It was Christmas morning there at the manor. It had been several months now since Carlotta had mysteriously arrived there, and she had yet to make any pleasant acquaintances at all, with the exception of one odd little blonde girl who, strangely enough, reminded her a bit of herself at that age. It was this girl, Roselin, who she was going to visit now. She had, hidden behind her back, a small wrapped box with a little book inside that she thought the girl might enjoy. It was, after all, a very good book, written on the traditional Italian technique. She got the the girl's room in the dormitories and knocked on the door. “ Roselin, cara, are you in there?”

Roselin was sat in front of the T.V., just about to have her My Little Pony run through, watching as many episodes as she kinda wanted. She wasn't a big fan of it... but at least she didn't loose as many braincells as she might from watching Sponge Bob or something. Just as she was about to start the first episode, there was a knock on the door and she heard Carlotta's voice.
Roselin jumped up and opened the door. "Good morning! And happy Christmas!" She said excitedly. Yes... she was just about to have a MLP marathon... on Christmas day. Even though she could be outside building a snowman or in the kitchen having some hot cocoa but no.... shes going to watch My Little Pony... shes a nut, lets just leave it as that. "Oh and I have something for you!" She said smiling, running to her pillow and grabbing an envelope from underneath it then ran back to Carlotta. Smiling innocently with the envelope behind her back.

“Buona Natale, bambina!” she said as the little blonde girl opened the door, and greeted her with a big kiss on the cheek, as was traditional in the Italian culture when greeting ‘family,’ particularly during special occasions such as the holidays. She looked at the girl with a rather curious air when she said that she had something for her.
“Oh? I have something for you too… May I come in? What are you doing up here all alone on Christmas anyway?”

Roselin giggled when she saw the curiosity in the diva's face. She couldn't wait for her to see! "Of course you can come in! And I am kind of use to being alone on Christmas. Last year, my dad didn't come home that evening so I went out and did stuff myself. Well... that's what usually happens each Christmas..." She said, looking down some then looked back up happily.
"I was just about to watch some 'My Little Pony'. Its kind of a girly show and I am not tremendously into it... but I guess I could consider myself a Pegasister." Roselin laughed, then giggled when she nearly forgot she was holding Carlotta's gift behind her back. She pulled out the neatly decorated envelope. "Merry Christmas! Hey... maybe you would like to watch a few episodes with me... If you want and all. I know Christmas is suppose to be a rather busy day but..." Roselin giggled some more and shrugged her shoulders some.
(Inside is a card that has a mamma owl and a baby owl with Christmas caps. It also says, "Owl I want for Christmas this year..." Then on the inside it says in big lettering "Is to see you smile! Merry Christmas!" And has Roselin signature. The card is made by Roselin.)

((D’awwwwww :3))
Carlotta frowned when Roselin explained how she was used to being alone on Christmas because her father never came home. What an awful thing! Well, at least her little bambina didn’t have to be alone this year—La Carlotta would make certain of it!
“I’m sorry, bambina,” she said, looking at the girl with some concern for a moment. “At least you don’t have to be alone this year. Buona Natale!”
The other explained about the strange colorful ponies on the moving picture screen and Carlotta regarded them with some fascination for a moment before looking back at the girl. It was…. different, to say the least. “I…. could watch a little,” she said, agreeing if it would mean keeping the young girl company at least on Christmas.
The dive took the envelope from her younger counterpart, and opened it, pulling out a card with two owls wearing Christmas caps. It was homemade from the look of it. She opened it up and read the contents. It took her a few tries, including reading it softly aloud and hearing it, before she got the pun and a huge smile spread across her chubby face.
“Oh! Oh, bambina, cara, is wonderful… did you make this?” She turned the card, looking at both the back and the front of it. “Molto bene! You did good job, si?” She took out her gift for the girl and handed it to her. "Here, bambina, now open yours."

Roselin nodded vigorously when Carlotta explained that she didn't have to be alone this Christmas. She knew that most other children never had to spend Christmas alone... she use to never have to. In fact, Christmas was the largest event for her of the year! Until her mother died.... but it was better this year. Much better. She had been surrounded by friends of all sorts... it was good.
She then giggled a bit when she agreed to watch a little bit. If watching it was anything like Roselin watching it, then there would not be watching a little. She then watched early for her reaction as the diva opened her card and read it, making her giggle quite a bit when it took her a bit but then finally realize what it had said. She then nodded lots with a wide smile. "Yup! It was really fun to make! Sorry if the pun is too cheesy. And thank you." She laughed. Her eyes then went wide and she happily took the gift from her hands.
Truth be told, she hadn't been expecting any more gifts besides the one she had gotten from Teressa which was closed on her desk next to her bed. Roselin opened up the wrapping and then gasped lightly in awe at the book. Vocal Wisdom. Immediately after reading the title she ran back and hug/glomped Carlotta with a very happy and bubbly smile. "Thank you, thank you thank you! This is really wonderful, really!" She said, now looking at the book once more and smiling then jumping up and down a little bit before carefully placing it on her pillow. She then brought out her comfy computer chair from her desk and placed it next to her big bean bag chair. "Ready to watch it now?" She asked, beaming happily.

For her first Christmas here in this oh so bizarre location, things really weren’t turning out badly so far. She enjoyed the time that she spent with Roselin, and was glad that the two of them could be able to spend Christmas day together and exchange gifts. It was a cute card, and the fact that she’d taken the time to make it was nice. It reminded her a little of the times she used to watch Signore Giapetto in his studio, painting his masterpieces. Perhaps she would have to do art with Roselin sometime as well.
She smiled when Roselin thanked her profusely for the book, and jumped up and down. “That book will tell you about Bel Canto technique—the Italian method of singing.” It was a good book for anybody wanting to learn how to sing. After all, there was a good reason why most of the famous singers, composers, and operas (from her time at least) hailed from Italia.
“Buona Natale!” She nodded when Roselin asked her as to whether or not she were ready to watch the show. She’d never seen it before, ut maybe it would be interesting.

Bel Canto, sounded familiar, perhaps from a movie? Most likely. Roselin grinned wide - making the Cheshire Cat jealous - she would definitely be eager to start reading it. In fact, if they were to take a break from watching the show, perhaps she could start it and maybe even get to ask some questions if she needed too before watching again.
"Well! Pick a chair! Any chair!" Roselin laughed and continued to smile happily. Then she plopped down in the chair that Carlotta had not chosen and started the show up. "Oh... I guess I'll tell you their names just in case you don't catch them at first. The colorful one would be Rainbow Dash. Then the purple one is Twilight Sparkle. She's kind of the intellectual one as Rainbow Dash is basically the jock of the group."] Roselin laughed then continued on.
"Then there is Rarity who's kinda obsessed with clothing and fashion stuff. And my two favorite's are Pinkie Pie and Flutter Shy. Flutter Shy loves animals and is... well... shy and Pinkie Pie is the absolute opposite in that she's very loud." Roselin giggled. "I think Pinkie Pie would be the most fun to hang out with but I like Flutter Shy because she seems so nice. Then again, they're all basically nice. Wait... that's only five. Oh yeah! There's Applejack too! She's super cool too. Kind of the other jock next to Rainbow Dash. Anyways, I guess they explain that all in this episode since this is the first episode. Sorry, I'll stop talking now and let you watch." Roselin laughed.

The prima donna moved over to the plushy computer chair that was in the room and sat, only to discover quite by surprise that the thing was on wheels and swiveled around as well. “Dio!” the woman exclaimed, holding onto the chair for dear life and then looking over at Roselin for a moment in surprise. “What is this thing!?” The woman had never sat in such a chair before, and certainly wasn’t expecting the thing to move as it had. Was it supposed to do that?
Slowly getting over her moment of shock from sitting in the swivel chair, Carlotta looked at the screen full of colorful moving pictures of tiny ponies as Roselin explained the various characters and their general roles in the plot. Jock… Carlotta wasn’t certain what all of this was, but the mere prospect of the moving pictures was so very fascinating. The ‘ponies’ all seemed to be friends, and worked together.
((Dowager Countess moment FTW!))

Roselin for a split second watched in surprise at the shock of the diva but then began to giggle. "You alright there?" she asked rhetorically and continued to giggle for a bit. "It's a swivel chair... or a roller chair.... or a computer chair, plenty of names to pick from," she giggled again. Really, did those kinds of chairs have real names anyways?
The young blonde looked back to the t.v. and watched as the episode progressed. Faster than she had expected, the episode was over and it seemed like it had only been mere minuets since the six ponies had become friends, overcome a monster, then became the watch-ya-mah-call-its and got the powers that match their personalities. She turned to Carlotta before the next episode would start and smiled. "How do ya like it so far?"
