Unable to contain her overwhelming joy still even when Christine took her hands and felt the light affectionate squeeze to her frail old fingers. Never had a bolder, brighter smile graced those old lips since the day her beloved late Husband proposed to her. "Oh, my! Oh, goodness!" Retracting a hand to place upon her chest as she was on the verge of hyperventilating from the excitement. Lightly she giggled in intervals, still holding her chest and holding Christine's hand. "Oh my goodness! A baby. A baby!" another light snicker at the thought- "I'm going to be a Grandmother!" And giggled once again to place her hand that was upon her chest up to her withered mouth, as those eyes that barely aged sparkled. "Oh, my dear Christine! This is wonderful news!" The thought of little feet in this big mansion was such a vision of joy.
As she somewhat started to settle down from the exciting news, she gazed back at Christine like a young school girl and a smile, "No doubt Monsieur de Chagny is mighty proud," the levels of her voice shifted with every form of positive emotion.
"Have you begun on the Nursery?" As she turned her eyes away a moment to look at the food then turned back to Christine, "Goodness! Have you thought about a Wet Nurse? Who will help care for the child?!?" And looked rather snobbish, "Simply can't rely upon that housemaid since I still haven't seen her in months!" fluttering of eyes with a tremble of her head as though she was shaking it before returning to normal. The old lady was simply disgusted with the fact that her former maid skipped out on her like that.
"My Goodness, Christine. You have a lot of planning and preparation for the arrival of the baby, don't you?" Holding Christine's hand as the other came over to pat the top of the younger mother-to-be's hand as Mamma smiled, "What can I help you with, my dear?"
