Carlotta's face turned ever so slightly a shade red. How dare she refuse? She had shown her all this kindness and the blonde turned down like she was a peasant! Well, Carlotta will not be treated like such and will not be treated with such grotesque treatment. She had asked for something so simple; Christine couldn't even do such a little request that she asked for!
"Well then, suppose we could go do something else... surely you don't want to be standing around while there is so little people out to listen. We could always come back when there are more people. In the mean time, perhaps there is a pleasant place you know around the manor that you could show me too. Perhaps a place that has no people, or at least that imposter I met. Oh I will have to tell you all about that, it was so horrible." She said in a dramatic tone, though of course, she wouldn't tell all about what happened with that Italian woman.

((eh, she'll snap next soon XD too good of conversation opportunity here.))
Christine pressed her fingers to her temples and rubbed a bit in frustration. Had she been unclear in the fact that she was not going to leave this spot? She wasn't sure how much longer she could keep at this. It was making her head begin to hurt...
“I don't think you understand that I have to stay here. If you wish to leave, you are more than welcome, but I cannot. And honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if you met other's by the name of Carlotta. I have met bout five other people all claiming to be 'Christine Daaé.' Oddly enough, I also came across someone who thought that I was you, which was rather... awkward to say the least.”

Carlotta listened to Christine, her face at first starting to turn red a bit but then it quickly returned back to its original color as her smile did not wave. Someone thought Christine was her? Well, she didn't know if that meant it was a compliment to Christine or a insult to herself. But then she thought to what Christine said before and spoke of that, not excluding Christine's comment on someone thinking she looked like Carlotta.
"Oh no, I don't think I'll leave quite yet alone. Christine, how dose it not surprise you that I have met others here by my name? And I saw in the dorms where my room is that there were quite a few doors with your name on it. I never imagined that there could be so many Christine Daae's in one place." She sneered ever so slightly, she hadn't been all together happy to see so many doors with Christine's name on them, it was like drowning in a pool of black water. The horrid name absolutely everywhere. "And awkward indeed your... situation sounds like it was..." She said smiling.

Christine pursed her lips together a little and let out a soft, irritated sigh. She could have sworn she had just explained this to Carlotta, though it was evident that she hadn't fully listened. She knew that she should not have been too terribly surprised. 'Not listening' was something that somehow seemed to fit her rival rather well.
“I was not surprised because I have experienced the same situation so many times myself while here. You yourself saw all of the doors, the only difference with which, for many, was the addition of some sort of a unique middle name... I assumed that there would be other 'Carlottas' here as well because someone mistook me for 'Carlotta.' Seeing as the two of us are in absolutely no way alike other than the fact that we are both sopranos and have both worked in the Garnier, it seemed like the only reasonable explanation.”

"Perhaps... though why there are others with our names here is absolutely beyond me. Oh that woman I met though... she was so dreadfully rude. One of the worst people I have ever met in my life thus far." Carlotta said, sighing and glaring slightly at an empty space, thinking of that horrible red headed Italian woman. The encounter had been so bad, when she had looked into the mirror that night, she caught a glimpse in the mirror and her eyes had been that wretched green!
"Do tell me Christine... what others have you met that have similar names? Were those encounters at all pleasant?" She asked, not really caring to hear the answer. If they were anything like this Christine, she wanted nothing to do with the others. Just one big boiling pot of idiots! Of course - Carlotta was the only one who was not an idiot and was the only one so far who had her head screwed on right. Carlotta then sighed slightly in a board manor then smiled at Christine. "Say, you said you haven't seen the village, why don't we walk and explore it a little?" She said with a sparkle in her eye. She really did want to explore a bit... though Christine was not exactly at the top of her list... but she would do if it would improve their 'friendship'.

Christine could not help but to smile a little to herself, inwardly, when Carlotta told her how dreadfully rude this other Carlotta was. She couldn't possibly have guessed that would be the case. After all, La Carlotta had clearly never done anything 'rude' in her life, particularly not creating and spreading rumors and attempting to cause her endless unpleasantries before that fateful evening when the chandelier had crashed... “Oh, it must have been simply horrid,” she said plainly, concealing her own thoughts upon the matter.
“As to the others whom I personally have encountered, there were a few that were quite pleasant. Others.... well... not so much. There are a couple of them I would most certainly prefer to never have to speak to again if it can be helped... They all have different middle names though, which makes them easier to distinguish. There was one called Emilie, and one called Nicole, and Joy and Ellen... quite a few...” And then Christine paled a little. Say, you said you haven't seen the village, why don't we walk and explore it a little? “I... I would prefer not, if it's all the same to you. I... I'm not very.... fond of the village...”

Carlotta listened to Christine with little interest. Some good Christines, some bad ones. But the way Carlotta saw it, they were all probably horrible, thirsty to steal the stage from her, take her audience away from her. Oh she had a great big feeling that she was not going to enjoy her short stay here at all. For this stay must be absolutely short, she wouldn't survive it any other way.
Carlotta then narrowed her eyes at the blonde ever so slightly when she stuttered. What was there that she was so afraid of? Oh she shouldn't expected Christine to have some backbone anyways. Of course, Carlotta was the only one who seemed to have some sense and courage around here. "I promise Christine, it will be alright with me. What is there to be afraid of? Surely a little walk wont hurt you a bit. I really must protest to walking alone, it would be a great pleasure if you would so come with me. Es mejor estar con la gente, entonces es estar solo." She said, battering her eyelashes some.

((Suckish post is suckish sorry)) I promise Christine, it will be alright with me. The promise of that woman!? Ha! What good was that worth? If she had a reputation for honesty, then surely Christine would not have had to suffer at her hand due to the woman spreading falsehoods about her.. The girl closed her eyes for a moment, inhaling sharply, before they fluttered open again to look upon her rival. She then bit her lips together a moment before firmly responding. “ No. No, and that is my final answer. I have obligations that must be attended to here. Inn face, even venturing out this far into the village was only out of necessity, and I most certainly would prefer not to have to go any further unless it is to the station to go home.”

No. The word was like nails on a chalkboard. How dare the little cerdo refuse her! Christine was now teetering very dangerously on an edge. Carlotta stared at her for a moment, trying so hard to keep the coldness from her eyes. But then she saw something... there was a fuse in Christine that was slowly wearing away... Now all she needed to do was to ride on persistence and she would very soon get her own way, as she always did.
"Come Christine, you know that I rather dislike this disagreement. Yes, we may have our little walk to the manor if you please, and then you can return. In fact, if you wish, I will escort you right back to this very spot. He oído que es bastante agradable aquí en esta época del año. It wont take too long. Come on, this is a little childish, refusing a little walk with poor Carlotta. I only wish to make amends." She said, smiling a little. Oh yes, all she needed to do was to make Christine go weak and Carlotta would be able to make her do just about anything she wanted, like a little doll. She just needed to ware her out and not care anymore. To not think. And then Carlotta will win. She always does.

((I apologize in advance if I'm semi repetitive. This is one of the threads it's hard for me to read on this computer, so I'm not entirely sure of what I posted last )) Christine regarded her colleague with a sort of a hurt distrust. “ I would not call putting ones obligations before outings to be particularly childish. I will go for a short while, but I really must be continuing and cannot be out too late.” After all, she didn't know the village very well, and did not know how safe it would be after certain hours. She heaved a sigh and began to collect her things. She really didn't understand what could possibly have inspired Carlotta to suddenly spend so much unnecessary time with her. “ Out of curiosity,” she asked, “ What has inspired this 'wanting to make amends'?”

Carlotta smiled with glee that Christine had finally folded in. "Oh I apologize, childish is definitely the wrong word." She said, looking so innocent. "I am glad you have decided to come with me. Tell you what, you can even lead the walk if you'd like. We could just walk around the block if you'd like." She sounded sweetly while battering her eyelashes.
Then as Christine began to pack up, she then asked why Carlotta wanted to make amends. She bit her lip for a moment, thinking of a beginning to her improvisation. She then smiled 'sweetly'. "Well, I just figured that since I am in this... rather new and strange place, it would be a good time to do something better than to.... be very rude to you. Plus, you seem to have been here a little longer, it wouldn't hurt to be around someone who has a little more.... experience with the place. Right?" She asked, smiling, that that she actually cared for the answer.

Christine really wasn’t too sure about this whole idea of Carlotta’s. To start with, La Carlotta had never been particularly fond of Christine, especially as of late, so to have her suddenly wish to take walk together and have lunch caused just the slightest bit of concern for Christine. What was she up to? And furthermore, Christine really did need to try to earn the extra money. But apparently trying to reason would not do. If it came down to that point, Christine would just have to walk away, back to her street corner, and begin her busking afresh. “No, it’s quite all right. You go on and lead. I’ve only been here once before and it wasn’t exactly a leisure trip…”
Christine walked by Carlotta a bit, pursing her lips when Carlotta answered her question of why she would suddenly want to be friends. So it was circumstance… Nothing more, nothing less. Christine should have figured as much, though she supposed it was somewhat of a nice change. After all, it was better than the horrid things the woman had said about her in Paris just before the evening when the chandelier had fallen. “I suppose…” she said simple, not wishing to comment any further upon the matter.

As they walked, Carlotta looked on happily and curiously at everything. Things were fairly different to the places she knew and had ever been too. It was strange but exciting, and all in all - she liked it. As much as she hated being thrown out of her own life into some place she didn't know, she could almost enjoy the bit of change in scenery.
She then thought for a moment before smiling at Christine again, and starting up conversation. "You spoke of a wedding, yes? More specifically, your own... Do you have any idea what its going to be like. I've only been to a few weddings but they are always so pretty. I am sure yours will be just as nice, even if you have to have it here, yes? Or is there somewhere else your going to hold it?" She asked, sounding like some old friend excited for her friend. Sounding.

Christine passed through the village with her rather unlikely companion. This was not the way she had intended to spend the day, but if a few moments would prevent any further displeasure between the two for that day, then it was well worth it. Things were difficult enough at the moment without this being figured in as well.
“It’s… going to be rather small,” she said answering the question, hoping a bit that her rival would not press any further. After all, since when had La Carlotta had any interest in her personal or social life other than attempting to ruin them? “We would have preferred to have had it closer to home, but it would seem that it’s going to be in the Manor, more likely than not…”
