((Not sure how we wanted to end this thread. Ideas? All I’ve got is pulling some weeds and then maybe going back inside…))
Christine was confused. Had she hurt Adina by touching her? She certainly hadn’t intended on hurting her at all, and flinched slightly with the thought of it. This was all so very strange… She’d never met a real ghost before until now… She didn’t know at this point what all of the rules were for touching and the sort.
“I… I did…. Or tried to, rather… I… I’m sorry… did I hurt you at all?” Christine wasn’t entirely sure what to say to Adina at this point. She seemed to have recovered from the pain of contact, at least, though her expression still reflected some sort of pain, possibly even embarrassment, from within.
The maid smiled at her, and Christine smiled back instinctively, but she still wasn’t entirely convinced that all had been made better. She watched in a sort of fascination as Adina pulled a few weeds from the ground as if by magic, and wondered to herself how she had done it. It was all like something out of a story…
Christine bent down, taking grip around one of the weeds herself, and then pulled, turning a bit red in the face before finally the thing uprooted, the shift in force causing her to fall backward onto her rump and she laughed a little in spite of herself. “I wish I could do something like that” she commented, referring to Adina’s meathod od removing the weeds from the garden.

Feeling the strange sensation of Christine's touch upon her shoulder was surprising to the young woman but not painful. She stared at her own shoulder for a while as if expecting her body to solidify again. She frowned sadly as her disappointment set it. What did she expect? That one touch from a living being would bring her back to life?
Adina blinked a bit and noticed Christine's worried expression. "Oh! Non, you did not hurt me at all. It…. Just felt strange. I can't really explain it, but…. Almost cold, but not painful." She laughed to try and lighten the mood. "It almost tickled a little."
The willpower and supernatural force that the maid used seemed to drain her powers. She collapsed to the ground and panted heavily, her opaque form slowly fading to a dull, transparent glow. "Perhaps," She gasped between breaths. "Perhaps I 'overdid' it. Is that the word? But I do not think you would want to do this… It is very tiring afterwards."
She exhaled deeply and looked around the garden. It had been transformed into a magical place, a sort of sanctuary for her to escape to whenever she wanted! The maid's ghostly eyes looked up to Christine's and she smiled weakly. "I am beginning to wonder if I have pushed myself too much; I probably should rest now. I thank you for all the help, Mlle. Daaè."

Christine was still unsure what to make of this. It felt cold? She held out her hand and looked at it rather strangely. It didn’t feel cold—not to her, at least. But when she’d touched Adina…. Adina had felt cold to her? Was that simply the way that interactions worked? The dead felt cold to the living, and the living felt cold to the dead?
What the other said next though caused her to smile? It tickled!? Well that certainly wasn’t something which she had expected to hear. Her smile quickly faded though when she saw the maid collapse onto the ground, panting. Christine quickly scooted over to check on her. “Are you okay?” she asked her. When the other said that she might have overdone it, a small smile crept to her lips and she gave a little nod. “Yeah… Maybe you did… That’s all right though; it happens. As long as you’re going to be okay, I don’t think it should matter too much.”
She nodded in agreement when the other young woman said that she was going to retire. “That’s probably a god idea. You seem tired…. I should go too, really. I promised to meet someone a bit later… Perhaps we’ll see each other again soon though” The smile reappeared on Christine Svenna’s face, and she pulled herself up to her feet, brushing the dirt off of herself from when she had fallen. Then, giving a little wave ‘goodbye’ to the other, she went back inside of the Manor.

Adina wondered why she would only feel cold whenever anyone touched her. Was it because she was a ghost and that she could somehow feel cold? But it was strange… Instead of feeling happy that she could actually feel something, it made her very sad. Cold… Why cold?
"Oh, merci, I will be alright. Thank-you for your concern," She smiled and carefully got back to her feet. Her use of her powers must have drain her somehow, which seemed odd to her. She was a ghost, after all. But perhaps ghosts could also overdo things like their mortal cousins.
She smiled and nodded to Christine. "It was wonderful to meet you, Christine," She said with a polite curtsy. "I do hope our paths cross again one day. Until then…" Adina hated saying 'goodbyes', so she left it at that and waved as Christine went into the manor.
