The gardens had become Madeleine Gautheir's go to place, her sanctuary of sorts. She had yet to run into anything of the disturbing sort here, which she was quite pleased at. However, that little bit of luck was going to change quite soon, but of course Madeleine didn't know that, how could she?
She brought a flower to her nose, breathing in it's clean scent sighing and moving away from it, down the path, the ground crackling beneath her shoes. She looked around, a small breeze blowing through her dark brown, slightly curled hair. A small smile played on her lips as she reached out to smell a few of the other flowers that grew in the garden.
Today, she hoped silently, should be a good day. Perhaps today she'd figure out what all this met and why the only person she'd seen had been exactly like her son, deformed and ugly...
[ this is short and it sort of sucks. but here it is! ]

(Nope, its totally awesome! lol)
Erik came out of the manor and started for the garden in a sweet mood. He wore his white poofy sleeved shirt with a sky blue silk vest. He brought along a golden wooded walking cane to - as always- complete the happy outfit. After being arrested with Lenoir, got to make a new friend at the manor, things were going rather smoothly again.
He walked around in the beautiful silence of the flowers and heat of the summer sun. It almost felt like he had never been trapped under an opera house and was never able to see the light of day and had to be the shadow of the night. Except that was his whole childhood, his whole life until Christine and the manor... so it was still not so easily forgotten and the freedom to be outside still seemingly a privilege.
As he came to a row that was filled with marigolds and bird of paradise plants and flowers, there was a lady smelling some of the flowers, seemingly having the same idea as Erik. To relax and enjoy the peacefulness of the silence. He continued to happily look through the flowers, and friendlily greeted the new face. "Hello Madam, beautiful morning, is it not?" He asked, being a gentlemen, and social as he usually and more recently was. He wasn't completely expecting for the woman to reply back, seeing that she would probably just want to go about in her own business.

( Since I feel bad that Mads is gonna chew his head off for being a gentleman, I'm going to make Amelie when I have 15 posts )
Madeleine was rather enjoying the silence and the solitude, well at least she believed she was alone until a voice spoke behind her. She turned, expecting someone other than the person she saw. A frown creased her face when she saw him. Did everyone in this damned place look like her son!? Was God punishing her for her wrong doings towards her son? If he was she'd rather rot in hell than live through this nightmare day after day.
"Beautiful." she replied, somewhat bitterly, losing he smile and her previously stated good mood. She supposed she could have just walked away, and now that, that reached her mind she rather wished she'd thought of that earlier, but she hadn't therefore she was stuck talking to yet another masked stranger, most likely named Erik. She didn't need this, not now. She didn't want this either. She would rather rot in hell then face a thousand Eriks...
She crossed her arms a bit, looking at him. "Can I help you with something?" She demanded, not kindly, not kindly at all, her eyes narrowed, studying him. He wasn't as much like her Erik as the last one had been, but he still reminded her greatly of him. And that alone made her dislike him.

(WHOOP! XDD)
To Erik's surprise, not only had the woman spoke back but she did so in a slightly unpleasant mood that he had unknowingly suddenly put her in. Erik looked like he shrugged it off and really, he kind of mostly had. After all, he had gone throughout most of his life being known as the infamous and unwanted Phantom of the Opera.
But it had actually been a while since he had been around someone who right off did not like him by the sight of him. Fortunately enough for him though, he didn't care about what people thought about him because there was now plenty of people who did like him and found him pleasant enough, what was a handful of those who didn't like him to them? She then had turned and crossed her arms looking at him and asked if there was something he wanted.
Erik grinned, he almost found it refreshing that someone didn't like him at the moment. "Nothing at all Madame, simply taking in the pleasures of the garden." He grinned, looking back to the flowers. After all, there wasn't much other things to do in a garden unless it is with other people, but a garden was generally and mainly for the scenery and the lovely fragrance. After a moment, he turned back to the woman and gave a graceful bow, continuing to be polite. "Excuse me, where are my manners? He smiled, what was it about all of this that he found amusing? "I am Erik Carriere."

( XDD )
Madeleine had expected her hostility to be mutual, so was caught by surprise when the other came back with polite responses and actions. She couldn't help feeling a little regretful for snapping at him, but pushed that away, scowling a little towards him, surprised that he was grinning at her. She couldn't conceal her shock and once again was filled with regretful feelings.
She narrowed her eyes a bit, trying to keep the bitterness up as he replied that he was only taking in the pleasure of the garden and needed nothing from her. She had half a mind to walk away right there and then but to tell the truth she was intrigued by this man. Instead of reflecting her hostility back at her, he'd shown her kindness despite her rudeness to him. Again regret trickled through her frame but she shook it off. Erik had been pleasant once as well, but he was just a little devil.
A little devil who own an angel's voice.
She was even more so surprised when he bowed to her, introducing himself. She'd been expecting the name 'Erik' to come up but the last name was unfamiliar to her. After a moment she muttered out, "Madeleine. Madeleine Gauthier." She didn't smile, nor did she give any sort of response other than that.
( *snicker* I'm highly amused that Amelie will probably be the exact opposite. She'd be like "It is a pleasure to meet you, monsiuer! I'm Amelie Bellarose!" All the while grinning like a fool and probably attempt to curtsy. XD )
