Appearance
Body type: Erik is a rather tall gentlemen. He keeps a tall and strait back from teaching himself correct posture and very slightly toned from having to constantly go up and down stairs and move things around at the opera house.
Eye color: Light blue, very innocent looking.
Wardrobe: Erik is most often seen with his poofy white shirt, his dramatic swishy cape and his white mask that only shows his eyes, mouth, and chin. Sometimes he wares his large black hat and his white gloves. He also has a collection of masks, many fitting with his emotion of the moment. Like when he is very depressed, he most often wares his clown like mask which is white and looks much like his other common mask except around the eye holes, there are long black rhombus shapes that have black tear drop designs, coming out of the bottom middle point with thin lined arching eyebrows painted on. Then he also has a black mask that has large, angry looking eyebrows that he wares most often when he is angry. He has many other masks as well. He also has what I like to call his picnic outfit. It is a white bellowing sleeve shirt with a golden vest. Also comes with a walking cane and a fancy straw hat to complete the happy little outfit.
General Appearance:Erik has kind of golden hair. With his mask on, he has black around his eyes, making it seem even more curious as to what is hiding beneath the mask. Underneath is quite the face to be seen. While he does have a nose, the flesh on it is more or less there. The black circles around his eyes is make up but makes his appearance look slightly more grotesque against the very crimson of his face. All of the skin, besides the areas around his eyes mouth and chin, on his face is a red rose color that looks like the skin had been rubbed away leaving a raw resemblance of a face. There are patches of more natural colored skin that are rough and scab like. And without any makeup like around his eyes and his mouth and chin, it is an unnatural looking pink red. His lips too, have make up on them to add color for without it, they are nearly a sickly white.
Played By: Charles Dance

Personality
Erik is not a pretty sight to see when upset for angry. For either of these occasions, he would wear either his black, enlarged eyebrow mask that resembles his anger or his white with black rimmed mask that has a black rhombus marking over each eye, with a black teardrop below the middle point of each to resemble sadness. His tantrums do not last for long but are fairly violent while his depression may linger on for weeks at a time. These moods can be provoked by something Gerard may have said or a dream/nightmare he had or even a memory. Sometimes these moods come about at random with no real purpose to them at all. However, seeing and listening to an opera would improve his mood along with Christine (for the most part) and his Dreamery.
Dreams and Goals:
*He dreams of marrying and living the rest of his life with his Christine.
*He has the goal of writing a piece of music that many will get to know of. (Though he doesn't care to be known himself)
*He wishes to see Christine have infinite happiness.
Strengths:
*His wonderful self-trained singing voice.
*His velvety and comforting speaking voice. (Which can be very helpful in the event of having to calm someone down)
*His detailed memory that allows him to remember most things in short notice that keep with him for long periods of time.
*His manners that make him such a gentlemen.
*His Christine who can be quite the motivation
*His knowledge for he has read many many books to learn about many many things.
Weaknesses:
*His Christine who can sometimes cloud up his mind and make it difficult for him to make a clear decision.
*His mood which can change with great ferocity and quickness.
*His music, it truly takes a toll on him if he has not listened to any for a certain period of time.
*His possessiveness which makes it difficult to give something up.
*His hatred of Philippe de Chagny which can clash heavily with Christine when she is in the mix.
*His easy fall for vendetta for all those he feels deserves something to be done back to them for their 'crime'.
Fears:
*Being forever alone.
*Never getting to see or hear Christine ever again.
*To be put on display.
*Nightmares.
*Forgetting something very dear to him.

History:
Erik was born disfigured. This was from gypsies giving Erik's mother some sort of drink that brought on the contractions early and lead to Erik being disfigured. But even though he was born disfigured, his mother still loved him very much. She sang to him in her angel like voice. Unfortunately, she later died and Gerard took over in taking care of him. For years, Gerard did not tell Erik that he was his father. So Erik grew up to think that Gerard was some sort of uncle or friend.
When Erik first heard Christine sing, he thought of his mother. Their voices where very similar and he felt so happy and interested to hear that voice again. Though, he could tell that the voice, although beautiful, lacked any formal training. So he then got the idea, maybe he could teach the lady who is able to sing similar to his mother. So later, he asked Christine while she was on stage alone, if she would like lessons. She accepted a little time later. Not to long after, she began her lessons with Erik.
Erik was very happy with her progress. With each lesson he taught her, the better and better she got. Not long after, she sang extremely like his mother. Also, it wasn't the fact that Christine resembled his mother very much, it was mainly the voice. That voice that that came down from heavenly heights, the voice of angles. It was also one the only ways he could connect with his mother again.
((I can put the rest of the history on here if you would like but I think I am going to stop here with his history because this is about the time he will be leaving into the Phantom Manor))
Sample Post:
Erik was sitting in the chair that Christine usually sat in for their lessons. She was taking longer than usual. In the meantime, he worried about what could have happened to her. Did he somehow upset her and she no longer wanted lessons? What did he do then? Or perhaps it was because she felt that she no longer needed lessons. No.. no... that didn't sound like the Christine he knew. So then why was she so late? Erik sighed slightly in frustration of what to do about the current situation. He hoped that nothing bad happened to his dear Christine.
He didn't know how it happened, but some how he had fallen asleep. How on earth could he have fallen asleep?! Especially with worrying and wondering of where Christine could have been, since it was so unusual that she would be late for their lessons. Erik dreamed of Christine, her beautiful and angel-like voice. Her voice was so beautiful, it would have made the angels weep. There was then another person stand up beside Christine. It was his mother and she was smiling at him. Oh how the two figures resembled each other so! Erik closed his eyes and listened to the sweet music. And the oh so beautiful music he heard! He could have just laid there for years, listening to the amazing music that was being sung to him. And much too soon, he woke up.
He was still in much of a trans from the beautiful dream, so much that it took him a few moments to realized that he was no longer in the same chair... or the same place. However, when he did notice, he stood abruptly. Where was he? And how did he get there? But even more so, he was worried about where Christine may be. The chair he was on was a simple stool sitting against the wall. He had never seen this place, this room before. Which worried him very much because he knew the Opera house very well. So if he wasn't in the opera house, where could he possibly be? He observed the room for a moment longer, looking for any indication of where he might possibly be. When he saw that there was no possible clues to tell him where he was at, he walked towards the door. He hoped that no had seen his face, but how had he gotten here? Cautiously he opened the door and walked out into still strange place.
