That evening Meg was having a hard time sleeping soundly in her room. Laying in her bed she had her eyes opened and she stared up at the ceiling. She couldn't get the first day she met him in the library out of her mind. Sighing, Meg slowly rose out of bed and placed her shawl over shoulders. The only thing that was great about this place was that it already had nightgowns in store. Even if one didn't have much clothing. Her hair was down and and she pushed the door open to her room.
Peeking out she looked to see if anyone was out and she didn't see anyone. The Manor was rather dark and she made it carefully down the stairs. She was sneaking out to meet Aimeric. Her boyfriend it seemed now. Or was it something more? Meg wasn't certain. A sigh escaped her and she walked her way towards the garden. There was a cool breeze and she smiled. She stood in the moonlight a little and stared at the closed flowers.
Meg found a bench and she moved out of the moonlight and headed towards it to sit down. Wondering if Aimeric was around. "Aimeric?" she whispered. Not wanting to raise her voice. Meg fully knew very well that the whole manor was asleep. Except for herself and she just wanted to see him. Meg didn't care if it was late at night, she wanted to be with him more than anything at this point.

Aimeric was in the garden, his ankle crossed over his other leg as he looked down at his book. He looked up and saw Meg looking out from her window, then smiled a bit. Once she left the window his smile faded, but he waited, wondering if she was going to come out or not. He slowly stood, and waited. Just as he was about to sit back down, he saw her and walked over to her, whispering back to her. "Meg?" He got closer, and smiled. "Well bonjour, mon amour." He took both of her hands in his and kissed her forehead.
It was a pleasant surprise for him. After all he didn't get to talk much because of his mute state, so it was always a pleasure to be able to be verbal for once. Meg was the most important person in his life, and he would do anything for her. Secretly he worried about losing her, but he didn't want to let her know that.
He thought she would leave one day and he would lose her forever, maybe she would realize it was no fun to be around someone who could hardly ever speak and just let him go. But she seemed so perfect... He couldn't stop thinking about how she deserved better, it was something that clogged his mind and he almost wanted to tell her but he didn't. Eventually he was going to give though, he could feel it, and he dreaded the feeling.

Hearing Aimeric's voice she said nothing for a moment and she looked upon him. When he took her hands she grinned more and she giggled. "Yes, its me" she said softly to him. Meg said nothing and she felt him kissing her forehead. "Hello to you too.." she said in a soft voice. Meg had never felt like this before towards anyone, she couldn't believe she actually had someone she could love.
It was amazing to her, to see him out so late as well. "What is it?" she asked as she stood there with her hands in his and she looked at him. Tilting her head a little. "Couldn't sleep?" she questioned suddenly. "I couldn't stop thinking of our first meeting either" she said grinning. Coming closer pressing her forehead against his and closing her eyes.
"I've never been in love before Aimeric, and there are times when I want to sleep but I just can't. I haven't stopped thinking about you since we met...." she told him. "Is this normal?" she asked suddenly. Soon wrapping her arms around him and pressing her head against his chest. Not wanting to leave his side tonight. All she wanted to do was to be near him. Feel him and talk to him.

He nodded, and soon after yawned. "You read my mind.." He listened to her speak, and felt that same tingling sensation he felt when they first met once their foreheads met. She was just so special and he couldn't get over how lucky he was. Not only that, but he knew the feeling would never go away. His thoughts were nearly always on her, and there were nights he would just lay in bed and think about her.
He smiled when he heard her say that she couldn't sleep either, and held her close, his arms gently wrapped around her. "I should think so... Because that's exactly how I feel..." He kissed her temple and sighed contently. "I wouldn't trade the feeling for the world, though, I know that much.." He still felt his heart race, in a good way, when he was near. Everything he felt the first time he was feeling all over again, and it was the best feeling in the world.
He felt like he actually mattered, like he actually would make a difference in someone's feelings if he spoke to them. Most people he could hardly hold a conversation with, but she was different, and he found it so much easier to speak to her. As a matter of the fact, she was the only person he could actually speak to. Everyone else he had to write down things on a notepad for. She was the only one and he hoped it all lasted forever.

Giving a soft laugh, Meg remained close to her and she felt him taking her hands. "Have I ?" she asked in a soft whisper. Meg remained where she was and she felt his forehead against hers and she grinned a bit. Meg had never felt anything like this before and she was just happy. She looked up at him again, as she felt him pull her close to him.
The cold wind outside brushed her skin a little and she shivered. Right now she didn't care about being cold, she felt his warm arms around her and she leaned in more to him. "Its strange to me, considering I've never felt like this before towards anyone. I don't know if whenever my mother will come here, if I should tell her or not" she said sighing. "There still haven't been any news on her whereabouts though. She may be strict, but she's my mother. And I'm sure she'd love to meet you" she said smiling. When he kissed her head she sighed.
Meg remained silent for sometime. Placing her head upon his chest and just remaining close to him. The blonde heard his heart beat and smiled. "So, how have you been?" she asked moments later, trying to come up with a good conversation. "I'm sorry it took me a long time to get out here. I just...didn't want to wake anyone up" she informed him. Meg sighed and pulled her head up off his chest and looked up at him in his eyes.

Aimeric smiled softly and spoke. "I've been good.. Thinking about you constantly.." He looked into her eyes and stroked some hair from her face before shaking his head. "No, don't be sorry. I understand it's probably hard to not wake anyone up when there's dozens and dozens of people asleep in there." He let his hand play with her hair gently.
He felt a blush on his cheeks as he continued to look into her eyes, and without further thought he leaned in and kissed her lips with a gentleness, slowly wrapping his arms around her a bit tighter and pulling her closer. It was easily one of the best feelings in the world, and he could even feel their hearts beating in sync as the upper portion of their bodies touched. He wouldn't trade this feeling for the world, he knew that much.
A few moments later he broke away, a small smile spread across his lips as he loosened his hold on her and looked into her eyes once more. If this wasn't love then he hadn't a clue what was. He secretly hoped that she felt the same way when they kissed, that she needed him as much as he needed her. Without her, he wouldn't be the happier man he now was. He didn't exactly know what he would have been if he didn't meet Meg. She was easily the best thing that ever happened to him and he knew he wanted this to last a lifetime.

Quirking a brow, she eyed Aimeric playfully. "Have you now... well that's good to know" she said softly. "Hm, well I've been doing the same thing!" she said grinning a little. "Oh, trust me it is... I mean, there are spirits, there are everything in there you can't even imagine..lurking on in there. I feel I need to ask permission to leave!" she said giggling.
Her eyes closed and she felt him kiss her again and she wrapped her arms around his neck. Meg felt the shawl slip off her shoulders and she kissed him still. When he pulled her closer she inhaled and she ran her finger tips through his hair and she said nothing for a moment. Enjoying his touch and and she felt the breeze come over them. She shuddered lightly and she said nothing for a moment.
When he pulled back she panted and she looked at him for a moment. "What was that all about?" she asked looking up at him. Keeping her gaze in his eyes. Saying nothing for a moment keeping still and remaining silent for a while. Her eyes closed and she gripped onto him. Like he'd disappear from her or something. Meg sighed contently and she looked at him and waited for his response. "Your amazing; You know that?" she whispered.

"I guess I love you so much that sometimes I just can't control it.." He smiled a bit, holding her close as he gave her his answer. If there was anything or anyone more beautiful than her, he had yet to see it. He still wondered how someone so beautiful could fall in love with >him< of all people. He was so quiet, and he wasn't the most romantic person in the world. One could say he was even a bit of a dork. He just didn't get how it all happened, how she was attracted to him at all. It amazed him and he felt so lucky that she actually returned the same feelings as him.
"You're even more amazing, mon amour.." He whispered back to her, his hand that had just been playing with her hair traveling down to her neck, his thumb brushing gently against her neck as he looked into her eyes. He didn't want to leave her, he really didn't. Then an idea popped into his mind. "I was wondering.. Did you want to stay at my house for the night? I have extra beds so you wouldn't have to sleep next to me.. Heh." He blushed.
He knew she probably wasn't supposed to leave, but she wouldn't get caught if he just brought her with him when he usually would sneak into the library to read. Nobody usually suspected that he wasn't from the Manor, and if he snuck in well enough nobody would even know she left. But, then again he didn't want to make her uncomfortable, so if she didn't want to stay with him then she certainly didn't have to. He wasn't going to ruin his relationship with her by making a stupid mistake, although maybe even just asking her may have offended or made himself sound creepy. He didn't know. He could only hope the reaction was positive, though.
He knew Mooshi, his kitten, wouldn't mind some company. It would probably be the first time he ever even actually had company at his house. She was the first person since he moved to England that he got close to and knew well enough to invite to his house. Sure, he knew others in the Manor, but he never talked to them enough to just ask them to sneak out of the Manor and come to his house. Maybe he would make that really good friend though, he could only really hope. But he felt like if he did make a friend, it would be someone from the Manor and they would never be able to come to his house.

As he kept her close, she placed her hand upon his chest and she looked at him and she giggled. Something within her always made her laugh and she looked at him. "Pfft Me? Amazing... I dont' think so Aimeric" she said softly looking down at the ground. Not meeting his gaze. She was secretly blushing and she gave a small laugh. Trying to keep things silent and she said nothing for a moment. Keeping her gaze down at the ground.
Lost in her own little world, Meg played with his fingers that were free. Soon she felt his hand upon her neck and she tensed almost and she looked up at him. "I-....I don't know if we are supposed to leave the manor though Aimeric" she said softly frowning at the moment. "It sounds so amazing to be somewhere new and exciting" she said looking at him. "Since I've never been in love, as I told you and your the first person I ever fell in love with... and...well.. you know... I just.. I want to yes most definitely" she paused again rambling. "I would love to come to your home and see where you lived." she said smiling.
Making her eyes leave his and then down to the ground, then back at him. "Well, why not? That's the whole point of having an adventure.." she said sighing. "I want to risk it. I don't care if we can't come back to the manor, and I'll be with you! Only you... I don't care really what happens to me if I leave this place..." she said to him. "I feel like I've been transported into another world!" she said in a small voice.
Thinking it over again she looked over at him and smiled a little. "Yes! The answer's Yes!" she said giggling a little too loudly. Then she hushed. "Oops..." she muttered looking down then back at him. "When do we leave?" she asked. "Is your house in the village, or outside of it? I dunno if we can leave to go outside the manor or the village" she bit the inside of her lip and Meg looked up at him saying nothing for sometime.

He gave her a gentle kiss on the cheek. "You're right. You're not amazing. You're so much more than that... Words can't describe how lucky I am to have you." He smiled softly, his gaze loving. He'd never had such an intimate moment with anyone before... Each of these moments he had with her made him a better person, or at least it felt like it. And from what she had been saying, she hadn't had intimate moments like these with anyone else either.
He smiled and laughed a bit when she realized she was being loud. She had the most amazing laugh, each time he heard it she made him smile. He loved everything about her. "My house is in the village, and we can leave anytime you'd like. We could even leave right now if you wanted to.. Only if you're sure though.. I don't want you getting in trouble.. I don't want to see you hurt is all." He said with a frown that had formed on his lips. He felt like he couldn't stop smiling, she just made him so happy.
That was just it though. She made him so happy, and what he felt was extremely strong. She may not have realized it, but she made her a much happier man. He wasn't someone who was grumpy all of the time before he met her, but he was depressed, and now that he was with her his depression was starting to fade. How could he be sad all the time when he had someone so beautiful and brilliant in his life? It was near impossible for him to be upset at all.
It felt like he couldn't go on if he ever was separated from her. That was part of why he was so protective and gentle with her. On the other hand, it was just instinct. He felt like he had to be gentle with her because he felt like if he was too rough that he would make her uncomfortable around him, and he had to be protective because he felt like he couldn't let anyone near her without being suspicious. Which, may not have been the best thing, but it was just instinct for him.
He worried too much though, and he knew it. He needed to ease his anxiety, but it seemed unlikely for him. He thought he would ask her himself, to see what she thought. "Say, Meg..? I uhm.. You don't think I'm too protective over you, do you? I-I just don't want you to think I'm trying to be annoying.. I just get a bit worried.." He smiled nervously, just wanting to make sure she didn't think he was some psycho protecting her from anything and everything.

Standing there, she smiled softly up at him and said nothing fora moment. "Hm, I can only imagine.." she said in a small voice giving a light laugh and she looked down at him for a moment. "My thoughts have been doing the same. Thinking of you every moment of the day" she said confessing almost to him. This was all brand new to Meg. Love, having a relationship with him and everything all above it. Her world, since meeting him has been turned upside down and she looked at him a little more she said nothing as she studied her new love up close and personal.
Remaining where she was she stood on her toes and looked at him. "Hm, How about now then? As long as its in the village, I suppose that's alright. I mean, a few residences here in the manor have told me not to go beyond the village. So this is perfect!" she said beaming a little more. "I'm excited to see where you live Aimeric" she said smiling at him. Soon, she lowered herself from him for a moment. "I understand.." she said kissing him for a moment then she pulled away. "But you won't get me in trouble. I've wanted to go beyond the manor anyways and explore, so this is fine" she said to him rubbing her thumb on his knuckles a bit and smiling more.
Meg said nothing and heard the wind and the crickets within the garden from where they were standing. Everything was beautiful at this moment and she wanted to cherish it forever. Her eyes darted from his and she opened up her hand and she laced her fingers with his again and she looked up at him.
After a moment of silence from Meg, she spoke to Aimeric. "No no your not too protective at all.." she said softly. "Everything is fine my love. I promise you. Everything is fine" She said leaning up and calming him by kissing him once more. "Its a funny feeling.." she whispered placing her forehead against his softly. "Love... never knew one could find it in a brilliant place" she said giggling.

He smiled slightly, then kissed her back and nodded in agreeance. "Yes.. I thought I'd never find someone as amazing as you.." He said as he brushed his thumbs over her knuckles, closing his eyes briefly before looking into her eyes. She sure was something, she was nothing like the other girls he'd met. She was so much different, in a good way of course. Most other girls he'd come across were... Well, they didn't have much self-respect, aside from the women at the Manor.
Aimeric kissed her and let it linger for a few moments, before he spoke, his lips still brushing against hers. "Do you want to go to the village now?" He asked with a small smile, blushing at their closeness, but enjoying it at the same time. Goodness, how lucky he felt to have her. He felt like the luckiest man in the world, and if he died right then, he would die happy because she was in his life, and she made him feel like a better person. She made him feel like he was worth something.
Never had anyone made him feel this way, but now that he did feel this way he just wanted to jump up and down in pure joy without a care in the world. That was the thing, too. He felt like he didn't have a care in the world, his stress levels decreased dramatically, and he had to owe it all to her. Even if they parted one day, he would always remember that she made him felt like he was actually worth something. Before he met her he felt like he could jump off of a building and nobody would care, but now he knew at least one person would care. She would, or at least he hoped she would if that were to happen.
