((I figured that I would make this in advance, since you're almost up to enough posts with Meg and then will be making Erik. *nods lots* It also gives me something to do at the moment, though after this, I think that I'm going to go do the February prompt, even though it would be late. XD My application wasn't accepted until I think February 29th, so... I think that can be forgiven. If not, oh well. It relieves boredom either way...))
Christine walked into her dressing-room. Well, it wasn't really hers, but rather the dressing-room that she had been lent for use.The evening before had been her first ever role at the Opéra Garnier. It was a new production of Faust (an opera which the company played quite often) in which she played the role of Siebel, a young boy who had fallen in love with the beautiful Marguerite.
There were still many flowers in the dressing room. She wasn't sure where all of them had come from. Apparently they were from various subscribers to the Opéra. Christine liked flowers -- she liked them a lot -- but she didn't really feel like she had earned any of these flowers. She sang. That was it. There was nothing extravagant. She didn't give anyone chills with her voice, or play an attractive young woman, or anything, really. She was a boy who picked some flowers. And her reward was more flowers. Ironic.
Christine sat down at the vanity and heaved a sigh. It was a simply furnished little dressing room: a vanity, a small table with a couple of chairs, a few cupbords, racks for the costumes, an inner room for changing, and a large mirror against one of the walls that stood about the height of a man.
Christine stared over at her reflection in the mirror.
"What am I even doing here?" she sighed to herself. "I don't belong here. I don't even want to be here. Why can't Mamma just see that music isn't the same any more without Daddy here... Who am I kidding? I'd be better off becoming nun at this rate..."
((Will continue with the singing to make it fit the history for Erik after you post when you finally finish making him XD ))
