Just before Adina could go over to the other Phantom, she heard a voice. It was Lu! She smiled and gently greeted her with a pleasant handshake and curtsy. "Merry Christmas, Lu. I am very pleased to see you again. Are you having a good time? I think everyone seems to be enjoying the merriment this season. Everything is so lovely."
"Que?" She said, slightly dumbfounded... Erik is pleased to meet the young lady. It was rather obvious that this man was another Erik, but he seemed to speak in the third-person- or at least that was what Adina assumed. But just as she was about to ask him something more, she heard a door open and the squeaky sound of wheels coming from the direction of the threshold...
Another man, wait.... A servant?? Adina's eyes widened. She had not seen him before! He was pushing a cart and serving drinks and other refreshments to the guests. One of the things on the cart that the young woman recognized.... "Gateaux!" She gasped with joy. She had not had French cake for centuries since she had first come to the manor! Eager to taste the delicious confection once more, she excused herself from the odd Erik for a moment to look upon the cart holding the treats. Oh, there were so many things: cakes, egg nog, sandwiches, tarts, and so much more. She looked up at the older gentleman and smiled joyously. "Merry Christmas, monsieur. May I partake in some of these delicious looking delicacies?"

The old woman had enjoyed many a good Christmas in the past, even if they were rather light and with so few people for a gathering. This one she wasn't sure whether to look forward to or not. But rethought at a moment's notice with a absent-minded smile at Christine and her new Husband. She could always find a good in that for she only wanted her adoptive daughter to be happy. If Christine was happy, so was she.
Riding upon her hoveround down to the room where everyone gathered. Rolling into the room to see a good number of people whom she's never met so she glanced about to find her Christine and found her. Guiding the hoveround over to the blonde, smiling as she greeted the young woman," Christine, my dear! A Merery Christmas to you, my dear!" Holding her arms out to her as she came to a stop near the girl.

She was glad to see her son at least keep entertained and was excited at not only receiving a gift but giving one, too! To her, it was bittersweet though. She had Gustave but her little angel, her little girl was not here. It only made her heart ache at the loss. Wishing for another girl but never to take her place. Someday perhaps. "Merry Christmas, Gustave," and leaned down to kiss her son's head and hold him in a loving hug. Smiling as she watched her son light up with excitement at the gift for him. "Perhaps we should wait a little longer, darling. Perhaps others are coming. We wouldn't want them to feel left out." Caressing the boy's head as she watched him a moment. "I'll be here in the room saying Hello to everyone if you need me, Gustave. Your father is here in the room, too." And she did not know how true that so very much was!
Slightly hesitant, she strode away from Gustave and moved to beside Edouard a moment, at least to explain to him that she was going to socialize a little. Hoping to dear God he would not be upset or make a scene. Then decided to ask him if he wished to join her in making the social rounds. It was at this point Lu had made the first social move. Took her a moment but smiled and recognized the rough and tumble American woman. Greeting her and talking to her, being as kindly as she normally is.
With that, she glanced about seeing a few familiar faces including the newly wed Christine whom she figured should be her first. "Merry Christmas, Christine!" as she cheerfully strode up to the blonde Christine. "Or shall I call you also Madame de Chagny!" Grinning from ear to ear that she was no longer the only Madame de Chagny in the Manor now.

Christine turned and looked at William as he stood and spoke, announcing that they should begin the gifting event. He seemed nervous, though she couldn't imagine why? Was it all of these people possibly? Now that she thought about it, she'd never seen him around any large crowds before...
Some more people entered the room, a few of whom she recognized, but not all of those recognitions were good ones. That man... It was the faceless man who had broken into her room that one night, though he looked a bit different than she had remembered. His face wasn't falling off in large chunks... She shrank a little lower into the sofa and tried to hide behind William a little. Now, she suddenly wished even more so than before that Raoul was here...
He didn't seem to be paying her much attention, for which she was very grateful and let out a soft sigh of relief. She prayed that it stayed that way.
As a few more guests filed in, she began to ease up some. Surely with more people around, any situations like the unpleasant one before would be far less likely to happen. Another man whom she recognized walked into the room. It was Comte Philippe (though naturally not the one to whom her husband was kin), whom she had met the other morning, during her preparations for the festival of Sankta Lucia. He smiled at her, and she returned the gesture, but was forced to stifle a gasp when the woman who called her 'Angela' all but attacked him with a hug. She could only assume that the two knew one another, although she got vibes that the relation between the two was perhaps not as pleasant as the woman's greeting would have suggested.
A manservant had entered the room with a cart of refreshments and hors d'œuvres which Christine thought looked rather tasty. Perhaps she would have some later on during the evening, but right now, there was something else, or rather, someone else, who was more important who had caught her attention.
In her little motorized chair, up came her dear adoptive mother. “Mamma!” she exclaimed, her blue eyes instantly lighting up. She pulled herself up from the couch and warmly embraced the old woman. “Merry Christmas! Oh, Mamma, how are you? Did you sleep well? I hope you didn't have any trouble getting your chair through the door. I know that some of them are a bit narrow... Oh! Mamma, there is someone here I'd like you to meet. This is Monsieur William Leverich,” she gestured to will, purposely leaving out the 'king' portion, as it seemed to make him a bit uncomfortable. “He's a friend of mine, though he was unable to attend the wedding... William, this is my mother, Madame Adelaide Valérius.”
Soon after Mamma Valérius had come up to her, another woman, Christine Emilie, who had been her matron of honor at the wedding, also came up and greeted her with a hearty 'Merry Christmas'. “Merry Christmas, Emilie,” Christine said with a warm smile. She chuckled. “Oh, either one is fine by me, really. Thank you so much, again, for being a part of the wedding. Raoul and I cannot thank you enough. And thank you for bringing your son to be ring bearer. You are all well, I trust?”

Teressa ran down the corridor, her green dress billowing out behind her. She hoped she wasn't late. She also hoped that Erik wouldn't be late either...Perhaps he was already there? She ran up to the doors, taking a second to catch her breath before entering. When she opened the doors, she was pleased to see a lot of people here already! She looked around.
Over there, on the sofa with a very attractive man, was the little blonde Christine that Erik had fallen out with...and then there were several other people that she was only slightly acquainted with, and several people she didn't know at all. There was a man, hovering in the room, who looked rather familiar, but she KNEW she'd never seen him before...and then...
Lenoir...he was here...Oh God...they still hadn't talked since she'd seen him with that whore of a woman in the stables...She quickly dashed through the people to the other side of the room from Lenoir. Perhaps they wouldn't talk...her heart broke a little with that thought...perhaps he'd moved on without her...She sighed. It was Christmas. After the holidays, she'd grieve the failure of another relationship.

Billie strode through the halls and came to Ana's suite, knocking on the door waiting for her. Hearing from the other side of the door Ana's response of "Coming!" He stood there waiting, with gift in hand and not really sure about this at all. Gifting was not really his thing. At least Ana helped him out but it was a difficult thing to really do since neither of them knew the recipient. When Ana appeared, "All set?"
Walking with the young woman to this room - where ever it was. He hadn't been at the Manor all that much due to lots of jobs of transporting and other horse related business. Ana was the one who stayed local really.
Finally Billie entered the room, holding the door open for Ana. Looking around, he only really knew one person - besides Ana - in this grand gathering. Inhaling slowly and deeply as he rose his brows a moment. "This'll be interesting," he said softly and gave Ana the gift so it could be set under the tree. With that, he moved towards Lenoir as the half-masked man was pretty much the only person that Billie knew. "Evening and I suppose a Merry Christmas, too," holding out his hand towards Lenoir in greeting. "Good turnout, hmm?"

Christmas Eve! She was utterly excited and had been preparing the majority of the day for this evening gathering. Dressed in a lovely royal blue quarter sleeve cowl neck sweater dress, black denims and black shoes. Her hair all styled, wearing silver bells earrings and necklace and bracelet. Hearing the knock upon her door, thinking it was Billie and sad- "Coming!" With gift in hand, she spritzed herself lightly with Paris Nights perfume and left the suite to see indeed it was Billie waiting for her and she smiled, closing the door. "Shall we?"
Walking down to the large living room with Billie, she was thinking with a huge grin and her mind was tossing around so many different Christmas songs. So curious to see what would happen, how it will all go, who will all be there, and what they will all do.
Billie held the door open and she walked in after Billie, glancing about to see if there was anyone she recognized. Yup! There were a few people already - Lu, Philippe, Lenoir, and a couple Christines, Adina, Raoul. Billie gave her his gift and she took it over to the tree, seeing a darling little boy and smiled at him- "Merry Christmas," she whispered to the boy before she set the gifts under the tree, jingling lightly as she moved.
Straightening up, she glanced about and smoothed out her long sweater then smiled and walked over to stand beside Billie and Lenoir. "Evening, and Merry Christmas Eve, Lenoir." grinning at him before she gave him a hug. "Eager to see what you got?"

Post by Meg "Oh! La La" Giry on Dec 21, 2012 0:11:34 GMT -5
Meg woke up very happy that morning, for she did love Christmas Eve. Her only wish was that her mother was there to spend it with her, as well as Mister Y... Though spending Christmas with him was never possible anyway. So her mother was what she needed. If she'd been there, Madame Giry would have been in for such a surprise at the time Meg got up, since the woman usually slept in late when she could. She thought it might make her proud. So, using the resources in her acquired closet, Meg dolled herself up that afternoon for the Christmas party. She wore a warm ivory sweater dress with a black belt, her hair pulled back in a high ponytail like she'd seen the women on that 'television' do. Around the ponytail was a faux braid that she'd bought in town that was the same color as her hair, which she thought was rather nifty. She wore a red Christmas bow to pin back part of the long bangs that she'd cut for herself, to make her hair look more fashionable. She wore dark dark blue jeans that were tight, but boot cut underneath her dress, as well as high heeled black boots for the winter season. She also wore a very festive red holiday bracelet she'd also picked up in town when she'd gotten her Secret Santa gift. She did her makeup rather modest, but wore bright red lipstick, and painted her nails the same color, to give it that extra POP! Now she was nearing the room she was to enter for the event, and she began to have butterflies in her stomach. Christine was going to be there, she knew, and so was the Vicomte, among others... What was she to do if she got caught in a sticky situation? Play it cool, of course, but her patience could only be stretched so thin... She entered the room following an elder gentleman and a much younger, attractive brunette woman whom she didn't know. She scanned the room, immediately setting her sights on Christine and her family. She also saw the younger Christine whom she'd help get ready for her lovely wedding, and a couple of people she'd seen at that wedding. There was also... Wait... That woman looked just like Christine! Was she the younger counterpart, like Lenoir...? Speaking of Lenoir, she saw him too, but she tried her best to gravitate away from him. She decided to walk around the mass of people mingling and move to the fireplace where the tree was set up, and where she might speak with the de Chagny's, but instead she bumped into something rather tall and soft, that resembled a person. She hadn't noticed him by the wall... When she turned around, her jaw dropped. "M-Mister Y?!"

Claude did not care for such festivities. In fact, he downright hated these times of merriment. But he needed to come out because of that damned list. He slipped into the room and looked about at all the people... Disgusting. But he had to because of the list.
The demon set down his gift and moved to the back of room to survey the scene and then-... There she was. "Teressa," He softly whispered. Then he caught a glimpse of Destler in the room. Ah, his old servant; now this would be enjoyable. And who was this? The pretty little maid? Ah, yes... He nearly forgot about her; he had brought her back to life and see seemed to be enjoying it. Perhaps he would let her live for a little while longer. After all, his powers were already waning with the Christmas cheer in full swing. He only looked upon the scene before him and exhaled deeply.
This was going to be very interesting...

Slowly he had been wandering about the room, taking in the scene of people entering and socializing. No longer was it a quiet room but bustling with holiday cheer. Moving to the refreshments cart, picking up something to drink, and noticed Teressa. He smiled curious to see what the alabaster beauty thought of him now.
With drink in hand, he walked up casually to Teressa. "Merry Christmas to you, Teressa," in a mock toast with his drink and smiled at her. Wondering if ever she will recognize him with his new look.

Erik was amazed at the people he didn't know who were in the room. That many people in one place was makiing Erik feel rather anxioius. He had developed a somewhat outgoing personality lately, but usually he was only with a few people at once. He forced himself to become calm. After all, if he was to run the opera house as he had boaasted to so many people, he had better get over this anxiety. So he took a deep breath.
The dark haired girl in the green satin dress with black lace looked so familiar, and then he realized it was Lu, the strange American western woman. He had met her in the kitchen several times. He would speak to her later.
He saw more people enter. Alfred came over to ask if he wanted anything to eat or drink. Erik smiled and greeted the servant then asked for a cup of punch. He saw a man that at first he hadn't recognized...but it was Destler... and he looked as if he had acquired a new face...he looked normal as anyone else. For a moment, Erik felt a bit of jealousy, and then a little fear crept into his heart. Surely that was one more thing that awould make Teressa take Destler over Erik.
Then he saw the beautiful girl in question enter the room. It was Teressa. She looked beautiful...a dream...but he turned his face away. He could not bear to look at her ... he had hurt her too badly and he just knew she would never forgive him.

Roselin rushed, as she seemed to have been doing recently. So many fun things all in one month! A marriage, a Secret Santa, and Christmas! All so much fun and different. She couldn't wait for everything! She came running through the halls, wearing a long green shirt, a red open vest, black pants, black ballet flats, and a little holly clip in her hair as a final touch. And then of course, the green and red scarf her mother gave to her.
She finally came bursting into the room. There were quite a few people here! Some she had met, most others she hadn't! "Happy holidays all!" She said loudly to everyone then skipped through and moved herself to the outskirts some, smiling like a fool, her eyes wide and looking around excitedly. How was this all going to work? Oh it was just all to exciting to bear! Roselin was practically jumping up and down, waiting in anticipation for when the present opening would commence.

Erik sat in front of the mirror, taking his time. He was never one to really rush to much. He wore a mask that his father had given to him one Christmas time. It was white, like his usual mask, had holly on the top right corner of the mask and gold around the outer rim of the mask. He powdered the bottom of his face some as the red was starting to show once again. It was quickly covered and he sighed.
Erik then stood and paced a little then put on a dark green velvet vest on and his traditional black tailcoat. Everything else about his outfit was also the same as usual. He draped his cape effortlessly over his shoulders and grabbed one of his sleek black canes. He looked in the mirror one more time and nodded briefly, satisfied with his outfit. He then swiftly went to the door that led to the elevator, completely at ease as the doors slid open and he walked in and pressed the button for the ground floor. The out he walked into the maze of halls that would eventually lead to the room crowded with people.
On the way there, he wondered what gift he would receive and if the person he was the secret Santa too would enjoy the gift. Erik finally entered the room, then quickly kept to the edges. It was a rather large crowd for Erik. Sure he had watched many-many more people climb up the stairs of the opera house but he never actually had to be in one. He sighed and finally he started to walk through. He dipped his head some to the people as he passed by. Where was he going. He paused and looked around for a moment, feeling rather lost. Who could he speak to? Really, there were plenty here to talk to but... Then he heard the jingling of bells. Erik turned and saw Ana speaking calmly to Lenoir which brought a light smile to his face. It was good to see that they weren't fighting, at least for the holiday.

Erik sauntered over to the doors to the event, wearing a sceptical looking expression beneath his mask. He sighed. He hoped his recipient would enjoy everything he'd bought...He really did. He also wondered what in the world his Secret Santa would get him. He didn't really want much, and he certainly didn't want anything that wouldn't suit him...But, if it came down to it, he'd accept it with thanks anyway.
He entered the room, looking around at the multitude of people. Teressa was talking to a strange man he'd never seen before, and Christine was sitting on a sofa. He gravitated over to Teressa, keeping watch over Christine and the stranger. If he did anything funny...if he even so much as LOOKED at her with ill intent...
He sighed. Christmas was not the time to make trouble, especially after their falling out....But if he had to protect her, he wouldn't hold back.

Gustave was very eager to open his present. It even had a candy cane on top! Oh, It was surely a marvelous present indeed! And after he had opened it, he would also have a sweet treat to eat along with it! He waited impatiently for an answer to his question as to whether or not he was allowed to open it yet, when there came a voice from across the room that caused him to turn.
Everyone, Gustave's found his present! Shall we begin the exchange?
The little brown eyes of the ten-year-old boy lit up with excitement at this. He didn't know who that man was, or how he knew his name, but he didn't really care, so long as he was getting to open his present.
Taking this suggestion from the mystery man as an okay to go ahead and start, the little boy tore into the layers of blue tissue paper, cracking the hook of the candy cane a little in the process. He was too excited to notice though, and honestly, he would have been happy to eat the sugary treat anyway, even if it was a little broken.
He got through the layers of tissue paper and twine to find a black case of a somewhat familiar-looking shape. Could it possibly be...? Carefully, he opened the case, and when he saw what was inside, his eyes widened in glee.
“Oh! Oh! It's a new violin!” The boy exclaimed excitedly. He was almost afraid to touch it, for fear that he would harm the thing. It was such a beautiful instrument! He carefully ran his finger over the neck of the carved wooden thing. He had no idea though that he was supposed to guess who it was from. No one had mentioned it at all. Besides, he was far too wrapped up in the excitement of the moment to even care to guess unless someone should ask him to. After all, this was his very first Secret Santa...
