"Quite the contrary" he stated firmly before the woman’s words had quite the chance to end. The man shook his head, keeping pale orbs locked on the lifeless crucifix of Christ. Oh, the joys of their little conversation, hm? It was easy tell from the words of the gentle seeming spirit that he was upsetting her, but feeling of reasons to cease were little to naught. Truly, it wasn't an intention of his to start the sparring of words...but it was her fault for continuing, was it not?
“Peace was exactly what I was searching for and, in fact, precisely what I found. Until, of course, I was graced by the presence of a yellow tressed female" the ghost smirked, adding on coolly beneath his breath-- in a near joking manner, if it weren't for the horrid grounds they stood upon as acquaintances, "...whom of which I shall keep anonymous."

Christine was not certain whether the man was insulting her, or paying her a compliment. His words and his tone didn’t always match up, so it was difficult to distinguish his true intentions in his speech patterns.
The girl merely buried her face in her hands, still bent down before the altar. Her black veils fell, obscuring her face even more so. All that she had wanted in coming here was to feel safe--safe from the horrors and demons that had confronted her the previous evening...
