Appearance
Body type:She doesn't walk, she swims... umm... she's very lean, tone and muscular, full-breasted (because people don't make pics of flat-chested mermaids XD )
Eye color: a hazy blue-grey color like the sea. They glow pale blue in the moonlight.
Wardrobe: ... she doesn't exactly wear anything... but she likes jewelry. Whenever she can be, the siren is blingin' *nods*
General Appearance:
She has pasty pale skin from years and years of living in the lake beneath the opera in the cellars. Her skin has an almost rubbery quality to it, which prevents her from becoming soggy in water the way human skin would. She has jet black hair (which is not really hair, but more of very very fine feelers similar to tentacles or wiskers) and her eyes.... I guess the closest human description I could give is imagine Sarah Brightman's eyes, and then make them Asian and look 10 times more than usual like they're going to suck your soul right out of your body.
Her tail is so dark, it almost appears black, but if you look closely, there is a slightly greenish shine and is made up of sharp knife-like scales. Her fin is spiny and opaque and is also a black-ish color. her fish-like tail and fin are very similar to those of sturgeons in the Caspian Sea, where she is originally from.
She sometimes does henna on her arms from a sort of ink she makes from scum and algae. She has sharp, claw-like nails and webbed fingers which allow her to easily cut through water. She has a sort of mystical alluring atmosphere to her which, along with her voice, she uses to lure in her victims. However, he prefers to remain hidden and simply to use her voice to do such.
She has a very long, slender frame that has little drag, allowing her to swim very quickly, cutting through the water in a torpedo-like fashion. She has very long arms, and has powerful muscles from spending her life living in and moving through water.
Played By: Some mermaid from a drawing I found in a Google image search. It was on this site, but the whole site is in Russian, soo... www.liveinternet.ru/users/875697/post168553164/

Personality
The Siren is a fairly finicky creature. She has extreme shifts in mood and behavior depending on who and what she is around. She can be the most dangerous, feared thing you've ever known, or as sweet as a puppy if she likes you.
To most people, when first meeting, is a frightening, sarcastic bitch who looks down on everyone (She must get it from Erik XD). She would kill without a second thought, as it is in her nature. She is fairly passive in emotions when in this state as she comes across those who are to become her victims. This is the way that she has lived for so many years, and so she really gives no thought to it. It's a reflexive action of sorts for her to behave this way around most people.
Around her master, however, she is the sweetest thing she could possibly be. Like a little puppy, wanting nothing but to please and receive praise from the master. She can almost be described as cuddly around him. She is very loyal to him, and adores him almost to the point of being in love, and gets extremely jealous of anything that can take his attention away from her. She likes to leave him the bodies of her victims on the shore of the lake, sort of like how a cat will leave the animals it catches on its master's doorstep as a sort of offering and a "look what I did! aren't you so proud of me? *^-^*"
Dreams and Goals:
Her dream is to have Erik acknowledge her as more than just the guardian of the house on the lake and perhaps even fall in love with her rather than constantly chasing after that wretched Christine. (My Character hates my other character!! yay! XD ) In other words. She's like that cat who belongs to that guy who's been single for a long time. Then when the guy starts going out, the cat is jealous of the girlfriend XD My brother's cat it like that...
Strengths:
- strong swimmer
- seductive
- immortal
- has the voice of... well... a siren
- fast
[/li][/ul]
Weaknesses:
- ill-tempered
- makes hasty judgments
- is confined to wherever there is water for her to live in
- attracted to shiny objects
- her master, Erik
Fears:

- going without water because despite the fact that she cannot die, she can be in extreme pain

The Past
Sirens never know their parents, but they do have siblings. This siren had a sister. I suppose you could consider Erik her friend and family. She's like his imaginary friend and pet. Big bad imaginary guard dog of the house on the lake that Erik likes to blame for things.
History:
Sirens, much like many types of fish, never really know their parents. Their mother leaves them on the rocky sea bed as sacks (much like some species of sharks) and then they grow to the size of about a foot long in their sac and then chew through the soft membrane to make their way out to the world.
Within a few hours of coming into the world from their sac, little sirens begin to develop their vocal chords, which later on in life becomes their greatest asset and defense mechanism. Within the space of six months, they gave grown to their full size and their vocal chords are almost fully developed. They continue to develop their voices until they are about a year old, but at this point, they have yet to achieve their status of immortality. In order to gain immortality, a siren must lure her first victim, which is why it is very seldom you run across one who is not a blood-thirsty killer, because they do not live very long otherwise. A siren has until her fifth year to lure in her first victim or else she sort of melts away into water. she must then continue to have a fresh victim a minimum of every 5 years to continue the cycle of immortality.
This Siren is from the Caspian sea and, of course, has been able to achieve and maintain her immortality. One evening, she was swimming close to the shore during the high tides, and as the tide went back, she was caught and trapped in a tide pool. Being land locked, she could not escape from the tide pool. Morning came and the hot sun began to beat down on the shore, drying up the tide pool. The siren was in great pain under the direct light of the scorching sun and lack of water.
It was around noon, when the sun was high, that a man -- Erik -- came walking along that Persian shoreline and spotted the trapped creature in her suffering. It is not known precisely what happened at this point, but rumor has it that the man dragged the siren back to the sea and that, in a way, she has remained with him in in his mind ever since, sort of as his imaginary friend and pet. She "guards" the house on the lake, or rather, is blames for the tragedies, misfortunes, and murders of the house on the lake.

It was around one o'clock in the morning after that horrifying gala where the young soprano Christine Daaé had disappeared from the stage. It had been rather calm down on the underground lake, other than of course when the master had dragged the screaming wench down to the house with him. She, the Siren of the lake, hated company, but obeyed her master's wished of who would be allowed to cross.
It was around this time though, that there was a ripple from the opera side of the lake, a ripple which disturbed the Siren's slumber. A ripple meant that there was an intruder. The Siren pressed the trigger which rang a little electric bell in order to alert her master to the presence of an intruder on his lake. Then she went to investigate.
Like an eel, She slithered and slinked silently through the vast waters of the lake, to the opposite shore, where someone had touched off with the boat and was headed toward the shore with the house -- her masters house.
In a voice that started as soft as smooth and as sweet as flowing honey, she began to sing in a nameless language, more beautiful than any language that could be uttered by any mortal tongue. The language of only enchanted beings...
mal ari-usk nafaffi tii...
Areehoo aye falleh kii,
Malayhay nunhi garosha
shmolouévou hanni appaariu...
The singing slowly crescendoed as she saw the man in the boat (she could distinctly tell it was a man now) lean more near to the water until...
SPLASH!
He leaned so far that the boat tipped over. Acting quickly, the siren stopped singing and grabbed his arms with a hiss as he fell into the waters on the lake. She resisted against his struggles, dragging him further and further to the bottom of the lake, faster than any human was capable of swimming, like a dark jet, torpedoing to the lake bed, not stopping. Merciless...
