Carlotta had fallen asleep with Franc held closely to her chest. She had no dream, and she might have slept longer if Franc hadn't began to squawk. Her eyelids fluttered open and her eyes landed directly on Franc. "CASH!" But no one had walked into the door. She sat up and released her bird from her grip, allowing him to leap onto her shoulder.
"Franc? What is wrong? There really was no reason to wake me." She sighed but then shrugged it off and thought it was probably a good idea to switch out of her stage clothes. As she searched through her clothes, she noticed something odd. Her clothes were all there... but so were all the clothes from her house. "Franc! Has someone been in my room? I am certain my house clothes weren't here..." She said, glaring at the clothes as if it had just tired to bite her. "CASH" Yelled Franc.
Franc flew from her shoulder and stood on his perch, watching his human companion from a distance. Carlotta sighed and grabbed a dusty white colored dress and changed into them. She then sat in front of her mirror and brushed out her hair, letting her slightly wavy and dark brown hair fall down her shoulders. But then decided to fuss more over her hair and put it back, tided up with a thick gray ribbon. Satisfied for the moment, she stood up and walked over to Franc and petted his head. "Sea bueno a mi mascota. I'll be back. I must speak to the managers. I need to find out what is going to happen with the opera and that little.... sapo Christine."
Carlotta then opened the door and walked out and closed the door and for a moment, didn't notice anything different. Then when she took a step to walking, she gasped and hit her back on the door. She knew for certain that this was not what the outside of her door looked like. She didn't recognize this hall at all. She spun around and opened the door and flung herself back into the room. Her room looked the same and Franc looked at her almost as if to say 'back already?'. "Por qué es diferente? I know that it didn't look like that before! Oh whats happening?" She then stopped and raised her hand to her head. "Mi cabeza .... I feel a headache coming on! Eh... I suppose I should go out and... and see what is going on here!" She said determinedly at last. She reentered the strange hall and looked around. "Hola? Hello? Anyone here?"

((*is absolutely in love with Franc* I SHIP CARLOTTA'S PARROTS, AND I'M PROUD OF IT! XD Sorry this has taken so long. There have been difficulties with being able to post at all recently since my computer has been acting up. I posted for Pookey if you hadn't seen already. The ironic part is that this is the point where (in the cannon) Erik takes Christine, so the managers would be all HOW THE HELL SHOULD WE KNOW!? XDDD))
The grand diva had just eaten dinner and was returning to her room there in the dormitories. Oddly enough, it seemed that there was often food sitting there in the dining room as if it had been prepared for guests, and since he was a guest here (albeit an unwilling one) she had taken the liberty of helping herself.
She really detested the tight living quarters, but there really was nothing else there. At least she had her own room and didn't have to share with any of the.... others she had seen about. The diva cringed at the thought of it. It was most certainly not something which she was accustomed to – living so close to other people. It was most certainly not the conditions which she would have expected being anyone's house guest....
It was as she was walking through the corridor toward her room when she heard a voice and caught sight of a young woman standing in the hall and looking about. Carlotta had never seen her before, not that she really paid that close attention to who she passed in the halls here anyway, but she did not recall seeing her in passing, and yet... and yet there was some sort of a slight familiarity about her.
“Buona sera....” she said, inspecting the woman. “I am 'ere. Why do you ask?”

Carlotta's heart jumped as she heard another woman's voice. She clung to the sides of her dress and resisted glaring at the woman. She looked at the other, knowing she had never seen the woman before. However, there was something she felt she recognized about the woman and trusting her instincts upon this, she strutted a few steps toward the woman.
"Reassure me that I am still at the Paris Opera House... I just walked out of my room and suddenly came to this hall way I do not recognize at all. I am sure I am just stressed from tonight's most recent events." Then remembering the events from just a few hours ago... she had been humiliated! The only person she could think that would have done this to her was that... that little sapo Christine!
So from a slight uneasy feeling to a fit of outrage, she began to ramble on. "Oh! You must have seen what occurred tonight! Era una locura! Madness! Of course I should not have ignored the warnings, the bad omen. Oh never mind about that, do tell me that the managers have this under control and will get rid of the wretched culprit!" Carlotta sputtered out. And of course, when she spoke of the culprit, she thought of Christine Daae.

The grand diva's emerald green eyes narrowed into a leer as she stared down the young woman before her. How dare she speak to her in such a tone. The little wench obviously had no idea who she was speaking to, or she would surely have more respect than that. No one demanded that La Carlotta tell them anything!
“You would do well to watch your tongue, Signorina,” Carlotta stated, resting her hands on her hips. “Of course we are not in the Paris Opera house, or else I would have a gala to be preparing for right now. Non ho un idea di cosa tu stia parlando...”

Carlotta's jaw nearly dropped when the woman told her she should keep quiet and she even had the gull to tell her that she was not in the Paris Opera house. Who did this woman think she was? To disrespect La Carlotta, it was a hideous crime! A smile twitched its way onto Carlotta's face, though she felt anything but happiness and good feelings.
"It's not very polite joke so rudely. Where on earth could I be if I was not in the Paris Opera house, when I haven't come out of my room since entering it, in the Opera house?" She said with a bitter sweet tone. "And you speak of the Paris Opera house as if you have been in it all these years... and yet I have never seen you before. Do tell me your name. Tengo curiosidad..." She said, battering her eyes slightly with a wide smile. Though she would not keep this up for very much longer, she just wanted to strangle the woman.

The Italiana gave a bitter dry laugh when that mere girl told her that she 'should not joke so rudely.' “I do not joke, bambina,” she said, the name almost being an insult. “If we were in the Paris opera house, then I would have a gala ending in approximately an hour. You would do well to speak with more respect to your superiors”
Carlotta's green eyes narrowed, a smirk playing upon her deep lips. “I have been the leading soprano at the Paris Opera for a good five seasons now. You must be blind if you have not seen me. I am Signora Carlotta Giudicelli, La Carlotta, and contracted prima donna.”

Carlotta kept herself from letting the growl escape her throat. She should speak with respect to her superiors? Ha! Everyone at the Opera House knows that although Carlotta was a bit young, she was their star and was superior to all around her. She had never been spoken to in such a dangerous way, dangerous for the other woman's health. She would have the managers fire her right on the spot.
Carlotta's one eye brow went up slightly when this woman had been the leading soprano for five seasons and that she was blind to have not seen her. But when the green eyed witch revealed her name, Carlotta actually began to giggle. She wasn't quite sure if she should be complimented that this woman wanted to be like herself or offended all together, perhaps a bit of both. "Very clever Signora. However, you have my last name wrong, Corazon. Carlotta Corazon." Carlotta said amused, she did not appreciate this person using her name- even if to humor.

Carlotta gave a dry chuckle before clenching her jaw and narrowing her eyes into a leer at the little wench before her. She was practically bearing her teeth. “Your name? Your name!? Ha! You immature, conceited little brat! Corazón. Corazón! I have been performing since before you could write your name, and I will not be trifled with by some little girl who doesn't know a thing she's talking about.”
The diva inhaled, puffing up her chest with pride and planting her fists upon her hips, leering at the younger woman over her little button nose, her rosy lips now pursed together in a sort grimacing scowl. “I will not be mocked, you incredulous wench!”

Carlotta gasped, in a mixture of shock and pure anger. She wanted to rip the woman to shreds. "H-How dare you...!" She managed to stutter out and then her face turned bright red. "Bruja malvada! Cómo te atreves a decir semejante estupidez! Yo soy de La Carlotta! Espero que el diablo roba todas las almas que son cualquier cosa como si usted!" By the time she was done speaking, her face was nearly purple and then the rage transferred from speaking to action.
Carlotta slapped the woman's plump face like a slash from a whip. She then breathed out for a stunned moment, feeling a bit better. For a moment, she got to enjoy silence. For a moment, she got to pretend that she was at the Opera House and that everything was going her way. For a moment, she got to pretend that the person she just slapped was not this imposter, but Christine Daae. However, none of these were true and the moments fallowing the silence were some that she was going to regret and hate and have a grudge for a long time after.

Carlotta stood there in shock for a moment. That insolent little twerp had dared to touch her!Her jaw clenched and she could feel her cheeks burning red with fury. No one laid a finger on La Carlotta! This petty wench would pay!
“È il male piccolo vagabondo! Dubito che si potrebbe anche avere il talento sufficiente per farne la metà delle aziende che ho eseguite in, squillo!” the diva spat out in her native Italian tongue at a record speed before firmly slapping her hand across the younger woman's face. This meant war!

Carlotta nearly toppled over backwards and her cheek throbbed madly from the smack. For a moment, she couldn't do anything but be bent over slightly with her mouth slightly gaped open and the sting on her face. She had never been smacked before, not by anyone, not even her parents! But then the moment of shock was over and her face turned as red as the mark that the imposter's hand had left on her cheek.
Carlotta's hand balled into a tight fist and the other hand laid flat as she suddenly swung it as fast and hard as she could and back handed the Italian woman face. "Don't you DARE ever touch me again!" She yelled at the plump woman. Carlotta had never been in a physical fight like this... but in a way... she was loving it. It was rebellious and her parents would greatly disapprove of it. Plus, it was giving her some new experiences... one of which includes being this pissed off at another woman, which could probably compete with her hatred for Christine.

The fiery redhead's teeth grit tightly together, her emerald eyes shooting flames as she held her cheek and leered at the younger woman. How dare she! Oh, the little tramp would pay, and she would pay quite dearly. Carlotta couldn't help but wonder if her parents were the ones to have raised her to have such an appalling lack of manners. Oh, people these days, spoiling their children into brats like this, just like her own parents had done with her older sister...
“Don't you touch me, you insolent, conceited little posatore!” And with that, the dive curled her plump little hand into a fist and swung straight for the other woman's face, landing a punch smack on her nose! That should teach her to lay a finger on La Carlotta!

Carlotta winced in pain and gripped her nose. That smarted and she bent over slightly, her eyes closed tightly and both hands cupped over her nose. Luckily, no blood came but have never been punched before, it definitely felt painful enough to make her noes bleed. Carlotta groaned slightly but then stood tall and removed her hands, showing a nose that looked so red as if she had been out in the winter cold.
Carlotta's eyes burned coldly that would freeze anyone to the spot. She was done throwing back hits, as good as being rebellious felt. She tried to string a cord that if this so-called 'Carlotta' was anything like herself, which she definitely was not - especially in beauty and voice, then she knew something that might just strike home. " Well 'Carlotta'. Crees que has ganado esta ronda? I'll show you this is far from over. Muy lejos de haber terminado! Not only are you no where equal in beauty but you are also are quite possibly worse then Christine Daae! In every way!"

((This feels so weird, because I play both of their Christines XDDD BTW... FIRST POST IN THREAD OF THE MONTH SINCE IT WAS AWARDED FTW! Sorry it took me so long. I've been busy/lacking on Mamma Muse.))
For a brief, fleeting moment, a look of absolute terror came to Carlotta's emerald eyes. That name... That name which she detested so... How would this woman know about her... but then again, how wouldn't she? After all, all of the papers had written about it.
Her eyes narrowed, burning flames. “You silly little pig. Who are you to be any sort of a judge of beauty? And you most certainly cannot be any judge of nearly anything else, bambina,” she said, mockingly. What did this young thing know of the world?

Oh how good it felt to see that small glint of terror flash across the other woman's face! It was wonderful to have finally hit a sore spot, even if that spot was a bit of her own weakness as well. How strange... if she was to beat this woman in any way... she would have to inflict her own weaknesses as well? What a weird feat! Now what else could she throw to make her go absolutely off her rocker?
Carlotta cringed slightly when the furious little woman called her pig. She hated that dirty little name calling! It was one of the filthiest animals she had ever known... though this 'Carlotta' went much farther then any pig. She narrowed her eyes and began to circle the other. "Usted debe saber nada de la belleza usted mismo! You know nothing! You are older... you'll loose you voice, horrid as it is, much sooner than I will. I am probably richer too, because people actually pay good francs to listen to me sing! They probably only pay you so to try and shush you up! She said, vigorously trying to think of more cards to play.
"Su canto probablemente hace que las personas se quedan sordos! I wouldn't waste a single franc on you." Carlotta then paused, and smiled a little. "Why, I hear that Christine is doing so well, she is actually making more francs than you! People from all over the world rather watch and listen to her than a pathetic, older, little cerdo. Ah.... and she can probably move around the stage a lot better too!" Carlotta laughed. Oh yes, she was trying to pin point every little nerve she could possibly find. If only Christine boiled so easily as this woman! She would have been ably to get rid of her in no time. But no matter, either way, Christine will be dust in the wind and Carlotta will win. Just as she always does.
