Both swordsmanship and bow and arrow had been taught and learned, and Will had been found to be quite talented at both. However he had never liked swords; they were heavy and relied too much on anger than actual talent, in his opinion. Of course, he was absolutely fascinated, watching many of the knights fighting and showing off their talents, but when it came to sword fighting personally? He wasn't a fan.
He didn't like killing. He detested violence and death disturbed him. His own death disturbed him now, but his own depressing existence had been given so much time for contemplation he could effectively ignore it by now.
But with bow and arrow, you could shoot things and not kill them. It was unlike sword fighting; shooting an arrow into a tree was satisfying, while hitting it with a sword was decidedly not. So Will enjoyed bow and arrow much more.
On days he was solid, sometimes he still liked to shoot. He knew it wasn't by any means an effective method of battle, at least not these days, but then, there was no one he needed to fight. It was simply for enjoyment, and there was nothing getting hurt if he was hitting a target. He knew there was some movie recently that had made shooting popular again, but he hadn't seen it. His bow and arrow were old, but in good shape.
He liked to shoot on the edge of the forest. He'd just aim at random trees, though never animals. There was rarely anyone wandering around the forest just for fun, and it was quiet enough that he would hear them if they came, so he wasn't terribly worried about hurting anyone.
Today was a day when he was feeling particularly strong, and so he went to his regular spot on the outskirts of the trees and began to shoot. He was somewhat out of practice, since he had no regular routine anymore, but he was still quite good. He seldom missed. His concentration was strong as he pulled an arrow back once more, but not enough so that he couldn't hear someone walk up behind him. Will loosened his grip on the string, the bow loosening and unbending as he turned his head around the look who was there.
"Oh, hello," he said to the other. "Nice day isn't it?"

Today was going to be a different way of exploring. Leaving the manor that day she grabbed something and placed it over her it would be quite cold that morning and she decided to get some fresh air. At least they were able to walk around out of the manor. Christine made her way towards the gardens first and explore those areas.
After exploring the gardens she noticed a forest not to far away from her. Christine looked over at it and hesitated. Then she made her way over to the forest and entered in. It was beautiful and she was in her own world as she wondered through the forest. Christine came up behind someone as they started to let go of the string and she looked at him as he turned around.
Christine gave a small smile and she said nothing for a while as he spoke. When he spoke she studied him. "Yes, it is a lovely day. What brings you out here in the forest if you don't mind on me asking?" she asked curiously looking upon the man. Christine tried to make conversation with this man and he seemed interesting, she had never seen a man like him before and she waited patiently for his reply.

• • • • • • • The girl behind him - Will recognized her as one of the Christine's by her curious disposition and smile immediately - said politely, looking him over, "Yes, it is a lovely day. What brings you out here in the forest if you don't mind on me asking?"
Will dropped his bow and arrow to his side, not wanting to seem like an imposing idiot by keeping is raised and smiled back at her. "Well, I enjoy shooting is all. Keeps me in practice."
Not that there was any need to keep in practice but he did it anyway. He needed at least some purposes, sometimes, even if they were made-up in his head... there were only so many ways to not-go-crazy in his situation, after all. "Now if you don't mind, I think I'll ask you the same question; what are you doing out here, exploring the forest alone? Aren't you afraid of all those silly stories about wolves and such?" The fact that Will pointed out the stories were silly were somewhat of an allusion to the fact that he knew Christine was a strong girl at heart; she was probably smart enough to recognize the stories as just that - stories. Sure some things happened in there, but only as many as happened inside the castle. Which was probably a bad thing. But oh well. "Shooting?" she questioned. What could he possibly be shooting out here. The forest was simply full of life, and she loved being out here already. Christine looked at him and nodded her head. "Ah, I see. Are you some sort of hunter?" she asked curiously. Christine was full of questions and she looked at him still.
Her eyes studied the man before her and she listened to his set of words and she didn't say much as he spoke to her. Christine continued to study the man's features in case they ever crossed their paths again. The young blonde looked at him and said nothing more for a while. "Well Monsieur, I recently awoke in the manor and I've yet to explore the grounds. No one I assumed was awake to accompany me out on this little adventure through the woods" she told him. Christine gave a small laugh. "Ah, Monsieur..." she began. "I've read about the stories and I've yet to see a wolf lurking about here in the woods. I'm not afraid of them. If I leave them alone, I'm sure they'll leave me alone too. Trust me, I've seen more horrid things than wolves" she said softly.
Christine looked at the man again and said nothing for a moment. "Forgive me Monsieur, if I have not introduced myself. My name is Christine Giselle Daaé. You are more than welcome to call me Giselle or simply Christine. I also answer to Miss Daaé as well" she said grinning and sticking her hand out for him to shake. "And you Monsieur? Who might you be?" she asked curiously looking upon him with a small smile.

• • • • • • • ""Ah, I see. Are you some sort of hunter?" She asked.
"Oh, no, simply an enthusiast,"
he answered politely. "Well Monsieur, I recently awoke in the manor and I've yet to explore the grounds. No one I assumed was awake to accompany me out on this little adventure through the woods," she laughed in the sweet way she had, "Ah, Monsieur...I've read about the stories and I've yet to see a wolf lurking about here in the woods. I'm not afraid of them. If I leave them alone, I'm sure they'll leave me alone too. Trust me, I've seen more horrid things than wolves." She ended on a soft note, hinting at something she must have been sure he could not predict. Sadly, he was an insufferable snoop in all of their lives', in a way, having read their stories... "Forgive me Monsieur, if I have not introduced myself. My name is Christine Giselle Daaé. You are more than welcome to call me Giselle or simply Christine. I also answer to Miss Daaé as well," always polite, she shook his hand, which he returned with firmness and a smile. He liked her; he liked them all. "And you Monsieur? Who might you be?""My name is William!" He greeted her gladly, remembering to omit the king. He was sick of being kind, after all, and this Christine - well, all of them mostly - was so kind; he wanted to be friends with her, in a childish sort of way! "I live here. So you've just arrived? How does it serve you?" [/blockquote][/blockquote] • • • • • • •

Upon hearing that he wasn't a hunter she was very curious upon why he was practicing with a bow and arrow. It was all so interesting to Christine. She hoped to get more information out of him once the time moves along. She looked up at him as he spoke to her. "Ah, that sounds fascinating, I never heard of those before" she told him a moment. Brushing away a stray of hair out of her face she looked around her surroundings of the forest then back at him.
When he shook her hand she smiled softly at him. "Its nice to meet you William" she said smiling. Then she returned her hand back to her side. "You live here?" she asked almost in a shocked voice and she looked at him curiously. "Interesting.. " she said softly as she looked down then back at him. "It serves me pretty well, but I think I'd like to get some information on why I'm here. It was all so sudden. One moment I was somewhere else then I was here" she told him.
Christine went silent again and she said nothing else at that point. Still unsure if she should trust him or not. The young blonde kept quiet and then she broke her silence. "How long have you lived here, if you don't mind on me asking?" she said suddenly moments after.
//Its perfectly alright. Its good to see you back dear.

• • • • • • • "Ah, that sounds fascinating, I never heard of those before," she said thoughtfully, and Will a bit surprised that she didn't know about bow and arrow. Was it already totally outdated, back in her time? But he was sure people knew what it was nowadays... funny how trends went in circles.
"Its nice to meet you William," she said with a warm smile when they shook hands, and Will wished that he didn't feel guilty around someone who he automatically liked so much. "You live here? Interesting... It serves me pretty well, but I think I'd like to get some information on why I'm here. It was all so sudden. One moment I was somewhere else then I was here!" She told him, and Will kept quiet. She wasn't directly asking him if he knew why she was here, so he'd rather not bring it up.
"How long have you lived here, if you don't mind on me asking?" She asked, interrupting the slightly awkward silence that had begun to fall upon them.
"Oh... my entire life, I suppose,"
Will said, because it was true, even if he was dead now... did being alive in death count as life? Er... what? He was confusing himself. "Have you found anyone you know here, yet?" [/blockquote][/blockquote] • • • • • • •

Christine stood there staring at the trees for sometime before she turned her attention back to him. The blonde smiled and said nothing else for a while. She studied him as she stood there in silence. Hearing the sounds of the wind and the birds she felt like she was in the forest back in her home land back in Paris on the outskirts.
He was a quiet one that's from what Christine gathered. He didn't really talk much and she looked at him for sometime and she cleared her throat. "Really?" she said tilting her head to the side out of curiosity.
"I'm sure you must know everything about the manor then." she said smiling a moment later. Christine then went silent again. "Its so large, one could find themselves getting practically lost in it" she said with a light laugh. When he asked her a question she nodded. "Indeed I have. My music teacher" she said smiling.

"Really? I'm sure you must know everything about the manor then,” she said, with a smile that was meant to be nonthreatening but made Will nervous - would she ask him questions? He didn’t know if he was in the mood for breaking another one of their hearts. "Its so large, one could find themselves getting practically lost in it.”
Will relaxed, feeling like he was safe if just for a moment. ”It is,” he agreed gratefully. ”I still get lost myself, some days.”
The smile on her face grew wider when she answered yes to his question of whom she had found: "My music teacher.” It was a private answer, one that Will understood intimately and felt intrusive because of. BUt he nodded and smiled, glad this CHristine had found her beloved Erik already.
”That’s lovely,” he commented, smiling, meaning it, ”Really, lovely. I hope you’ll have a nice time with him.”

While she stood there she wasn't too sure upon what to do or say at this point. Giselle looked off in the distance for a moment then back at him. She nodded at his words. "Do you now? It takes practice as some say to get used to living there. I've been in there for months at a time, and i still do" she said with a light laugh. Giselle soon pushed her hair out of her face and she looked over at him again.
The young soprano said nothing for a moment and she looked at King William again. "Your Majesty..." she began to say. "O-Or William..." she stuttered and she paused. "What would you like me to call you? I mean, I'm perfectly fine calling you Your Majesty or your Highness" she said softly as she stared at him.
"Yes it is" she said smiling at him. Giselle cleared her throat and said nothing else for a moment. "Have you met him sir?" she asked as she watched him. "His name is Erik. Erik Carrire..." she said in a soft voice. She always loved to speak of her maestro and she waited for his response. "Surely you must have or at least seen him walking around" she said moments later. Then she went quiet and waited for him to speak.

• • • • • • • Christine agreed with his admittance of the house's confusing aspects. She went to answer his question, but then stumbled on his name. "Your Majesty... O-or William... What would you like me to call you? I mean, I'm perfectly fine calling you Your Majesty or your Highness," she said, suddenly appearing a bit nervous about him.
He tried to take it in good stride, answering, "Whatever really, my dear. Will is fine enough." While he oft requested to be called by his more modern nickname, the characters rarely took him up on the offer, startled by its casual shortening and farmiliartiy in terms for a king. But Oh, he thought, I'm not really king of anything but a cacophony of dead people and tragic heroes, now.
With the name situation straightened, she mentioned her Erik with a fondness he knew only Chrstine could produce in reference to the mysterious and deadly man. He nodded, "I may have seen him around, but do not believe we've spoken, really - he's a good man, your Erik. Even if his show's a bit off." He didn't know why he was defending Erik to the only woman who has ever loved him, but a protectiveness he had always felt towards all of them rarely died down.
He smiled at Christine. "But, surely you know that, he said. "Of course you do." He was aware that he was babbling, and suddenly he wished he were back inside, where he could hide from such shame that burned in his chest. Hardly finished with his previous words he said to her, "I'm sorry, I suppose I'm just feeling a bit scatter brained today. I hope you'll not be offended for such callousness." Flustered was a good word for him; Marcus had often called him so. He wished his old friend were here now to guide him in his guilt for bringing such lovely people into such a harsh world.

It was strange to hear that she could call him on a first name basses. "Very well then" she began to say with a small smile upon her face. "Will it is" she said nodding her head. Giselle looked around her surrounds and then she looked back at him for sometime. "So..." she began to say trying to think of something to say towards his highness. Giselle remained silent as she stood there and she bit her lower lip for a moment and she looked at him.
As Will spoke about Erik she smiled and said nothing more for sometime. "Ah, he does tend to do that every now and then. Roam the halls of the manor" she said smiling. "You have? That's wonderful. He's really a good person once you get to know him" she explained to him. "Most people would be afraid of him but I am not" she said smiling.
Giselle remained where she was and she smiled. "Oh, I'm not offended at all Will. I promise you that, you can count on me" she said taking his hand in hers and she squeezed it reassuringly. "I don't get offended easily. I promise you" she told him. "What is your mind Will?" She asked tilting her head once she let go of his hand and she stood beside him for sometime.
