"Coney Island, from the way you've described it Edouard seems fascinating in its own way" she said nodding her head a little. Christine smiled a little and said nothing more and she listened to his spin off again. "Phantasma?" she asked again perking up at that word for a moment. The blonde looked at him with wide eyes and said nothing for a moment. "Ah, How interesting" she said softly to him and looked at the ground then around her surroundings and then back at him.
A small smile appeared upon her face as she listened to him speak about the Other Christine and his son. "I hope to meet them someday" she said smiling. "They seem like amazing people." she told him softly. Christien looked at him and listened to his words. Then she sighed and looked down at the ground. "Strange to be honest. I wish I knew what our purpose was to be brought to such a place" she said suddenly as she looked up at the ceiling and then back at him. "Its really beautiful here though. I must give it credit for that" she told him.
Rising she nodded her head and headed out of the library. "Alright. I look forward upon what this place has to offer" she said giving a slight giggle and waiting for him in the hallway.

"Coney Island, as I said. It's an amusement park for the ignorant, in my opinion. People long to be constantly amused. And this Phantasma, well, perhaps it's a bit better than that, after all, my wife was asked to sing there, so at least there is some good music there. However, I was terribly against going there. It is completely below our station in life. But Christine wished to sing again, so I gave in." He didn't mention that the bigger factor in his decision was the fact that they were nearly bankrupt and he needed the money badly. And the fact that they were bankrupt was largely his own fault.
"I am sure you will meet my wife and son soon. We are all one big happy family. Well, with some exceptions. There are a few people here who don't attempt to get along with the rest of us at all." He looked at the girl's brown eyes when she seemed sad because she had no idea why they were brought here. "I'm sorry that I cannot enlighten you about that, Giselle. I wish that I could. But for now, we must be contant to be here if at all possible. It is most likely that you will meet some people here that you have known from your past and then it will not be so lonely for you. And I would like very much to call you my friend. I will do whatever I can for you, Giselle." Edouard looked very sincere. He was missing her other iteration who had seemed to fly to his arms almost immediately when they had met. This girl was a bit more shy. But, he reminded himself, things take time. Then he chided himself. Really, he should not be looking to have a girlfriend. After all he was married. Not necesssarily happily. Although things were getting better he thought. If only Lenoir stayed away from Emilie.
But he pullled his thoughts back to Giselle. She had risen and walked out to the hallway where she waited for Edouard. He followed her out. "Where would you like to go, Giselle? There are many places to explore in the mansion."

While Edouard spoke about Coney Island and his purpose to be there Christine only smiled and listened intently to what he was saying. "It would seem my name is very popular isn't it.." she said giving a slight laugh. "Coney sounds like an interesting place filled with mystery" she said a moment later.
As she sat there she listened to Edouard speak about his wife and son. "They sound like they are amazing people Edouard" she said softly as she looked at him and brushed back a stray hair that dangled in her face and she said nothing else for a while. When he apologized she looked at him and frowned a little. "Don't apologize Edouard you did nothing wrong. Its perfectly fine trust me on this. I'm fine without knowing the whole truth" she said smiling gently. Placing her hand upon his own and looked at her. Then rose and waited for him to join her. "Of course, I would love to call you my friend as well. For I don't have much here in the manor yet" she told him gently.
She looked over at him as he joined her and smiled. "I have no particular place in the manor that I would like to see. We can wing this if you like. I'm not picky" she said smiling at him as she listened. "I'm fine with anywhere you like to lead" she said in a soft voice.

" The kitchen and dining room...definitely places with which you must acquaint yourself. It's a bit of a walk from here." Edouard led the way down the various long halls and up the marble staircase and down several more halls." I hope you can remember the way, Giselle. After a bit, it will be easy."
Edouard opened one of the two large, heavy carved wooden doors that led into the beautiful dining room. He lit several of the gas lights near the entrance, then remembered the electrified chandelier and pushed one of the two little buttons on the light switch which made the other one pop out and amazingly, the chandelier lit itself, brightly. The room was beautiful and all done in shades of green. A long wooden dining table covered with a lovely lace table cloth was the centrepiece of the room. Pink roses were in a green glass vase sat on the table. In the far corner sat a piano and a long case clock. A green marble fireplace,. a spectacularly beautiful piece, had two green oversuffed chairs with antimacassars in front of it. The oriental throw carpet, a quite large affair with fringe, had shades of green and pink that matched the striped wall paper. It was a beautiful room, and one that always soothed Edouard, expecially if his feelings were a bit raw.
There was a door in the far wall that led to the kitchen and its array of odd futuristic machines. Edouard had learned how to use some of them, and although he felt it beneath his station to prepare his own food, there were times when he had to do so or starve. And there was a freedom a bout being able to do things for ones self.
"Would you like anything to eat or drink? Come out to the kitchen and I will show you where everything is." He held the door open for Giselle, then pointed to a large metal box with a door. "The modern version of the ice box." He pointed to the stove. "It's run by gas." There was a small white machine with a glass carafe. "That's to make coffee or hot water for tea." There was an elongated wooden cabinet in the middle of the floor with a basket of fresh fruit on it. And a small wooden table with fresh flowers and a table cloth sat near the door, with three chairs. "Please have a seat. Or we could dine in the dining room if you wish. It's a bit chilly, so I think a fire is in order."

While in the hallway of the manor Christine looked over at Edouard as she listened to him talk about the different places within the manor. "It sounds like you've been here a long time Edouard. Considering the fact I only came a few days ago. I long to see and wander around and see what I can find." she told him in a soft voice. Christine continued to walk with him within the hallways.
Everything was very beautiful within the manor. All the dark markings on the walls and the paintings. There was nothing she couldn't express how she felt about this place. Christine loved it already however she wished to be back in her own time sometime soon. Christine longed to be at the Opera again and working there, but this place would do. She would get used to it sooner or later.
Silence was with Christine as they walked. Her eyes took everything in that she saw. The colors and the designs of it all. It was truly a remarkable place. Hearing Edouard speak she looked over at him and smiled a little. When he offered her anything to drink she brought her hand to her stomach and she shook her head.
"Oh, No Edouard, I'm fine thank you for asking though." she said to him as she studied him a bit more. Entering the kitchen with him she looked around and she listened to his words again. "Strange objects. I never saw them before" she said as she made a face and she tilted her head a little. Sitting down at the table she smiled and she looked at him. "You're very kind Monsieur Edouard. " she said still staring at him. Then she let out a small laugh. "Yes, it is quite chilly..." she said still laughing softly. Then she calmed. "Maybe that would be best a fire would be good" she said nodding her head to him a moment later.

"You don't wish anything to drink? There are many things here...some in strange little tin cans inside the ice box. There is fruit juice and milk and coffee or tea to make. And there is an alcohol cabinet against the wall. And the simplest of all, water, with ice and a slice of lemon. Are you sure you don't care for anything, Giselle?"
He decided to pour himself a glass of wine and he procured a wine glass and a dark red wine. He decided she certainly couldn't turn down a glass of clear water with a lemon slice so he poured some which had been prepared by someone else and put back in the ice box to keep cold.
He brought out the glasses and set them on the dining room table, then went to build a fire in the fireplace. He opened the damper and put some kindling on top of the logs that were already there. He lit them with a match and the kindling took fire with the updraft through the chimney. Edouard made sure the screen was closed so no burning embers could escape and soon the fire was crackling and the room became warm.
Edouard sat down next to Giselle and began to sip his wine. "How long have I been here? Since March, I believe. A lot has happened since then. And I would be delighted to show you about thte mansion. There are more rooms everyday that I haven't seen. One would almost think the mansion is growing rooms like an organism grows cells." He laughed. It sounded absurd but it wasn't.

Sitting down on the stool next to him she shook her head. "No not at the moment, Edouard, Merci though" she said in a small tiny voice. The smile came back upon her face and she brushed away a stray of blonde hair that dangled in her face. Christine smiled still and said nothing. Giving a small laugh and looking down. Blushing slightly.
Her eyes came back up to him and she watched him pour the wine and she looked around to look around her surroundings. Turning back to Edouard as he spoke to her she smiled a bit. "Wow. Seems you've ben here along time then" she said in a small voice. Then she turned her eyes towards the dancing flames and smiled a bit more.
Christine looked down and then looked back up at him again. "The mansion is truly beautiful if I may say so my self. Considering the fact it looks like it's been kept in time. Nothing here needs to be changed. Or so it seems from far away" she said in a small voice looking around her surroundings. "Everything is so well preserved." she told him.

"There's quite a selection if you become thirsty." Edouard said it quietly and smiled. She was so different though before she had changed her name. He quite didn't know what to think of that fact.
"Yes, It's been a while. And it raises a few questions. First of all why was I brought here? At first when Christine and Gustave seemed to be left behind, I was quite upset. However, since they have arrived, our family is complete and I feel good about that. However, that Lenoir seems bend on breaking it up, as he tried to break up Christine and me ten years ago. Or perhaps it's more than that. In any case, you would do well to stay away from such as that fellow. He romances nearly every woman at the mansion, yet he is ugly as sin. It's amazing that a woman would even give him a second look, let alone...kiss him." Edouard, at this thought, has a grimace of distaste on his face.
"It certainly is a lovely house. However, when I came here it was dilapidated, dusty and completely filthy. You could barely see through the windows. The opera house was in deplorable condition." Then he frowned. "Lenoir has started to refurbish the opera house. He has an obsession with it. He has had some work done, but it's not finished. He has mentioned producing opera and classical works from the stage once it it finished. I don't know. I fear it's just a ploy for him to have Christine fly back into his arms." He looked at her. "Yes it's true. He wants her affections back. As if he didn't have enough other women hanging on his arm. Hmmmph. It's disgusting."
"There are many other places that have been cleaned since I came here. I am sure I don't know who has been doing that, probably some of the women. There's a former maid here and a butler. I expect it may be one of them and probably others. As for myself, I like to leave the manual labour to someone else."

Christine looked over at him and smiled a little. "Thank you Edouard for that information. I will look into it if I do" she said giving a light laugh. Looking down she went silent and cleared her throat. It would be time sooner or later when she would become thirsty and she would venture around and find what she wanted. Turning her direction away from him she let her eyes scann the kitchen and everything around them.
When he spoke again she turned her attention back to him. She listened to what Edouard had to say and she propped her arm up and rested her head upon the palm of her hand. She loved his company and she loved to hear what he had to say. Christine listened intently to his tale. "That's wonderful, a family should always stick together. Even if they have the toughest of times" she reminded him. "Your family sounds wonderful Edouard" she told him. "He still sounds like an interesting man though. Full of mystery and brilliance" she said in a soft voice.
A light laugh escaped Christine when he spoke. "I'm amazed that everything is still intact." she said softly. The young singer looked around again then back at him. "Lenoir still sounds wonderful, I would love to speak with him. But if you tell me not to go near him. I will not" she said nodding her head. Christine smiled. Christine listened to his words again and she frowned a bit. Keeping eye contact with him. "Surely he just wants a friend... or something. Company is always nice to have around. Even if it is just with women or ladies." she said nodding her head. Christine then hopped off the stool and went to go get some water and came back to him.
"I would love to explore more places with you Edouard. It feels like I know you already. After having only met you, and everything. I think I would like to speak with you more and wonder around this place with you" she said placing a gentle hand upon his shoulder. A giggle escaped her. "I would too. I would probably not like what I see if i make something like this place" she said giggling and taking a small sip of her water.

"Yes, I am quite proud of my family. My son is very intelligent and quite a musical prodigy. Of course that he inherited from his mother. The musical ability, that is. The intelligence, that's from me. "
"Wonderful? Lenoir? The two words don't go together..." Edouard laughed. "I expect I should warn you. In addition to romancing all the women, including my wife..." Here Edouard looked most unhappy, "Lenoir is a known killer. He tried to kill me twice and has killed at least two other people, and who knows how many more. He is formidable with the sword and dagger and the lethal Punjab lasso. He is a magician too, and he deems himself a great many other things. His voice seems to seduce women, strangely enough. So I would advise you to keep away from him. He is insane. And please don't think me evil for telling you these things about him. I only wish to keep you from harm."
"By the way, is it possible that you have a sister or cousin who looks exactly like you? I cannot get over the fact that there is someone with your exact features that I used to know."
"If you would like to take a walk outside, the autumn is lovely.October hasn't come yet, and September is not over. The leaves haven't turned, but the autumn flowers are in full bloom. The garden is lovely. My wife has been tending the roses. Some of them are still left. And I expect some of the other women have been working there too. Would you care for a walk?"

Quirking a brow she eyed Edouard for a moment. Even if Christine hadn't met Lenoir yet she was eager to find more information upon the man. He seemed very mysterious and she wanted to meet him. Edouard sounded protective and yet very reassuring that she shouldn't meet him. For he may be dangerous. "Ah, I see. Don't worry Edouard, Im' not looking for love and I'll warn him about it if I ever do come face to face with him here within the manor" she said to him nodding her head.
"He seems intriguing but dangerous from how you discrib it" she told him suddenly. Christine frowned hearing upon the murders. "Why does he kill people if you don't mind on me asking?" she asked curiously looking upon him worriedly. Hearing him speak she blinked and she looked at him confused. "I do not have any siblings unfortunately. Nor do I have any cousins. Why do you ask?" she questioned. Christine then blinked in confusion again. "That is odd. and yet very strange" she said in a lighter tone.
Taking a sip of her water she looked at him and she heard his words about leaving the manor to go take a walk. "Oh that sounds like a wonderful idea Edouard." she said smiling. "I would love to. Just let me finish this and I'd be ready" she told him. Once the glass was emptied she placed it in the sink and she walked over to him. "Ready when you are Edouard" she told him.

"You must be very careful around Lenoir though. He has a way of ...making women adore him. Why, I couldn't imagine. There is nothing about him the least bit attractive other than the fact that he dresses well. And then there's his voice. Well, if you wish to step into the viper's den, don't say I didn't warn you. But I would hate to see your hurt."
Then Edouard wondered. The earlier Christine who looked like this one had related to him that her Erik was Carrière. He speculated as to whether she had the same background. "So is there anyone teaching you music, Christine?"
Then he wondered why she would still want to meet a killer like Lenoir. "Why he h as killed anyone, I can only speculate. One at the Opera House was because the man knew too much. The other was simply for convenience. He needed a cover to be able to play the part himself in his opera with Christine, then my future wife. He killed the man playing the part and took his place in the opera. Luckily Christine found him out and unmasked him in front of the whole audience. He whisked her away to his lair and then when I arrived he nearly killed me too. Later at the manor, I caught him kissing my wife and he tried to kill me again. I would not trust the man."
"I don't believe you would be in any danger of being killed, unless you would cross him. But he is dangerously seductive. You don't want to be under his power."
"But let's go out in the garden to enjoy the last bits of autumn before the harsh winter comes." He led the way to the outside door which led into the garden. It was a warm fall day and a gentle breeze was blowing. "Perhaps you'd like to see my favourite part of the garden." He led her toward the gazebo.
"He seems intriguing but dangerous from how you discrib it" she told him suddenly. Christine frowned hearing upon the murders. Christine sat there and she listened to his words about Lenoir. "Monsieur Edouard" she said smiling placing a gentle hand upon his hand and smiled at him. "Don't worry I will be fine. In all honesty" she said in a gentle voice. "I can protect myself if he does try to hurt me" she said giving a small laugh.
When the question was asked if anyone was teaching her music she smiled and nodded her head. "Yes, there is a person who teaches me music. Well not really music, he just teaches me how to sing. His name is Erik Carrier" she told him. "Have you met him?" she asked curiously as she took a sip of her drink.
Upon hearing more things about this Lenoir fellow, Christine got more and more curious upon who he was and she was wanting to meet him. "He tried to kill you?!" she asked in a shocked voice. Christine said nothing else and she looked down at the ground. Taking second thoughts upon meeting this Lenoir fellow.
Rising from the chair she smiled a bit and she followed him. "Of course lets do this. I don't think I would be able to handle the winter feelings" she said softly. "Oh its a lovely day isn't it.." she once outside and she closed her eyes a bit feeling the gentle breeze come over her. Then she felt him leading her towards a gazebo. "Its a lovely day in a lovely place" she said looking back at the Manor then back at him. "I would love to see your favorite place Edouard" she said patting his had a bit with her own.

Edouard was beginning to feel more comfortable with Giselle. She was very sweet and kind. He liked her personality. He wasn't looking for romance, but just a friend, someone to confide in. He was married after all. Married people having friends of the opposite sex was rather frowned upon, especially when done openly. He must try to be a bit discreet for both their sakes.
"Yes, I have met Monsieur Carrière. He seems a good sort, rather unlike most of the other Eriks I have met here. Of course no one is as despicable as Lenoir, well...there are two people who actually are worse than Lenoir. One is Erik Destler. He tried to kill one of the Christines last year. Oddly, Lenoir and I were recruited by her fiancé, another Raoul de Chagny to help him save her. I suppose I must admit Lenoir was a very good fighter and he seemed to care about helping the girl. He and I worked together rather well and I changed my mind a bit about him at that time. But since then, he has become his old despicable self again."
They walked outside and Edouard reveled in the warm autumn day. The colours were lovely and some of the fallen leaves made crunching sounds underfoot. "The gazebo is there, ahead of us and to the right." Edouard pointed toward the pretty little white wooden structure. It was surrounded by lovely autumn flowers. The path to the gazebo was lined also with flowers. "My wife is the one who does this beautiful gardening," Edouard said, a bit proudly. "She is very good at it. "

Whilst they were on the grounds of the manor she closed her eyes and felt the warm breeze. It was somewhat chilly but Christine could care less. Her eyes closed and she felt the warmth of the sun upon her face and she turned over to open her eyes at Edourad as he spoke about Carriere, her Angel of music.
Hearing his words she smiled a bit and chuckled lightly. "He's one of the interesting ones I know fairly well Monsieur, He's been with me since the day I encountered him and he's a wonderful voice teacher." she informed him. Christine looked around and she looked over at him again. "There are so many Eriks, Christines, Megs, and Raoul's" she said shaking her head. "There are going to be times where I will find my self in a haze of confusion" she said sighing. "With all these look alikes lurking about" she told him as they walked.
"Well your wife has a beautiful gift of planting the flowers then.." she said smiling looking over at the flowers. "Its a beautiful location upon where the manor lies" she told him in a small voice. Christine sighed and she studied the trees and she smiled a bit. "The colors are beautiful are they not?" she said softly still eyeing the trees and the colors on the leaves. "Mother nature sure does know how to make the fall season truly remarkable" she told him.
