((This thread is for Meg and Leffie only. Please do not post unless you were part of the plotting))
It was eight thirty in the morning when the audition monitor arrived in the room, setting a black tote bag down under the folding table at the front of the room, and then sitting gown in the chair with a clipboard, a pen, and some papers which she promptly set down on top of the table. She reached into her tote and dug through a moment, making sure that she hadn’t forgotten anything too terribly important.
Once she had looked through a moment and was satisfied, she stood up, paining a wry smile onto her face and looking over the fresh meat sitting throughout some of the chairs in the audition room. “Hello everyone. I hope you all brought proper shoes and attire for the audition because I’d like to remind you that we will not provide them for anyone. Just as a reminder, we do not honor any sort of unofficial lists, so if you could all sign up in an orderly fashion, it would be much appreciated. The more smoothly this audition goes, the sooner I and the people in the room can go home. I have the list set here, please come up, write your name down—do not sign up anyone else—and then have a seat and wait to be called. They will begin seeing people at none o’clock, so be here when they start. If you are not here when your name is called, you will not be allowed to audition, understood?”
She looked around a moment, watching for a few nods among the various people inside of the holding room already. “Excellent! An accompanist is provided for those of you singing as well. Have your music marked. The accompanist cannot transpose.” And with that, she sat back down in her chair, crossing one leg over her opposite thigh, and tapping her fingers on the folding table waiting for the hopefuls in the room to come up and sign their name.
