places that she might never witness in real life. Roselin looked at Erik and smiled widely when he spoke about cleaning here too and commenting on her being ambitious. A slight blush bloomed over her face and really, she would never ever mind helping clean this place! It was wonderful!
Roselin listened to Erik. She quite agreed with him that it was more like a castle. And though dusty and a tad bit gloomy, it was magical and amazing! Truth be told, she felt a bit like she was in Beauty and the Beast, his castle was dark and gloomy. And yet it too was magical and wondrous! Though of course, this place had a different kind of magical feel to it, but magical nevertheless. Erik's next words nearly knocked the breath out of Roselin as she looked at him. Do you sing? He continued to ask if she would dance or sing for him. For one of the rarest times in her life, she had no idea what to say. Words would not come to her mouth and yet they overwhelmed her mind. Could she? Would she? Butterflies flew to her stomach and a heavier blush came over her face. She wasn't exactly stage frightened just.... expecting such a question, especially since not to long ago when she had sang, she was told that she would do well in the roll of Carlotta.
He then asked when she was expected back home.... and if her parents allow her to be out all the time. The butterflies were gone in a second and the blush on her face diminished quickly. Roselin's eyes shot down to the ground for a moment. What could she say? A slightly weak and sad smile was put on her face as she looked at Erik. "I am not expected any time. Its only my dad and I now.... but he... he well..." She paused and swallowed hard. She scolded herself in her mind for being so weak, really, this was how it had been for years, it shouldn't be rubbing any old wounds that had long ago turned into small scars. "By dad doesn't pay much attention to me anymore...." She took in a deep breath and a bit of raw emotions flooded to her mouth, luckily, no tears came along with it. "I am a complete ghost to my dad! He never even mutters a hello to me anymore. He should know that he's not the only one that lost my mom and brother! Hes depressed, I understand but that doesn't mean he should forget that I even exist! He wouldn't even care if I didn't go to school anymore..."
Roselin breathed heavily for a moment. Actually.... she felt much better. Yes, she had written things like that all the time in her journal... but she had never expressed it out loud. She usually only spoke kindly about her father but this time... for some odd reason, she couldn't completely do it. She had let it out. Roselin sighed and looked sheepishly at Erik. "Heh... sorry. I am not usually so... explosive when I talk about my dad. But yeah.... he wouldn't mind at all if I was here. I was gone for a week at a friend's house before and he never noticed..." Roselin shook her head slightly. She stood up more strait and put on a happy smile on once again; it was authentic, she just put her mind on something much more happy. "By the way... I wouldn't mind at all singing or dancing. Except I must ask for your forgiveness in advance, I sing but not all that well, I never was able to take proper lessons and I took ballet when I was younger but I haven't really danced since then. I really do love to sing though...." She said smiling and looking at him. She slowly turned looking at the stage, she looked at it slightly dreamily. A stage... a true Opera house stage.... oh what a dream that was. Dreams can be real...

Erik was not used to children. This one was not really a child per se, she was a young teen, but still, Erik had not been exposed to other children as a child and rather didn't like them, assuming they would all be afraid of him or laugh at him, but this girl was different. From the moment she spoke to him, he liked her. She was bouncy and happy and even though he didn't understand a lot of what she referred to, he could probably learn some things about this strange modern world from her.
Then she spoke sadly and with emotion about her father. Her father didn't even care about her, and didn't notice if she were gone. He immediately felt a kinship with her, not haviing father and having a mother who disdained him. "Roseliin, I understand about your father, really I do. I had no father and my mother ...well, suffice to say, it was not the best of relationships..." Erik looked sad after saying that, and walked slowly down the aisle to the front row of audience seats. He beckoned to Roselin ot follow him. He sat down in the front row, first checking the seat to make sure it was not dirty, for no one had refurbished the seat yet.
Erik beckoned the girl to come near, and he took her hands in his cold ones. "Forgive my cold hands, dear,it is my natural state." He paused. "If your father doesn't care that you are not at home, then I shall find you a suitable place to stay in the mansion if you would care to be here, and for as long as you want. And of course you will be free to go home anytime you wish." Then he smiled. "Now...I want to see you perform...sing, dance, recite something for me, comedy, whatever you wish. I just want to see it. Now go, up on stage with you!"

Roselin listened to Erik as he spoke that he understood about her father. She suddenly felt sad for him... she realized that she did kind of have the same past as Erik.... though of course she wasn't disfigured or anything. Just bad things happened. She fallowed him down the aisle of front row seats. Oh she shouldn't have blabbered on like that, she always had to keep reminding herself that there was always someone out there who had it worse than herself. And indeed there was, Erik was just a small piece of proof of that. Roselin looked at Erik as he took her hands in his and shook her head slightly when he had apologized. They didn't bother her at all. She was also in complete attention to Erik because when she was younger, whenever her mother took her hand in hers, it meant that she was going to speak to Roselin about something important and that she needed to listen. And so she did, she listened as Erik began to talk... and then something caught her off guard slightly. Actually... a lot off guard. He was offering her a place to stay... and not just any place but here! Oh she liked that... she liked that very much. It was like a dream come true! Her eyes had widened but the larges and brightest smile she ever had was put on her face. Roselin giggled as he sent her away, and up the stage she went. The stage seemed so much larger now that she was standing on it. She held her breath for a moment as she looked out into the magnificent auditorium. Her heart began to thud wildly and butterflies swarmed her stomach once more. She breath out and stood at the front of the stage, smiling like mad. She then remembered a lullaby her mother sang to her when she was little and she had a strong feeling inside her to sing it. But before she would start... "I-I guess I am going to sing a lullaby... my mother sang it to me when I was little." She paused for a moment, smiling and looked at Erik. "And thank you... I would love to live here..." She said then closed her eyes for a moment to calm herself then reopened her eyes, looking out at the view in front of her. "Hush a bye... don't you cry Go to sleep... my little baby And as you sleep We will keep All the pretty little horses...
Blacks and bays Dapples and grays strong as all of natures forces
See them run In the sun All the pretty little horses...
Hush a bye... don't you cry Go to sleep... my little baby And as you sleep We will keep All the pretty little horses..." Her voice was loud as it should be, she kept her back strait and her arms to her side. And yet, her voice was soothing and gentle as it needed to be for the lullaby. She even kept in tune and breathed correctly. Truthfully, that time she sang... was probably the best singing she had ever done in her life. After she had sang the song, she suddenly felt like her mother was some how near. Actually, she had no doubt that her mother was near. The butterflies had flown away and her heart beat was steady but thudded loudly. She felt like she had sang out something... something that she didn't even know was in her. She wasn't even sure how she did it. And she thought she had sang her best when she had tried out for the Phantom of the Opera play! No... that was nothing compared to what she had just sang moments ago. Sure, it still wasn't too amazing since she was untrained and didn't have all that great of a voice... it still some how came out beautifully. She smiled and looked at Erik in the front row.

Erik sat in silence for a few long moments after she was finished. He was rather amazed at how well the girl could sing. He beckoned her with his fingers to come off the stage and sit next to him. When she did, he said, "Roselin, I'm proud of you. I think perhaps it took a bit of courage for you to sing for me. And it was well worth it. I expect that I will be needing someone your age in some of our productions when we open the opera house. " He paused again and looked at her seriously.
"I like your voice. You have great potential and not a bad stage presence. You will need some voice lessons and to be coached in acting. But you have the potential. And so I am proposing something...if you are going to be staying here at the mansion, I would like ot give you daily music and acting lessons. If you decide to go home, I would hope you would come back every day for lessons. That is of course, if you want that. I have learned," and here a smile played a bit at the visible end of Erik's thick red lips, "I have learned that it is better to let a person decide for themselves if they wish to sing, rather than deciding for them. So, what do you say? Or is it a bit much for you?"

Roselin came down from the stage and did sit next to him when he had beckoned her. Her heart was thudding like a race horse, a smile wide on her face. And yet oh she was still so afraid of judgement! Oh Roselin! Calm down! She scolded herself and then listened to what he had to say. When he heard her say that he was proud of her, she thought her heart was about to burst!
And as he continued to speak, her heart beat fast and faster, she was surprised she hadn't fainted by now or exploded into rainbows and glitter from the overload of happiness she felt in her heart! She listened to him as he said that he liked her voice. She felt very proud... especially to the people at her school who thought that she would do good as Carlotta! Goes to show what they knew! She listened very happily as Erik said that she had great potential and she would need some voice lessons ant coached in acting. And his next words nearly did knock her out cold from over flow of happiness.
He wanted to teach her! Her! Roselin! Be taught! She felt like all of her dreams had come true within the next few seconds. Her jaw had dropped without her consent, but then it just turned into the largest smile she had ever had on in her life. She couldn't remember ever feeling this... this happy! She wasn't even sure if her future wedding was going to make her feel this happy! And if it was, it would only be able to be at this level of happiness. Roselin wanted to jump up and down or run around, she suddenly had such a new burst of happy energy that she had no idea what to do with. But when he had asked her if she wanted to... or if it was a bit much for her, her mouth new just exactly what to do with this new burst of super energy that Erik had given her. She smiled and took in a deep breath, and it was as if the world paused for a moment.
"I WOULD LOVE TO!!! Oh my gosh! You have no idea how happy that it would make me! And thank you so much.. SO MUCH for your compliments on my voice! I have never heard such lovely comments before in my life! Except for my mother of course but that's kind of different, I mean, its compliments coming from you! I would love to have lessons! Everyday would be so awesome! And of course I would love to stay here, it would be ten times better then just sitting around at my dad's house! All I would have to do is get my clothes from home and a few other things and I could move in! Oh it would not be over exaggerating to say that this may very well be one of the happiest days of my life! Thank you.. Thank you so much for all of this!!! I am so excited I am not even sure I can put it in words!" Roselin said happily, it was slightly difficult to hear what she was saying she was saying it so fast but at least he would hear most of what she was saying. She just couldn't help it, she truly was so extremely excited!

Roselin was very happy and she almost exploded with happiness. Erik simply sat back a bit in his seat and watched her dancing about the place. She was rather delightful and funny to watch. Erik hadn't experienced anyone this happy or joyful or elated before. And especially from something he had said.
Erik almost had to laugh out loud at her antics, she was so funny. Finally she calmed down and came over to him. "Are you calm now? May I continue?" He took her hands in his again. "I assume all of that was a yes...Am I correct?"
"And I think I will change every day to five times a week, with the weekends off. I am sure you will be able to practice by yoursself on those days. Or rest your voice. And your teacher will need a rest too."
He stood up. "Come Roselin. Let's take a look at the dormitories. Perhaps there won't be a need for you to go back home to pack anything. If your father should ask you to stay home, there would be no way to transmit a message to me. We shall have to think of a way when you leave here to tell me if you are coming for lessons or not. But never fear, that day is in the future."
Erik led the girl out of the opera house and down several halls, then up a windng marble staircase, and down several more halls. He stopped at the women's dormitories, and opened the main door. "Now there will be several rooms here, I am sure with no names on them, and you will be welcome to stay in any one of them."
Erik went down the hall inside of the main door and looked at all the names on the doors. He passed several Chrsitines, Maria Gianelli, Erika, several Megs, Carlotta...Carlotta? Erik stopped in front of the door. He hoped it wasn't the Carlotta he knew...and just then he heard a horrible screaching voice, supposedly singing, and he rolled his eyes. It was her, all right! He hurried on to look for an empty suite. Then he stopped again suddenly and frowned. He looked at Roselin. "Your name is Roselin Soulle? Middle initial A.? Well it looks as if they have prepared a suite for you too." He silently wondered how anyone had known she was going to stay...no one knew except Roselin and himself and she hadn't been anywhere to say anything.
Erik opened the door. They were not locked unless from the inside. "Go in, dear," said the masked man. He stood in the doorway. "Roselin, look in the closet and tell me if those clothes look at all familiar..."

Roselin nodded slightly when he had asked her if she had calmed down and could continue. She couldn't help it, she was just so excited! She listened to him as he said that he was going to change the work days to five times a week. Roselin didn't mind that at all, after all, she knew that people could only last so long with her attitude. A rest form her would be good. She continued to smile happily and he continued on.
Roselin nodded to what Erik said and let him lead her to the dormitories. Though she knew for a fact that her father wouldn't be asking her to come back home, if anything, he might just sell her computer to some friend, or possibly the whole house all together and move in with a friend's house. He probably wouldn't spare a single thought for her. But it didn't matter anymore, he would never care for her again, she was going to be a resident of the manor now. And the most wonderful thing had happened! She had been offered to have lessons! What a dream come true!
Roselin still couldn't help but be amazed by all that they passed. The winding marble staircase (she had never been on a winding staircase before) and the beautiful but incredibly dusty and dirty halls. They then came to a hall that had a bunch of doors... all had names on them. There were names like Christine, Meg, Carlotta... how was that possible? Sure there were people named Christine and Meg... Carlotta too she was sure... but so many all in one place? Very strange indeed... she'll have to ask about it later. When they had made the second stop, Roselin was slightly confused why they had stopped at a door that had a name on it... until she realized that it was her own! Roselin's jaw dropped slightly.. how could the own have known she was coming? She grinned widely, a mystery to be solved indeed!
Roselin stared at the room as Erik opened it... it looked like her room! Shaggy, bright, yellow carpet and light blue walls and all! She slowly walked in and spun around a little, how weird! How terrifically strange! And she was loving every moment of it! Erik then told her to go to her closet and see if the clothes were familiar. She nodded and did as she was told and opened it up. Her jaw dropped and she gasped slightly. All her clothes were here! There was even the shirt and pants and everything in there that she was wearing right now! How could that be? She turned and stared at Erik, amazed, but smiling still. "I have no idea how but its all here... all of it! Its like magic!" She said smiling. Yes, it was a very kid response but that really was one of the only explanations there was... except for the logical one which is the owner of the manor sneaked to her house and bedroom and surveyed everything and made an exact replica of it all. Roselin looked up at the ceiling and smiled. "Even the glow in the dark stars are there..."

Erik smiled at Roselin's excitement. She seemed overjoyed at his offer of music lessons. She was just bursting with happiness and smiling from ear to ear. It made Erik happy just to be near her. This was a welcome break from the normal melancholia and sadness that usually pervaded his days.
Continuing on to the dormitories, Erik was very surprised to find a suite of rooms with Roselin's name on it. This was unexpected and in Erik's mind it meant that probably she was meant to stay here for good. He hadn't meant for that to happen...but he would keep an eye out for her if she were to stay here.
Roselin walked through the door when Erik opened it and he followed her. The room indeed looked exactly like a room that belonged to this energetic and happy little girl would look. Bright colours were everywhere. And Roselin had a pleasant shock when she looked in the closet. "I am not surprised, Roselin. My home is exact in every aspect also. ...to my original one. Every candle, every suit that I own, every artifact in my home...replicated in perfection. Amazing."
The she opened the closet and all of her odd and colourful clothing were to be seen. She looked astounded. Erik only smiled. He suspected that if the ghosts wanted her to stay, they would have spared no trouble to make her feel at home.

Roselin looked at Erik when he spoke about his... home? She smiled. "Its crazy, I don't know how it could have at all been accomplished. Even my laptop is here... and my Ipod cord... I wonder if there is any internet here." She laughed. It was ment to be a joke but slightly, she really did want to know since internet was a large part of her life. Well... if she wasn't at school or eating she was on the computer. WELL.... that was until today...
She then paused and thought for a moment. "You know... I didn't see any of the doors have your name on it...." Her eyes then widened slightly and a wide smile spread on her face. "Your.. Your home is here? In exact detail?!?!?!?!" She gasped slightly and was nearly jumping up and down. She was going to live in a place that had the exact replica of Erik's lair?! How was that even possible? Oh wait... she knew right off the bat... respectively from looking at this place that had her room that she didn't need to wonder how something here was possible.
And after all, she did live by the words 'Anything is possible'. "Your domain is here... I can't believe it! Do... do you think I could see it?" She asked, suddenly quite curious as to how it looked. Oh wouldn't it be amazing to actually sit on the gondola that Christine and Erik used? Oh what a Phangirl's dream!! "Oh! And where would you be teaching me?" Roselin asked curiously with a wide smile on her face. She then thought for another moment and smiled and looked at her computer. "Hey.. if you would like... at some point, I could show you the internet... if there is internet here." She smiled and then pulled out her Ipod and set it down next to the laptop. "Oh and maybe show you some of the music on my Ipod to." She said smiling and turned back looking at Erik.

Erik frowned. "What's a laptop or an internet? You showed me the Ipod...a strange name for an even stranger device..."
He waited until she finished talking about the doors with the names on them. "The Eriks are a different story. We are perhaps the luckiest residents of the manor, at least in some ways. We have much larger quarters than anyone else and they are located in a different place. I have seen two of the others. Quite extraordinary." Erik looked at Roselin inquiringly. "I suppose I don't have to ask if you'd like to see my home." Erik never called it a lair because it reminded him of some underground animal that came above ground to attack and kill. Erik liked to be thought of as the fearsome Opera Ghost. But that was different... and most likely in the past.
"And yes, it's here...in exact detail," smiled Erik as Roselin became excited again. "And yes, I shall be happy to show you my home...that is, if you show me this internet and laptop devices you have been speaking about." "So shall we?" Erik held the door open for her and then led the way to the corridor which held the elevators leading to the lairs. He pushed the lighted button and the metal pocket doors opened to expose a little room. Erik entered and nodded for Roselin to follow him.
