Gustave listened, sill fidgeting impatiently, as his father hugged him and spoke to him, asking him if Monsieur de Chagny – the one who was getting married – had given him the ring yet. The little boy shook his head to indicate the negative. He listened further as his father told him to take very good care of the ring when he did give it to him, and not lose or misplace it.
“Yes, father,” the boy said as his mother took his hand. He was ready for his important job, and quite excited for it as well. He walked with his parents as the trio went down to the place where the wedding was to be held.

A wedding? Oh, Christine Svenna loved weddings! It wasn't often that she had the opportunity to attend one, and so when Vincent had invited her, she'd gladly accepted his invitation. She didn't know the man exceptionally well, but she figured that he must not know many other people here in the manor anyway, so she didn't bother too much with the thought.
She'd put up her hair all pretty and wore a cream and blue dress with a matching hat and gloves. She knew that it was still a bit early, so she had plenty of time to continue preparing. She'd heard that both raoul and Erik were going to be there as well, along with a few other people she knew, like Roselin, and of course those she'd met at the bridal shower.
After putting on a bit of makeup, she picked up a little gift bag off of her dresser and then set out. She wanted to leave a little early, because she wasn't entirely sure where the chapel was. Perhaps she woul even bump into Erik or Raoul along the way...

Roselin smiled with a light blush and her toe slightly tapping in uncontainable excitement. "Sorry." She laughed for having spoken to quickly, something she was famous for doing. Then laughed a little louder when she asked what a bouncer was. "Oh they are kind of like guards, they kick out anyone who is making trouble." Then rushed and closed the door as soon as she heard her request. "Yeah! Sorry." She laughed.
With the buzz of excitement still drilling holes, Roselin started to ramble off once again. "Hey, am I dressed alright for being the flower girl? I really don't exactly know how a flower girl would dress up except in the movies you know and usually the flower girl is really cute little-little girl with a frolicky white dress- is frolicky the right word? Is it even a word?- anyways, I can't wait for things to start. Your dress is going to be sooooo pretty, I am sure of it! When do things start again? Oh well, can't wait too see others here! Wait, what if I mess up?! Can a flower girl even mess up! Oh I really wish I didn't talk so much!" She threw her hands up into the air and laughed.

The young bride listened as Roselin explained to her what a bounder was. She tilted her head a little. It wasn't so much the definition that confused her (it was a very simple concept, really) so much as it was the name. Why would anyone call a guard a bouncer? Did they bounce at all? She was so confused.. but she supposed it may have been better to dismiss it.
As the girl continued to chatter away, she couldn't help but to smile. It was so nice to see someone as excited about the wedding as she and Raoul were. She just chuckled and shook her head. The girl was speaking so fast, and she couldn't catch all of what she was saying. “Thank you, Roselin. You look beautiful. Assaie-toi?” She motioned for the girl to come sit in one of the chairs beside her. It would be nice to having someone to talk to, even if they couldn't understand everything the other said. She hoped that Meg and Emilie would be there soon. They were supposed to help her prepare for the ceremony...

Erik looked for the best clothing he could find. He found his finest white silk shirt, black velvet vest, most nice looking black pants and tailcoat, his most shoe-shined shoes, his most pristine white gloves, his nicest black cape, and a simple shiny black cane. He hoped he wasn't over doing it but he figured that the best cloths were to be for the best occasions.
Erik touched up the bottom of his face some then placed his white mask on his face and tied it securely to his face. He wondered if his own Christine had been invited. Well... if she was there she would be there and perhaps he'll get to exchange some pleasant conversation with her. And if she wasn't....well.... he was going to have to converse with someone else, that's all. But... it just almost didn't feel right going to a wedding and not knowing if Christine was going to be there or not, could that be a hint?.......Nah.
Erik took his cane in hand, checked himself over one more time and when he saw he was fit for what he figured would be fit for a wedding service, he briskly walked to his elevator, got it, and pressed the button for ground floor. He was going to be a bit early, but there was no harm in that, right? Perhaps if there was any last minuet things, whatever they may be, he could help with them. As he walked through another corridor, he had the sudden feeling that the wedding was going to be very eventful. He then finally arrived to the main part of the church, which he was not even aware of them having, and walked down the a little ways and then sat on the closest end of one of the church benches and wondered.... how early was he?

Roselin smiled a little wider when Christine said that she looked beautiful. And for a single split second, she imagined it was her mother saying it to her. She shook it off before it did any damage to her happy emotions and then nodded when Christine pointed to the chair and she assumed she had been asked to sit.
Roselin sat in the seat next to Christine and smiled. "So is there a way that you and Raoul are going to go somewhere else for your honeymoon? I highly suggest Casablanca... or is that just a movie? Anyways its a good movie but I think its a real place. Well I am sure if you really could go anywhere for your honeymoon it would be Paris, right? That's what many people do anyways but you guys actually came from Paris so. Anyways, can't wait for everything to start!" She spoke in a blur of words. Its a wonder anyone could understand her.

Christine’s smile widened when Roselin came and sat with her there in the little preparation room. Neither her maid of honor, her matron of honor, nor Meg (whom had promised to do her makeup) had arrived, and while she was beginning to grow a bit nervous about being able to get ready in time, having Roselin there to sit with her made her feel a bit better. She hoped the girl didn’t mind her still being dressed in her underthings (it was a bit difficult to put on the dress by herself, and she wished to take great care in keeping it in good condition, considering it had belonged to her mother) but she needed someone else there to help her dress.
She shook her head a little, giggling at the girl’s quick words. She’d practiced her English quite a bit, but Roselin spoke so quickly, it was difficult to catch much of what she was saying. There were only a few words she caught: Raoul, honeymoon, Casablanca, go… And then Christine’s smile faded almost instantly.
Paris…
She fell completely silent for a moment. “I… I do not know where we are going… but it is not Paris…” She forced herself to laugh despite the fact that it was quite apparent she was still upset. “Our original plan was to go to Sweden… but we’re not going there either. Nor are we going to Perros where we met… I do not know where we are going… but I do know wherever it is, it will not be Paris… Believe me, I would nothing more… but we cannot… we are trapped here…”

Roselin just caught the disappearance of her smile at the mention of Paris. She immediately regretted it and felt bad. Not Paris... and Christine was obviously stumped at the idea of not getting to go to Paris, but would do what she could while she was here. She then intently listened as Christine explain her original plans about going to Sweden and Perros.
"I am so sorry! I shouldn't have mentioned Paris at all. Though I hear its kind of nice this time of the year. But anyways, I am totally sorry you're-you're trapped! But if it gives you any sort of comfort, I don't think it should really matter where you'll have to go or be... because... I think no matter where you go or stay, as long as you guys have each other, any sort of place should at least be bearable, right?" She said, quickly trying to make her feel better. She shouldn't feel down at all on her wedding day!

Christine just shook her head, massaging her temples gently. This wasn’t the time for this… This wasn’t the time to become so upset, but how could she help it, really? She and her soon-to-be-husband would never be able to see the place they both called home ever again…
Christine had never been one to be stuck in the same place for very long. From the time she was five years old, she and her father had traveled around together, and even after they had settled in with the Professor and his wife, they had still taken their little journeys from time to time. Even in Paris, after her father’s death, it had never been as if she were truly bound to one place. The city was quite expansive, and whenever she wanted to, if the money was available, she could take a couple days trip to Perros or somewhere wlse not too terribly far…
But here… here it was different. Everything here seemed so… so empty…
“Oui, it is,” she replied simply and softly when Roselin said she’d heard it was nice this time of year. She was silent a moment more as the girl continued. She still couldn’t comprehend every word which came out of the girl’s mouth, but she did understand a few words.
trapped, comfort, go, stay, each other, place, bearable…
She sat there a moment, trying to piece together the words. Something about being trapped, but it was comforting to have each other, so going or staying any place could be bearable? Maybe? It sort of made sense. She only wished the language barrier didn’t pose so much of an issue as it usually did…
She managed a faint smile and nodded a little at Roselin. The girl didn’t mean any harm. She was only trying to help, after all… Christine bit her lips a little and turned to the door, wondering where Emilie and Meg and Joy were. It would be somewhat bad if none of them showed up… Maybe she should try to get ready on her own, or ask Roselin, to help her?
“Roselin?” she asked, taking a breath to try to calm down again. “Would you like to help me?”

Roselin smiled, hoping that her words would sort of hit home and make her feel better, and even possibly breath a little easier. Her face then lit up when Christine then asked if Roselin could help her. Sure she had never been to a wedding before but that didn't mean she never imagined about her own. She remembered dreaming about the gowns she would wear, the beautiful evening setting, and the make up!
"Would I ever!" Roselin squealed happily. But she had no idea what to help with first. She looked at the assortment of makeup and hair equipment. "Did I ever tell you that I use to watch my mom do her own make up? I loved watching because she would always do different things each time and even though they didn't always turn out as she wanted them too, they were all beautiful. Sometimes she would even let me do her make up even though I was just a little little kid." Roselin laughed, though there was almost a tone of loneliness or sadness to it. "Anyways, what can I help with?" She asked eagerly.

Christine smiled brightly when little Roselin agreed to help her prepare for the ceremony. She asked what she could do to help, and Christine thought for a moment, tapping her finger to her lips lightly as her blue eyes scanned the little room in which they were sitting.
“Hmmmm… You can help me with my dress, yes? Is… difficult to put on alone. Have you… euh…” She thought for a moment again, making tightening gestures with her hands. She’d forgotten how to ask whether or not she could help tighten her into her corset.
She really was grateful that Roselin was willing to help. She didn’t know where Emilie or Meg were, and she was beginning to grow quite anxious about the whole thing. She wasn’t sure if she’d be able to get ready in time at this rate.

Roselin was happy to help but the gesture confused her. She understood it was something.... tightening? Putting together. Well... she wasn't wearing any laced shoes.... oh! It took her a moment to realize that she meant her corset, she figured after a moment of staring confusedly. "Your corset! I've got it!" She said smiling.
It wouldn't be too difficult to do, right? Like lacing up shoes? Probably something like that... but taking a little longer. She paused for a moment and looked around, she realized that if it were just her, all of this would probably take a little while...er... more than a little while. "Hey Christine ... before I do.... would you like me to go out there and see if there is anyone out there that can help? I am sure things would be a little quicker with more help, right?" She asked, wondering how many people were out there yet.

The other girl seemed a little bit confused at first by Christine’s gestures, but she eventually understood what it was that she was trying to tell her, about the corset. The bride smiled brightly when Roselin said that she would be able to help her. “Thank you,” she said to her.
“Ja? she asked when the girl addressed her. Roselin asked her if she would like to see if there was anyone out in the hallway who might be able to help them with the getting ready portion. “Yes, might be faster…” Christine said in broken English. “You can ask? Please?”

Roselin nodded happily when Christine had told her that it would be faster. That's what she figured of course! She went out quickly and went to find people. When she got into the main seating area, it was extremely quiet and there were very few people around. In fact, she only saw one person right now.
Roselin wondered if she should just wait for some of the other ladies to show up like Svenna.... but the whole point was to stop waiting around and to get people to help! She ran up to the masked man that she had yet to actually meet.... Lenoir's friend.... and one of her favorite phantoms! One would think that she would be use to seeing her favorite masked men, but no. She still got the giggly fangirl bubbles in the pit of her stomach.
"Hey Erik, I am Roselin, I would totally have so much to say to you right now but I think Christine could use your help. I am trying to help her get ready and all but truth be told, I don't know much about dresses and it would take me absolutely forever to actually tighten and everything with her corset. Here! I'll share you to where the room is." She said, taking the tall masked man's hand and automatically pulling him along. He barely had time to grab his cane before the young blonde guided him to outside Christine's dressing room. "Wait right here." She told him then went into the room and closed it behind her.
"Okay.... Svenna is not here yet and no one has really arrived yet either and if some of the guys have already gotten in, their probably helping with Raoul already, right? Well, there was only one person I actually saw, though I promise I'll go out and look for more in a little while when more people might have shown up. Well anyways, the person I grabbed I know is one hundred percent better than me with corsets since, I'll be honest, I have no idea how long it would have taken me, unless its anything easy like tying shoes. Em... and it happens to be an Erik. I really hope that's alright but he's standing outside of the door, probably confused as most people are after talking to me, and I think he could help. But if you don't want him too, I can send him back." Roselin said, laughing a bit at the end.

Christine was quite happy that she had Roselin there to help her now with the process of the wedding, as it seemed that the others who were supposed to do so were running a tad bit late. She sat there and breathed deeply, trying to remain calm before the ceremony, as she waited for Roselin to return.
When she heard the door reopen though, and the girl reenter, she turned to greet her with a smile. "Did you find help?" she asked her. She hoped that Meg and or Emilie would come soon as well. The more help, the more quickly and efficiently the process would occur.
