Carlotta had been here for what felt like forever. Since she had first come upon the library, she had balanced neatly on the thin line of interest and obsession for understanding why all of the years were different. For some odd reason, she couldn't accept that she was in the future.
Carlotta had made up her mind to try and be reasonable and look through the books to try and find clues. Time machines were out of the question for certain. She had heard that ghosts had brought them here, for reasons unknown or just various. The only conclusion she could come up with was that it was true which of course, she could not accept as an option.
Without her adoring public and her operas to sing, to occupy her self, she came up to have this sort of investigation as her new hobby. As much as she loved this new 'modern' time, being here was unrealistic and Carlotta was a very realistic person. Carlotta stood in front of the shelves upon shelves of books, looking for some sort of answer. She held a cup from Star Bucks that was filled with reheated pumpkin spice latte and wore a white long sleeved shirt that had a slight V neck, the shirt bottom being tucked under a long turquoise skirt that had gold designs at the bottom of it.
Carlotta then came upon a book that seemed very interesting and even hauntingly familiar. It read: The Phantom of the Opera - 1911. She realized that the same name had been used to label the ghost of her same opera house. But 1911 was also in the future. While she had been so preoccupied with the book, she failed to realize that someone else had come into the library while at the same time- she had forgotten that she had a hot drink in her hand and it slowly began to pour onto her hand. The second the hot drink came into contact with her hand she yelped and dropped the book while she made sure not to drop the drink and instead put it in her other hand while letting her hand dry and cursing a few panish words under her breath.
