Christine could not help but to allow a small giggle to escape her as Monsieur Carrière gave an almost child-like smile. It was rather charming, really. “Well, I’m glad that someone else find the idea a decent one… Yes, there is a small chapel here. I have been to it on several occasions actually. It has fixed up quite nicely from my first experience there.”
She nodded knowingly at his next comment where he wondered if he would ever get to see this whole place. “I certainly understand what you mean… This place is so large… I daresay it puts even the Garnier to shame.” as she said this, she looked about her room. The room itself was not so very grand, but knowing the immense walls and rooms that surrounded it was enough to make one feel small when compared to the sheer vastness of the place.
“Thank you again, for bringing this here,” she said, gesturing to the painting before returning her attention to focus on him. “It was very thoughtful of you to do so.”

Erik smiled a bit and nodded, though almost sadly which he quickly hid, though of course his eyes could easily betray him. As much as he was well off at the manor... he quite dearly missed the Garnier. He missed getting to go up and listen to the operas where as here, there was only an empty and broken stage and although he and Lenoir were set on fixing it, it still broke his heart to see the stage in such a way.
The Garnier took him some time to explore but he eventually knew every nook and cranny without having to see, which came handy in the dark. But here, he sometimes got lost from just leaving his domain, things were some how constantly changing and it was nearly impossible to memorize. He sighed slightly, hardly noticeable under his breath, then came back to the situation at hand and smiled at Christine who was again thanking him for the painting. "Of course."
"It is the least I can do, I had helped you and you really helped me as well. Knowing I was not alone in my longing for my loved one was reassuring and I am very glad you have found your loved one. I really do hope you both do well and that the wedding goes well." Erik said, his smile genuine as it had always been this whole conversation and day. His eyes then wandered up to the clock momentarily then his mouth when into a sort of O form and stood then looked kindly to Christine. "I don't mean to be rude but I was going to meet Lenoir at the opera house and try and to do something with the auditorium. I enjoyed your company very much." And with that he hesitated for a moment then started to go for the door.

Christine tilted her head, frowning ever so slightly. Something seemed off for a moment about Monsieur Carrière, though she was unable to place precisely what it was for the time being at least. She was a bit confused by it, but thought perhaps it had something to do with him missing someone, considering all of this talk of marriage.
It wasn’t very long before he had dismissed himself and began heading toward the door. Christine bit her lip for a moment before stopping him to speak to him a moment longer. “Wait…” she said, holding her hand out and taking a few steps toward him. “It is going to be a very small wedding… we hadn’t planned on having many guests, but… perhaps you would be willing to join us? It’s understandable if you would prefer not to, but your company would be dearly enjoyed.”

Erik paused at the frame of the door and turned back around to look at Christine when she told him to wait. He smiled gently at her and replied kindly. "Yes?" She then took a few steps forward and began to explain that the wedding was to be a small one, but then to his surprise, she asked if he would like to attended. He smiled, honored by her words and invitation.
With a lowish bow, he replied to her happily. "Mademoiselle, I would be honored to attend. I wouldn't miss it for anything and thank you for inviting me. Now, good day and I hope you continue to have pleasurable days." Erik said happily, then turned and gently closed the door behind himself. He hadn't actually expected for her to ask him and now there was a growing fuzzy feeling in his stomach. It would be his first time going to a wedding and hopefully wont be his last!
