Roselin sat at the table with a bag of M&Ms. She wore a soft pink short sleeved shirt with a white long sleeved shirt underneath, dark blue jeans, and an orange cap. Now one might wonder why a 15 year old teenage girl is sitting at a table with a back of M&Ms.
There is one answer. She is single and Valentines day is coming up. Roselin was use to being single and she never had any sort of relationship long enough to go till Valentines Day. So every V-day she would have an all day sit down, being with the one thing that had always been there for her on V-day. Her chocolate. Whether it be M&Ms or Reases, she could always count on it.
Roselin was starting a little early with her chocolate tradition, but she was already getting sick from eating to much of it. She grumbled and pushed the bag away, crossed her arms, glared at the back, then head desked the table, making her cap go flying off. After a moment of sitting there in silence, she exasperatedly sighed and retrieved her orange cap, placing it back on her head. Roselin then reached in the bag and popped one more M&M into her mouth then glared at the bag again. "What do you have any better ideas?"

Valentine’s Day was a day during which La Carlotta generally took great pleasure. There hadn’t been a year since she finally stepped out of her sister’s shadow that she hadn’t been the recipient of any number of Saint Valentine’s Day gifts. After all, a prima donna of such renowned status as herself generally had no shortage of admirers among her adoring public… But then again, that was back when she had an adoring public. Now… here…
The diva gave a disgruntled snort and tossed her head a bit to the side, as if to outwardly show to an invisible panel her distaste at the circumstances at hand. This simply would not do! She’d worked far too hard to make her way to the top only to have it all so suddenly taken away by this wretched Manor.
Her green eyes flickered toward to door of her room, debating on whether or not it was worth coming out today. She’d found herself doing this quite often recently, which seemed foreign, and out of character for her. After all, why should one who adored being the center of attention so much want to avoid any outside attention? Well, perhaps it could have to do with the fact that the attention she had received in this place was not all too pleasant for the most part….
She sighed softly and then dragged her somewhat rotund rumpus from the cushiony comfort of her beg and trudged on somewhat begrudgingly through the halls and down to the kitchen. Even if not from any admirers, perhaps there was some sort of sweet treat there to help take her mind off things. When she got to the dining room, however, she arched a brow at the familiar blonde girl sitting at the table and what appeared to be talking to either herself or a brown bag that sat on the table. “Bambina? What are you doing?”

Roselin jumped slightly, sharply inhaling, when she heard a voice from behind her suddenly. But she realized quickly that it was Carlotta and she eased and smiled. She picked up the back of M&Ms, tossing it up and down a bit. "I am just doing the modern tradition of self pitying for being single on Valentines day. I don't even know why I do it." She laughed.
Then against her better judgment, reopened the back and picked up a few M&Ms before popping them into her mouth. She then paused and looked at Carlotta, almost stunned. "You probably haven't had any of these before, have you? I mean, they might have been made around your time period but I really doubt it, though it would be kinda funny to mention delicious M&Ms in the book or play and stuff. Anyways, you really ought to have some." Roselin said laughing and holding the bag out to Carlotta.

Carlotta eyeballed the bag in Roselin’s hands. She wasn’t completely sure yet of its contents, but it seemed to be some sort of a small colorful round food… She said that she was doing some sort of modern tradition… Though why would anyone be upset about being single on Valentine’s Day? After all, if you were single, you were open to receive attention from more admirers… What was really dreadful on such a day was not being single, but being alone…
The girl began to eat more of her strange colorful round food and then looked at Carlotta with a stunned expression. “No,” the diva said in reply to her inquiry as to whether or not she had ever had the things before. M&M’s, she called them. A peculiar name for a food… “What do they taste like exactly?” she asked when the girl said that she ought to have some. They certainly didn’t resemble any food with which she was particularly familiar with…

Roselin mildly smiled at Carlotta, glancing at her little chocolates every once in a while. Carlotta then asked what the M&Ms tasted like, which made the young blonde pause and think for a moment. "Well... they taste like chocolate.... with a sort of chocolate shell over it. Their colorful but none of them really taste any different from any other. Their nothing like skittles." She said with a laugh, not realizing that she would have no idea what skittles were either.
Roselin smiled and set the bag back on the table and started to search through the cooler part of the pantry where some other chocolates were stored. "There's also kisses here if you want them... they are completely chocolate with no sort of shell. I am sure there are some Cadbury Eggs too which I am sure we could restock on after Easter." She said, picking up a few Cadbury eggs and a handful of chocolate kisses then sat them on the table, though she wasn't planning on eating all of that chocolate. In fact, she wasn't planning on eating much of it any more. Just seeing it piled up on the table looked kind of nice enough without making her to sick to her stomach.

With a shell over it? Carlotta asked herself silently. She imagined some of the other foods she was familiar with that had shells—crabs, lobsters, walnuts, chestnuts—and wondered if this shell she referred to were anything like any of those. She certainly hoped not. After all, none of those shells were edible. However, Roselin claimed that this particular shell was made out of chocolate as well.
Carlotta was becoming oh so very confused with all of this talk of strange candies that she’d never heard of before. M&M’s, Skittles, Kisses, Cadbury Eggs… It was enough to make one’s head spin! But one thing was for certain, and that was that Carlotta absolutely adored chocolates.”May I try some?” the diva asked. After all, she’d never had M&M’s before, and was curious what the little bite-sized chocolates tasted like.

Carlotta asked if she may have some, to which Roselin nodded enthusiastically. "Please do! If there is any other sort of chocolates you want, there is plenty here and in the pantry and fridge. I couldn't possibly eat most of this. Its so much chocolate... its more than what my mother would have in the house when she was alive.... and that was a lot." She laughed.
Roselin guessed that her mother was the source of where she got all of her chocolate loving. Then again... she could never actually bring herself to eat much of it, just as she saw now. She unwrapped the chocolate egg and bit into its heavenly goodness. It was so wonderfully sugary, it made her teeth hurt. Not the best thing to feel in the world, but it tasted good. Roselin did her best to not make a mess out of it as she glanced up every now and then too see Carlotta's reactions to the chocolate.

To say that Carlotta was quite fond of chocolates was a gross understatement. The diva adored chocolate! When Roselin said that she was welcome to have some, she gave a grin and rather greedily reached her hand into the bag and helped herself, taking a handful of the brightly-colored, round, supposedly chocolate candies and then popping a few of them into her mouth.
When she looked down at her hand afterward, she noticed some colorful marks in blue, brown, red, green, and yellow on her hand. She assumed that they much have been from the candies (since they were the same color and she knew from experience how chocolate sometimes melted in one’s hand), and debated, for a moment, licking it off, until she remembered that’s he wasn’t alone and sort of discretely reached for a paper napkin from the holder in order to wipe the stuff off.
“È benissimo!” she exclaimed after swallowing the chocolaty goodness of the M&M’s candies. “Is very good!”

Roselin hadn't seen the diva lick off the chocolate residue from her hand but surely if she had, the young girl would have been put into a giggling fit at seeing an adult make an almost child action. Instead, the blonde girl licked the rest of the cream from the center of the half bitten egg then finished it off. Oh sugar, what would women do without you?
Roselin smiled happily with Carlotta exclaimed that she liked them. "Awesome! There is plenty here! Though we shouldn't eat too much of course, I would hate too see the either of us to end up with a stomach ache. As easy as it is too do that when digging into chocolate and stuff." Roselin laughed. Oh yes, as a younger child, she had gotten plenty of stomach aches from getting into her mother's secret stashes. She knew better now.... usually she did anyways.

((short post is short))
Carlotta was quite enjoying this. After all, what sort of plump diva wouldn’t enjoy a mouthful of chocolate candy morsels? It would be utter blasphemy!
Mmmm…. It was so very sweet and chocolatey, teh diva couldn’t help but to continue eating them, only half-listening to Roselin’s comment about how they shouldn’t eat too many or else they might feel sick afterward.

Roselin smiled then sat back and sucked on a square of a Hershey milk chocolate bar and thought for a moment. She wondered what it was about chocolate that was so amazing. Surely it couldn't be just the sugar because then plenty more people would love apples and eating them because... you know... apples have sugar.
"How do you usually spend your Valentine Days?" The blonde suddenly asked. Roselin's days were usually filled with chocolate while she would whine about the weakness of the male race and their incapability of getting over their fears and giving her a box of chocolates. A box of chocolates from a guy would be better than nothing... even if meant that it might increase the size of her waist which it usually didn't because she was a fairly active girl.
