Manor Ghost

[Maria Chevau]

Maria Chevau is a poltergeist. She came to the manor with the antique dollhouse that she'd owned as a kid. She really only knows the bones of the Phantom of the Opera story, as while she lent her power to their creation she could only be bothered with reading the one book. She is pretty playful, and loves hanging out with others. She finds it a nuisance to be stuck in the house, and has claimed the attic to sulk in when she's in a bad mood.

She enjoys doing hauntings as she finds them quite ironic. Of course, that's only if she's in the mood. Sometimes she just watches. She can take on a corporeal like form where she can look like an average human teenager, but during that time she can only touch the living, passing through everything else.

So some thread ideas! I would love a thread with one of the Phantom couples, perhaps they're on a date and Maria decides to pop in and be completely immature. She could be caught on one of her good days where she's actually willing to use her ability to help others-in exchange for either a game or a riddle. Something where she's actually being a poltergeist and throwing stuff around would be fun, along with Maria on one of her dark days where she's most likely sulking or throwing a tantrum depending on how upset she is about being dead.

Any other ideas are welcome too. I would love her to actually be friends with a couple ghosts, maybe someone to be a kind of mentor to step in when she starts getting violent.

Hi Blacksheep! I'd love to be able to plot with you sometime. I do have a ghost, but a) he's currently out of commission until I finish up one of his older threads, and b) he's not exactly very fond of females, so I'm not certain they would get along very well I also play Christine from the original book (which would be interesting to do eventually) but again, she's held up with a couple of old threads right now too... Though she has a couple open threads up if you'd like to try to plot around one of those

As for who CAN plot right now, I have 4 characters, all of which I'd be more than happy to plot with you: the Siren (my Leroux-esque original character who isn't exactly people friendly, but might be interesting to see with a ghost), Carlotta Celestia Giudicelli (from the Webber stage musical), Gustave de Chagny (from Love Never Dies), and Christine Svenna Daaé (also from the Webber musical).

You said something about wanting to have Maria maybe crash a date sometime... well, actually Leroux Christine ("Blondie")is currently married and 5 and a half months pregnant, and "Svenna" is currently engaged. However, the typist who plays both of their Raouls is currently on a hiatus, so that would have to wait a bit unfortunately, and we'd have to discuss it with the other typist as well.

...surprisingly though, I think that Maria and Svenna might get along fairly well. Christine Svenna is known for... well... being a bit out there. She's not exactly the more appropriate a good portion of the time, and can be rather obnoxious.

Gustave, we might be able to work something out where he's perhaps found her dollhouse and plays with it. I'm not sure how Maria reacts to children, but it might be interesting to see. What do you say to any of these?

Hey Blacksheep! It's me, Leffie, the admin! First off, I want to welcome you to the site! It's great to have you, and I hope you enjoy yourself! Secondly, I would of course love to plot with you, xD

Only two of my three active characters are active, as Erik, the original Phantom of the Opera, is indisposed because of a very old thread, but I'm working on finishing that up. Of my other two characters, Meg "Oh! La La" Giry is a rather talkative, but deceptive woman. She's born french but highly americanized, and can be abrasive in her manner of dress and speech. She is secretly a sweetheart though, ;D Out of my characters Meg is the only one to have met a ghost, and that ghost was terrifying to her, so she probably doesn't trust them too easily, which is excellent.

My other character, Philippe Maurice de Chagny, is a Count and is stuck in the traditions his class had set in his own time. He's the brother of Raoul Christophe de Chagny, who is Christine Svenna's fiance, and Philippe does not approve of his brother's choice. Philippe, even though he may seem like a total jerk at first, is actually very kind hearted, he just doesn't know how to express himself in a non-formal way, do to his tumultuous childhood and upbringing. He is an equestrian, and usually rides his horse Aleta nearly every day. I have no idea how he'd fair next to a ghost, so if you want to put him in a thread with Maria, you're perfectly welcome to and we'll see how he reacts! He may take pity on her, actually, after he's finished getting the perfectly tailored pants scared off of him. ;D

I also have another character coming up soon by the name of Erik Destler. I'm not finished with him yet, but he's from the 1989 version of the story, and is a demon of sorts. He sold his soul to the devil in exchange for his music being eternal, like Mozart, but instead he became immortal and his music sank into obscurity. He doesn't scare easily, in fact he scares other people more often, so perhaps it would be more interesting for Maria and Destler to form a bond? He does like pulling tricks on people!

I'm open for anything! And once my Spectre is finished with that one thread I'll be able to plot with him as well!

The Gustave thread sounds like a brilliant idea, though I'm not sure how she'll react to a kid. The siren would definitely be interesting, as Maria would most likely be as interested in the siren as the siren would be in her. I can see Maria teasing Carlotta. Perhaps she decides to mess with the diva's hair, or keep moving her stuff around?

Leffie:
Maria would most likely be trapped between hating Meg and liking her. She would hate to see how Meg's being used by Mr. Y, and her stupid devotion, but would also probably enjoy Meg's wild air. Maria might play the part of an angel or ghost if she thinks it would be amusing with Meg. It might change into affection. Philippe sounds really cool, and exactly the kind of person Maria would be suspicious of. She'd likely stalk the guy waiting for him to hurt someone.

A thread with Erik also sounds awesome.

Hahaha! I like the idea of the one with Carlotta. The only "ghost" she's encountered before was the opera ghost trying to drop a backdrop on her, so it would be an interesting experience! Maybe we could start with this thread for now and then wait until we have a little bit better an idea of what we want to happen for the ones with Maria with Gustave and the Siren? What say you?

Hello Maria! It's so great to see more ghosts around the manor. I have three characters on here: two ghosts and one villager.

My first ghost is a young French maid, Adina Gillespie, from the era of the Black Plague. She had a troubling past because her father was terribly cruel towards her. She is usually timid but isn't afraid to speak her mind if she is wronged or if someone does something wrong. Otherwise, Adina is very quiet and tends to keep to herself.

My second ghost is Claude Delacroix, but he's more commonly referred to as the Devil. He basically likes to terrorize and make deals with the manor residents just to mess with them. He can come off as quite a gentleman but he can inadvertently change into his true form if he is mad. Best stay clear of him for the most part.

And my last character is villager Daniel Turner. He has a very sordid past... He is an archeologist and studies artifacts and other historical items. He made a discovery that changed his life. He was thrown into the world of monsters and otherworldly demons before escaping and moving to the village. He now lives in the manor and is anxious to meet some of the ghosts and residents of the manor.

Well...if Daniel's new to the manor I can see Maria being put out with it. She likes the phantom cast but she's not so sure how she feels about humans. Perhaps she ends up in one of Daniel's dreams warning him off or some such?

Adina perhaps could come across Maria when she's in the middle of destroying one of the rooms?

Hello! I am Alice and I would absolutely love to thread with Maria! I am not actually able to start a new thread with any of my characters yet till I get them all caught up (I have 6 with one leaving and two coming). The one I am most interested in throwing in is my Cannon Phantom, Erik Carriere from the 1990 mini-series. He's been here since last March and he has yet to meet a ghost, despite all of the sitings from everyone else.

However, if you'd like, I have other characters too. Like Roselin who is a 15 year old girl who moved into the manor from the village since her father neglected her and has yet to turn up in the news papers (imeanwutidin'tjustgiveanythingawayforothermemberswhoknowroselin) and her adopted parents are the 1986 Erik and Carlotta. XD

Then I have Carlotta from the 1911 book. She's one of the farthest behind though just because she has a lot of plottage and threads already with her Christine. But we couls still set something up for them in the future, like they all might be set up at the end of the month or early July. (Since I have summer school and its taking a bit to be able to post back for now)

Then I have Gunner who is my OC Phantom. He is one of my least active but hes a western version of the phantom and its always nice to be able to keep him up (which I haven't lately but like I said, will change near the end of the month and such.)

And almost last but not least, Raoul Ace de Chagny from the 1925 phantom. I only have one thread with him by my muse with him is kind of difficult which makes it kinda harder with posting but I'll get better once I get in the swing of things with him.

Now I have a OC Christine in progress who is named Christine Ruby White and she is a psychopathic killer from Japan. And once the shop here is up and I am caught up with all my characters and I am able to make a 7th character, I will be making another ghost named Alice. I have yet to know anything about her or anything but yeah.... give me a heads up if you want to do any threads with anyone in the not too far future! ^^

Maria would like to meet Roselin, since she's close to Maria's age. Perhaps she can convince Roselin that she's actually alive, that'd be interesting.

Erik sounds pretty cool, do you got anything specific in mind for them?

A thread with her and Christine would be tons of fun as Maria would most likely be attempting to kill or torment Christine-she doesn't differentiate much between those she sees as guilty.

Whoo! Can't wait! And knowing Roselin... it wont take much at all to convince her. And for Erik... I wasn't too sure. I was thinking that he would either really get along with her (since they both sort of have the same childish tantrums and kind of seem alike) or the complete opposite and scare the crap out of him. XD Yes, it would be interesting to see the tables turned on Christine once again in that area lol.

I like that for Meg! She isn't all that superstitious, not after The Phantom of the Opera turned out to be a man (Mister Y), but ever since she met that last poltergeist she's been wary. I would like the two of them to thread though! :3 Meg is usually the one people talk to about their problems, so maybe eventually Maria and Meg can talk, rather than one haunt the other. ;D

I know you really love Philippe (as do I!) and would love to see him thread. He wouldn't necessarily hurt anyone, he's not that kind of guy, but I can see that Maria might mistake him for one. He is short with some people, but he generally wants to make people happy. Maria in her predisposition about the upperclass might not like him at all! xD

We can definitely thread with either Erik when they become available. :3
