"It is very peaceful here. I find my own home to be very peaceful too. Home is where you feel the most comfortable and at peace. And it is very gracious of you to have brought me here to your peaceful place."
Erik smiled when Carrière spoke about how he had created the Dreamery, starting from when he was only 10 years old. "You must have architecture and building in your blood, as I have. I built my own home, although it was many years later that I did so, after having first built many edifices overseas." Erik paused. "Indeed, I think a man's home says much about him." Erik wondered when Carrière mentioned that there was no life in the place before he had added the very unreal trees and animals. It seemed to him there was still no life there. However, Carrieère's gentle personality provided the life. And perhaps the man would not be comfortable with real animals and plants in his lair. Where would they find light to grow? It was unlikely they would flourish here. But still, it was the man's home and he loved it. "I think you have created a world that is peaceful and reflects what you wish it to be. Your personality indeed, seems to be the life in this place."
Carrière continued to lead the way. Erik had not found any of the other Eriks to be as congenial as this one. He was happy that he had found a friend that he could communicate with and accepted him for what he was, just as Erik accepted Carrière for what he was.

"Thank you." Erik said happily when Lenoir complimented his Dreamery, that it was peaceful. And it really ways, it was the place he went to most often when he was agitated and needed somewhere to think and breath. "I am very happy to know you like my Dreamery. I had always believed that perhaps if someone 'normal' were to see it, they would see me more human than most would, if they were to ever see my face."
Erik chuckled slightly when Lenoir said that he must have architecture and building in his blood. "Perhaps, or I just read too many books on it for my own good." He then listened happily as the other masked man spoke of his own architectural adventures. He wondered what he could build over seas. I fact, he wondered what over seas even looked like since he hadn't been anywhere but the Paris Opera House and now of course the manor. He then wondered what his home said about him, as Lenoir said that a home does.
Lenoir then said that he thought that Erik had created a world that was peaceful and reflected what he wished it to be. Erik smiled, those were some of the exact words he had made for the place himself. It was what you wished it to be. "Thank you, my friend." He said, smiling, when Lenoir also said that his personality was the life in the place. Erik continued to walk with Lenoir through his Dreamery, eventually coming to a little spot that was a large pond with actual water and 'ducks' in the pond. Erik smiled, imagining being at a real pond with real swimming ducks. He shrugged it off and continued to walk. "Well, this is about all that my domain is. We could continue to explore my Dreamery or if you wish you could continue about your day. I think I am going to stay here though... and get use to the fact that my home is in this strange manor place." He said, laughing a little.

"It is rather splendid, I think, that we are able to live in our own homes within the mansion. It has made me very happy to be able to live in the home I created for myself. If I had to live in a cramped suite as many of the others do, I should be quite unsettled." He paused. "And for that matter, we are allowed the freedom of the house and grounds. I would not be as pleased except that in Paris...well, let us say that I would have had to leave the city and my home behind. The only thing I am missing is the opera house. The one here is so dilapidated it shall take quite some doing to put it right. The work of course has begun, but I miss the beautiful music that I used to hear from up in my own Box Five."
"However, hopefully soon the opera house will be ready and we can begin to plan for our productions. I have people coming from the village to do some of the renovations. They have already installed a new electrified chandelier that I have chosen. I hope you have seen it. And my offer still stands to join me in managing and producing opera, ballet and other productions. You are the only one I can really trust with this responsibility. The rest of them..." Erik rolled his eyes.
"So do you have an actual edifice built down here among all the scenery and quietness? I would love to see it someday...."

Erik nodded in agreement, although he wasn't sure if he would mind a suite or not, he was glad that he got to keep his home - he probably would have frightfully unhappy if he had lost everything he had connected to the opera house, strange as the place was. If what he had heard so far from everyone was true, the he could quite possibly be staying for quite a while.
And he listened carefully when Lenoir spoke of their freedom. He couldn't quite completely agree with that yet even though all three people he had met so far were alright with his mask. However he could agree with missing the opera house, even if they may be different opera houses. Erik chuckled slightly. "Interesting that we even have our own box fives that we like to keep to ourselves." He said, actually amused by the thought and connection.
He was interested that people in the village would also be coming to help with the renovation, of course, they will need all the help they could get. "I have not actually seen the Opera House quite yet but I can assure you it is at the top of my list. As for your trust in me, I am very honored." He said smiling. It was true, Gerard was the only one who ever really trusted Erik with anything. And the second closest person to trust him was Jean-Claude but that was a very-very fine line. Lenoir then asked if Erik had any sort of building inside his Dreamery. "In fact, I do. Its a very small plain two room house. I will love to show it to you someday." He said happily.

Erik was delighted that Carrière was such a congenial fellow, as most of the other Eriks he had met were not. He really didn't like any of the ones he had met other than this tall fellow. And he liked his amazing home too; it spoke of a lot of creativity.
"M. Carrière, I am quite taken with your home. And I hope that we shall be meeting soon so that I can give you a tour of the Opera House, such as it is at the present time. But it has potential. The thought of producing operas, ballets and other beautiful works of art fills me with excitement and I hope you are as enthusiastic."
Erik pulled out his pocket watch to check the time. "I must be getting back. I shall look forward to seeing your home, Carrière, at some future time, hopefully soon. I can find my way back to the mansion." He held out his hand to shake Carrière's hand. "I am quite happy to have had this time to speak to you and to tour your realm. It is lovely indeed. Good evening." With a smile Erik turned back and found his way through the Dreamery, back to the Mansion.
