Raoul slowly released his grasp on Christine, his arms and hands brushing down her arms and hooking gently onto her hands. He then lead her to the door to go back down, opening the door first so that she could go in through first. Then went him himself.
The moment he was under the door's frame, everything went black, like when you stand up too quickly. He paused, staying still for a moment till he got his vision back. And though his vision slowly crept back from the darkness, he went on full speed ahead and walked right into a wall. Raoul stumbled back, his eyes wide in shock. He then paused, and blinked a bit.
He walked up to the wall then placed his hands on the wall, half expecting his hands to go through. But all that happened was a light smack. Briskly, he put his hands all over the wall as if he were trapped. But he then felt extremely silly and stopped at once, looking around. This did not look at all like the way he had come from before, and he didn't see Christine aroun- Christine! Raoul suddenly spun around several times, looking for Christine. She had just been there!
Raoul then zoomed down the dusty hallway, no idea where he was going. Then after what seemed like an endless maze of hallway after hallway, he came to another hallway filled with doors. He paused, then slowly continued... looking at each door. And what he saw stunned him. All of the name plates were filled with Christines, Carlottas, Philippes, and even Raoul! Now, this may have been a little more normal, had it not been for the fact that they were all the same last names. He then came to a door with the name plate 'Raoul Ace de Chagny' on it. He stood, mouth opened wide. "What in God's name is this?"
He tried the doorknob. Locked. He stared at it, beyond baffled at this sudden strangeness. He then heard something like a little piece of metal ringing and turned around to see a brass key. He now more calmly walked towards it, picking it up, then turned back and tired it and it worked. But he did not open the door. Who knows what was actually behind it? So although he left it unlocked, he pulled the brass key out and placed it in his pocket. He then turned and saw a blonde young woman, coming down the hallway at him. He wasn't sure if she had noticed him but perhaps she could help him. "Excuse me, Mademoiselle! I am afraid I need to ask for your help, or at least ask you a few questions." He spoke to her, hoping she could give him any sort of logical explanation.
