Christine took the paper, pencil, and dictionary from Roselin and read her note carefully. She couldn't help but to smile when she asked about the wedding. Her smile faded a bit, however, when she read about Érik again... Se was right in one thing. He should have contacted her by now, which was what worried her so much. She took the pencil and the paper and began writing again.
Do not feel bad. The only weddings I'd been to when I was your age were weddings that my father had played at when I was a little child and we were still living in Sweden... As to a date, it may sound silly, but Raoul and I were thinking perhaps just between our birthdays, as a sort of gift to each other. If that were the case, it would be on the twenty-seventh October, she wrote, the language barrier getting a bit in the way of grammar. We can only hope though. We haven't been able to plan much at all. We don't know where we would get married, or who would marry us... And no, he hasn't contacted me, which is what frightens me so. I do not know where he is or what he is doing, or even if he has seen Raoul here...

Roselin read what she wrote, excited. Between their birthdays? That would be so cool! It was so weird, but of course, so flipping awesome that their birthdays just happened to be so close enough! It really was almost like a fairytale. Christine also seemed to be in a bit of a blip, but also in a good situation.
I think it would be amazing if you got married between your birthdays! She began to write back with a grin. As for Erik... if he dose know... I don't think he would do anything during it. He might be to overwhelmed to do that. But once he realized that your happier with Raoul... I don't think he'll fight it. After all, he just wants you to be happy. That was and wasn't true. Erik wanted her to be happy... with him. And I bet Sweden is a really nice place.

Christine read what Roselin had written to her and shook her head a bit, a faint smile slipping to her lips. It was a very nice though – wishful thinking—but a nice thought nonetheless. It was what Christine had thought before she had been brought to the manor. She’d thought that he’d realized how she felt about the situation, and that was why he’d released her from her promise so that she and Raoul could be wed, but here… here, he seemed to have forgotten…
I wish that were true, she wrote to the younger girl. It frightens me, not knowing what he will do if he finds out. He would commit murder for me… I had thought that my fears were all over back in Paris, but here, everything is so different that I’m not sure what to think any more….
It was a short note, but Christine hoped that it would clearly convey her feeling about Érik in regard to the situation about the wedding.

Roselin read the short note, and nodded while understanding. 'I know, but as you said things here are very different. Its a place where really good things and really bad things could happen. Especially when you throw Carlotta into the mix.' When she wrote that last sentence she giggled a bit and wrote on.
'I know you think its just wishful thinking but I really think its true. I have seen so many different versions of Phantom of the Opera and read so many books. I think their all a bit of him, even the really soft hearted Phantoms could be linked to your Erik. His heart is true and he'll do anything to make you happy. And anyways... from what I hear you have good friends here, including the other Eriks, that wouldn't let anything happen.' She smiled and handed back the much longer note to Christine and looked reassuringly.

The other girl took much longer writing for this note than she had the past few. Christine wondered if she were planning on writing an entire book for her to have to try to read through, but was quite relieved when it was only a single sheet that Roselin handed back, albeit with far more writing on it than her previous notes.
She read it over and could not help but to feel even more confused yet. La Carlotta was here!? But Christine certainly had not seen her yet if she was… One part Made her pale though Le Fantôme de l’Opéra… The Opera Ghost? There were several ‘versions’ of him, and books as well!? Oh, this place was so terribly maddening… But then again, she had seen the strange story with Raoul Christophe on the box with the moving lights on the screen… Was that what she was talking about?
Unfortunately, misfortune seems to have a talent for following me… I know that he respects me, and that he loves me… but what I don’t know is that he’ll accept that I’ll be happier this way… I thought that he would, once, but here… here everything has changed. I don’t know what I can trust of him and what I cannot trust of him any more…

Roselin read the letter back and paused for a moment to think. From when she read the book, it did take quite a long time to sort of let Christine go, and from what she heard from Lenoir and others of the manor - they came at different points in their adaptations, which could mean that her Erik came here before he let her go. Which is definitely not a good thing, certainly.
Roselin then began to write back. I think I understand. I am sorry, but I suppose there is nothing I can do anyways, we will just have to wait. But even if I must, I'll get Lenoir to help find Erik and keep him in one room until you are married. This is really weird for me because I usually ship Erik and Christine but for you... I'll make an exception. Everything will be alright one way or another. You'll get to be happy. She handed the paper back to the older blonde and smiled some, sighing a little bit.

Christine read Roselin’s letter and looked up at her very strangely before looking down at the thing and reading it over a few times again.
This is really weird for me because I usually ship Erik and Christine but for you... I'll make an exception.
…..Ship? She usually put her and Erik on a ship? But where to and why? She didn’t recall ever having been on a ship with Erik any time, much less having been put there by the bubbly little blonde girl before her.
She didn’t entirely understand what the other had written, but did get the feeling at least that she was trying to help, which was appreciated. With this, she began to write again.
Thank you for your offering to help, Roselin. It is nice to find friends willing to help you when you are lost from home. I don’t like seeing Érik so unhappy, but I honestly don’t know what I can do about any of this anymore. I feel as though I’m not in control of anything…
She handed the girl the letter with a slight, still sad smile and waited for her to read it.

Roselin smiled and she smiled even wider when she read that Christine had called her friend. It always made her feel more bubbly inside when people called her friend, it didn't happen very often. She then wrote back, but before handing her the letter back, glanced up at the clock and scribbled something else down and smiled sorry-looking when she gave the note back.
It read- I know, Erik is a really awesome guy, truly. All he wants is someone to love and unfortunately, he chose someone who was already in love with someone else. Hes smart... well... a genius really! I think he will be able to figure out how to be happy again and how to without hurting you. And anyways, it would probably take him a while to come up with a plan for anything and you know you have friends who will keep you safe. ..Oh and I am sorry but I am taking lessons from Lenoir, I should be going now.

The things that the other had said still confused Christine, but she was glad to know that people were willing to help should it be needed. And it was… interesting really speaking to one of these strange people from this different time and place. Christine tilted her head a little in confusion though when she was handed the next letter. Roselin seemed almost sorry… When she read the other’s letter though, she understood. She had an appointment scheduled and needed to be able to make it on time. Taking another paper and the pen, Christine wrote back a final letter.
Érik is the most brilliant man I have met in my life… and I do hope that someday he can be happy… but I wish that he would understand. I’m terribly sorry for keeping you from your lesson. It was very good of you to talk to me. I should let you go to your lesson.
She handed Roselin the note with a smile and gave the girl a kiss on the cheek the way friends did and then sat back and waited for her to read.

Roselin nodded and smiled when she read the note and received the friendly kiss on the check. She stood up and started to go but then turned around, talking for one last time, even though there was the language barrier between them. It had probably been the longest she had been quiet in a long while actually!
"Thank you... It's good to know I have more friends." She said then waved happily before turning back around and walking out. For a moment, she got into thinking about the whole manor. She only had friends here.... back in the village no one liked her... it was strange how things ended up, but she was quite glad that things have been turning up lately. And with that, Roselin sighed a bit and continued to smile as she went to go and meet up with Lenoir. Another day, another lesson, another friend!
